What guests of Villino delle Orchidee saySandy Ferrari, Aberdeen, United Kingdom July 3, 2004 - Villino delle Orchidee was magical. It is spacious and the owners, Senior and Seniora Carlo are very welcoming. Their son Pasquale is also very helpful and speaks excellent English. Of the Amalfi coast line that I saw, only Positano (where this villa is located) offers an authentic Italian experience coupled with a beach at the bottom of stairways which will go somewhere to burning up the 4 course dinners. Waking up to the view from Villino delle Orchidee every morning was nothing short of spectacular. You have an excellent website. Your correspondance prior to my arrival in Italy was very helpful. I'll certainly be looking to use your services again come time for another shot of Positano / Montepertuso / Ravello magic. Beverly Bradley, Cary, NC, United States April 3, 2004 - Villino delle Orchidee is wonderful! The view is fabulous, the landlord very helpful, the kitchen large, and you are staying in a building that was built in 900 A.D. Grocery and butcher are just a few steps away, and the apartment is well located and quiet. The landlord at Villino delle Orchidee was GREAT! We ran out of gas (bombola) the first night. I let his mother know and he made the trip over late that evening and changed the tanks out for us so that we could make coffee the next morning! Please let them know how much we appreciated this place. This was a great experience, and my husband's favorite part of our trip! I would definitely use your services again. Thanks for making everything so easy! Edith Freedman, Winchester, MA, United States October 4, 2003 - We had a great stay at Villino delle Orchidee. The night we arrived, there was a national power outage that lasted well into the next day [during the night of September 28th a nation-wide black-out left Italy with no electricity for part of the following day]. It rained that day, and because of the great big windows and the gas stove, we were able to sit and read all day and cook our own dinner. Aside from the power outage, we had no problems with the plumbing or the electricity for the rest of the week. The Villino is extremely clean and very comfortable. The little garden is indeed tiny--it's more like a little seating area than a garden per se, though it's surrounded by all sorts of vegetables and a couple of lemon trees. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the photos, and the garden is a bit smaller. It was plenty of room for two adults. The location is excellent -- you can easily walk down to the beach or up to catch the bus to Sorrento and Amalfi. And the view from the big windows and "garden" is gorgeous. The landlord was fine, stopped by a few times (they live upstairs) to ask if it was alright if his wife swept the garden area and watered the plants. The elder owner speaks no English, but his son, Primo, does, and he was very helpful when we arrived. Thanks. I'd definitely use your services again. It was all very easy and hassle-free.
