Villino della Nonna is a graceful apartment that is part of a villa. It sleeps four people. From Villino della Nonna you will enjoy a nice view of the sea and of the island of Capri and of the surrounding countryside. Villino della Nonna is 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a private patio, a shared garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 2 km (1.2 miles) from the center of Massa Lubrense, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find the stop for SITA bus Sant'Agata - Massa Lubrense - Sorrento line at 800 meters (2600 feet) and the closest beach (Spiaggia Marina della Lobra) at 3 km (roughly 1.86 miles). You will reach Villino della Nonna from the parking area without having to climb any steps.
For a succesful stay at Villino della Nonna we recommend having a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, free of charge in a parking space. The parking space is suitable for small car (the size of a Fiat Punto or smaller). Please note that access to Villino della Nonna is along an 800-meter (half-a-mile) unpaved road. We recommend to bring a small car (the size of a Fiat Punto or smaller). Alternatively, you can park larger cars along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).
Villino della nonna is located on the bottom floor of a bigger villa together with a studio apartment with independent access.
At the top floor of the villa where Villino della Nonna is located there is another apartment, which has an independent entrance. In this apartment lives the owner of the property, a nice lady who likes to cherish her guests and is very respectful of their privacy.
Villino della Nonna is reached through a narrow and ancient country road.This road was built centuries ago, when the only transportation was provided by one's own feet and perhaps a mule.
The purpose of the road was to provide a short path among the fruit trees to reach the property. Hard to believe, the road has been left just the way it was, with its characteristic stone wall on the edges, except for the pavement that has been improved to let a very small car go through. While making the access to the property more difficult, this road also has assured that the area stay free of pollution and noise, and the air is fresh and clean like in few other places.
Along this very same road the center of Massa Lubrense can be reached in ten minutes by foot. Because of the small size of the road large cars can only be parked at its beginning, while small cars can be taken to the villa. The sons of the lady who owns the property will be happy to drive you along the country road with their car at any time. They are young and charming boys and they will help you in every possible way.
Villino della Nonna offers a relaxing stay in a quiet and cute country house, amidst the famouse grapevines, olive and lemon trees of the coast of Sorrento.
From Sorrento you can board a ferry to reach Capri and the other islands of the gulf of Naples, as well as to reach Naples, Amalfi and Positano. Positano is only 30 minutes away by bus, along a road that shows breathtaking views at every curve.
The excavations of Pompeii can be reached in approximately one hour by car, or else taking one of the many trains that depart from Sorrento. Also easily reached is Caserta and its famous Royal Palace.
The patio is 60 square meters (645 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic pergola and by perfumed olive and citrus trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs and two sun loungers. From the patio you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the island of Capri and of the surrounding countryside.
The furnishings of the living room are simple and comfortable. The furnishings include a divan that unfolds into a double bed. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, an Italian-style coffee-maker, a toaster and other small appliances. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). The room has two windows with a view of the patio.
