Peaceful and quiet getaway

September 2017 - Very charming apartment in a farmhouse. Grounds were beautiful. Peaceful and quiet getaway, but only 10 minutes drive to San Gimignano, and very easy to travel throughout the Chianti region.

Our host Alex was very friendly.

Fabulous service! Will recommend you to anyone travelling to Italy and will definitely book through Summer In Italy again if returning to Italy.

June 2010 - We had a wonderful time, the apartment was clean on arrival and the gardens and swimming pool were in very good condition.

We found Alessandro and Margherita very accommodating hosts who spoke very good English. They were very willing to help us out with directions and places to go. Thank you to both of you for making our holiday so memorable.

We loved it so much that we would like to return there again and would recommend it to anybody.

Travel tips

  • You must buy your groceries and all food stuffs in Poggibonsi before arriving at the apartment.
  • The road up to Lathe apartment from Ulignano is very hard to find, so please be vigilant and look for the signs.
  • Do your shopping at PAM store which is on the way to Appartamento La Tortora.
  • It is important that you have a GPS in your car, not only to find the accommodation but your way around.

September 2005 - We had an excellent holiday in a very relaxed environment which had great character.

The apartment was very nicely decorated and furnished and well equipped. The gardens and pool were kept in very good order.

The hosts, Alex and Margherita were welcoming and attentive without ever being intrusive.

All of which resulted in providing a lovely home from home.
