Holiday Home Description

Casa Susanna is a bright and elegant apartment which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps four people. From Casa Susanna you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coast, from Positano to the island of Capri and of the small Li Galli islands. Casa Susanna is 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a private see-view terrace, air conditioning and winter heating.

You will be at a short distance from the center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the stop for the SITA bus a few meters (feet) away and the closest beach at 300 meters (approximately 990 feet) including 400 stairway steps. You will reach Casa Susanna from the street level going down approximately 12 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Casa Susanna. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).

Casa Susanna is an ancient fishermen's house, completely renewed in 2009.

When you arrive on the large terrace you will be happy to have chosen Casa Susanna for your vacation: your sight will be able to wander free over an uninterrupted wide horizon of sky and sea, and over one of the most beautiful seascapes that the charming coast of Amalfi is able to offer.

Below the terrace you will see short tract of coast, and then the cliff steeply drops into the sea. This tract of coast is covered by the green of the olive trees, broken here and there by the white roofs of a few small houses. Further away, your sight will embrace a wide view of the sea and of the coast which surrounds the characteristic village of Positano, and will reach Punta Campanella and the island of Capri. The famous Faraglioni of Capri can be seen at the horizon, and, closer, you can admire the small islands of Li Galli.

A large window separates the living room from the terrace, allowing you to enjoy the splendid view of the sea from inside.

You will be able to walk to the sea and to a characteristic beach cut into the cliff (called "La Gavitella") along a path that includes approximately 400 steps. A bit further away, at approximately 1.5 km (one mile), you will find the beautiful beach of Praia, which can be reached by bus, and where you will be able to rent small boats and take diving classes. During the good seasons cafes and restaurants are open at both beaches.

If you like hiking, in the area you will find walks that are famous for their extraordinary beauty, such as the "Sentiero degli Dei": Path of the Gods.

Casa Susanna is the right choice if you are looking for a simple and comfortable place and for the most authentic charm of the Amalfi Coast, just out of the frantic holiday life of the most crowded areas.

The tourist spots of the coast are easily reached, since just a few steps from the house you can take the local bus, which connects Praiano to the beach of Praia (1.5 km, 1.5 miles) and with Positano (6 km, 4 miles). Long distance buses are also available, and will allow you to reach Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Naples, Pompeii, Paestum and so on. Ferries to reach Capri, Sorrento as well as the other villages along the coast are available in Positano (6 km, 4 miles) and in Amalfi (8 km, 5 miles).

Terrace

The terrace is 80 square meters (860 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a porch. It is equipped with tables, chairs, a sun umbrella and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will have a fascinating view of the sea and of the coast from Positano to Punta Campanella, the western tip of the Sorrentine peninsula, and of the island of Capri at the horizon.

Living Room

The furnishings of the living room are simple. They include a sofa. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the large terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Kitchen

You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room through an arched opening. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!). The kitchen has a small window.

Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom

You will be able to enter the bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In this room you will find a small satellite television. The room has a small window that opens into the living room. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and large fully-enclosed shower. Here you will also find a washing machine.

Bedroom 2

You will be able to enter the bedroom from the living room and from the corridor. The furnishings include two single divan beds. In this room you will find a small satellite television.

Bathroom

The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and large fully-enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Casa Susanna the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 100, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
