It can sleep up to 3 peersons and it is equipped with air conditioning. It is located in Praiano, a well-known tourist spot of the Amalfi Coast. It is close to the main road and to the pedestrian access to the beach. The beach is approximately 300 meters (330 yards) from the house. Casa Marina is at the first floor of a small characteristic building in the style of the coast of Amalfi. It has a large terrace decorated by terracotta amphoras and pots. From this terrace you will enjoy the view of the sky and the sea right in front of you. If you look down you will see the coast, green because of the lucid leaves of the lemon trees that cover it, that steeply declines toward the sea. The house clings to the cliff, and it is surmounted by a garden of lemon trees. It is white and luminous. Casa Marina is part of a picturesque group of small houses, built along the profile of the road and of the rocky coast. To reach it from the main road, you only have to climb approximately 30 steps. It has been carefully renewed in 2003. From the main entrance you will enter a very large room, divided into a living room and a sleeping area by the furniture. In the sleeping area you will find a large double bed. By the bed, a stair leads to the bathroom. The large bathroom has a shower and is tiled with lucid hand-painted majolica tiles. In the bathroom you will also find a washing machine. The living room is equipped with a divan bed for one sleeping place, a kitchenette with a 4-burner cooker, oven, and a refrigerator with freezer, a comfortable table with chairs, and a television. The furnishing is elegant and pleasant, cheered up by colored piece of ceramiics, hand-made by the owners, who craft artistic ceramics in their workshop. From the living room you will be able to access the terrace, quite large indeed, which is equipped with deck chairs, tables and chairs, and where you will also find a fountain. Part of the terrace is covered by a pergola, under which you will be able to relax or dine "al fresco". A very special spot of Casa Marina is the garden of lemon trees (in the area a piece of land where citrus trees are grown is called "garden"). You will reach the garden, as well as an adjacent terrace, going up of one floor through an external stair. Here you will discover the magic of the Amalfi Coast: you go up of just 5 meters and find yourself in a corner of paradise. You will have a perfumed lemon growth, like the ones that you see in the postcards, right at your fingertips. There are also orange trees and tangerine trees, a grapevine that gives shade to a small family vegetable garden, a rustic terrace decorated by flower, and, of course, the spectacular show of the steep coast that dives into the sea. The owner of Casa Marina takes care of this garden personally. She is a nice lady that won't miss the chance of offering you a basket of her lemons upon your arrival. She will be happy to have you in her tiny realm every time you would like to. You will also have available garden furniture to relax in the shade of the grapevine pergola, an external shower, and even a small cooking area to cook or barbecue outdoors. The garden and the outdoor equipment are shared among the guests of Casa Marina and those of two other nearby small apartments. Close by Casa Marina you will find the owners' artistic ceramics workshop. Ceramics is one of the typical crafts of the Amalfi Coast. If you would like to try to make, or even only paint, an object in ceramics with you our own hands, and bring it home as a souvenir, you will be able to do it. The skilled artisans of the workshop will teach you how to do it. Shops and restaurants are at approximately 200 meters (220 yards). The center of Praiano is approximately 1 km (half a mile) from the house. The apartment is equipped with one indoor parking space. The closest beach is the striking beach of Marina di Praia, placed in a small valley dug by the sea, where the emerald waters meet the high rocks of the coast. During the summer there are buses that from Praiano reach the beach every 20 minutes, and that stop very close to Casa Marina. People from Praiano usually go down to the beach using a scalinatella that reaches an ancient watch tower, and from there they take a charming little street that descends to the sea in about 400 meters (440 yards). This street is cut in the rocks, right on the sea. On their way back they usually take the bus. Praiano is placed halfway between Positano and Amalfi. From Praiano you can easily reach the tourist centers on the Amalfi Coast and of the Sorrento Coast, as well as Capri. You won't need a car: the bus stop is just a few meters from the house. Staying at Casa Marina you will be able to enjoy a vacation in a natural environment of a splendid beauty, and you will also have a base camp to visit Pompeii, Paestum, Naples or the Royal Palace of Caserta. You will be able to visit the famous beaches of the Amalfi Coast and the characteristic artisans' shops, as well as attend the many cultural and artistic happenings that take place throughout the year. For those who enjoy the night life there is plenty to do: piano bars, night clubs, disco and restaurants abund. Show tourist attractions and points of interest for this holiday home.
