It is 20 km (approximately 12 miles) from Siena and 80 km (50 miles) from Florence. It has a bedroom with a double bed, two bedrooms with two single beds each, two full bathrooms and a bathroom with toilet only, a living room with a fireplace and a kitchen. The house Casa Giobatta B is built on two levels. You will have at your disposal a large private garden, with a lawn edged by high and shadowy trees. In a corner, adjacent to the house, you will find a large patio, partly shaded by a wood roof. The patio is equipped with a table and chairs. Sitting and relaxing there, you will have in front of you a wide view of the hills. You will enter the living room from the garden through a large glass door. The living room in an elegant and welcoming room, with a nice fireplace. A sofa and armchairs are placed in front of the fireplace. A large arch made of red bricks separates the sitting area from the cooking/dining area. In the cooking area you will find a four-burner cooker, an oven, a refrigerator with freezer and a dishwasher. The washing machine is located in a shared area, where you will also be able to hang your clothes to dry. From the living room you will be able to reach a small bathroom which only has a wash basin, a toilet and a bidet. The bedrooms are located on the first floor, and you will be able to reach them along an internal stairway. There are two bathrooms: one of them has a bath tub, the other one has a shower. The house is furnished in a complete and accurate way, in the characteristic style of the Tuscan countryside. The floors are of terracotta tile, and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams. The house has a parking lot and is equipped with winter heating. The location The house is part of a seventeenth-century hamlet, made up of a noble villa, a church and a small group of houses. Casa Giobatta B is wall to wall to the lovely little church. It used to be the home of the local priest. All around you will only see the splendid countryside. Indeed a large farming estate surrounded this hamlet back in the seventeenth century, and today it still does. The estate covers more than a thousand hectares (2470 acres) on the hills near Siena. The area is part of the "Crete Senesi", a protected area rich of historical and natural beauties. All around you will see low argillaceous hills that are spread out like waves in the ocean as far as meets the eye. You will be in the middle of the most famous and reproduced Tuscan scenery in paintings! Here every season of the year carries its fascinating trait: in spring, hues of light green cover the hills and lawns; in summer, the golden color of wheat takes over the hills; and during fall, thousands of swarthy and dark green shades dominate. The farming estate where Casa Giobatta B is located organically grows wheat used for the making of pasta, fodder for its own livestock, the Chianina cattle breed, and extra-virgin olive oil. Both villa and hamlet have been renovated into vacation houses; a process which respected the former architectural structure of the buildings made of stones and red bricks. The guests of the farmhouse share a large swimming pool, a tennis court and a children's playground. As you arrive, look around. You will feel as if time had slowed down. There is no traffic and there are no cars, if not your own. Here everything is beautiful, tidy and peaceful, and it looks like it has never changed. There will be a reception with staff at your disposal for your every need. At the reception is also available a large lounge with sofas and a fireplace, as well as a computer connected to the Internet. The little church of the hamlet has been consecrated and masses are held every Sunday at 11 a.m. The garden, the swimming pool and the tennis court As a guest of Casa Giobatta B you will have at your disposal, besides your private garden, plenty of outdoor space shared with the other guests of the hamlet. Swimming pool, tennis court and children's playground are located at approximately 50 meters (yard) from the apartments, in a panoramic position. The swimming pool is 12 x 8 meters (40 x 26 feet). Around the pool there are deck chairs and umbrellas. Once lying in the sun, your eyes will meet only lawns, trees and flowers. A view of low and green hills will unfold before you. The air is fresh, clean and filled with the smell of flowers and herbs. You will be able to spend long and pleasant hours outdoors accompanied either by your friends, a book in hands, or a glass of good Tuscan wine. Next to the pool that is a large playground where your children will have fun playing free. They will find it equipped with swingers, slides and a sandbox. If you are fond of hiking, marked trekking trails will allow you to visit the estate. You will discover places of evocative natural beauty. Nearby tourist attractions Once at Casa Giobatta B, you will enjoy a wonderful vacation in Tuscany! Casa Giobatta B is about 9 km (5.5 miles) away from Monteroni D'Arbia, which is the nearest town where you can find shops and restaurants. Siena is 20 km (12.4 miles) away and Florence is 80 km (49.7 miles) away. You will be in a quite convenient position to visit the whole Tuscany. You will be close to the area of production of the Chianti Senese and Brunello di Montalcino wines. Don't forget to visit the wine cellars of the area! Casa Giobatta also has a large parking lot.
