• The public transport is so good that a car is unnecessary. We hired a car for the four weeks we were there but were frightened by the Italian "style" of driving and consequently left the car outside the property for most of our stay! We cheaply and easily travelled to Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii and other resorts on public transport

• Don't be frightened to ask. Everyone is helpful. Language, or lack of it, is not a barrier in any way.
• Always buy return bus tickets and make sure you get each ticket validated in the machine as you get on the bus. It will all become self-evident.
• Go walking. The walking trails are endless and they are well marked and maintained.
