Excellent

July 2008 - House needs a general face lift, especially the kitchen. Cupboards and drawers smell like mold and mildew. Laundry room needs to be cleaned out. Also, there were clothes hanging in one of the upstairs bedrooms.

It would have been nice to have a working phone and television. Most of our time was spent outdoors.

The view, location and pool are excellent, as well as the terrace.

July 2008 - Stunning location, excellent access along the shorefront to the quirky town of Massa Lubrense.

The outside areas are gorgeous and 100% sell the property. The interior is dated and various fixtures (such as our bath on the 1st floor level and the kitchen lighting) need repairs. Don't expect too much from the kitchen facilities which lead off the main terrace and which automatically become the hub of the house, lighting is especially poor here. Focus on the pool and, if it takes your fancy, bring a volleyball!

You will need a car.

If no one in your group speaks Italian, bring a phrasebook to liaise with the helpful cleaners as their English is basic. Be sure to ask the route to the beach at the start or you may have difficulties getting down to it.

If you're going in spring/summer and enjoy the outdoors, Villa Zefiro is a stunning base for lazy days around a huge swimming pool.

October 2006 - It was absolutely beautiful and the caretakers, Raffaele and Maria were so welcoming and sweet. They also put on an excellent dinner. We felt very special there and the view is breathtaking.

You really don't need to go anywhere but the villa. The only suggestion would be that there was more toilet paper and towels for the bathrooms.

The elevator makes it so easy to get from one floor to the next. The pool is also pretty cold, beautiful to look at but I didn't get in.

The rafts are great. We felt like movie stars.

The view is really so spectacular.

We also loved all the grape vines hanging everywhere.

October 2006 - Six couples had the vacation of a lifetime.

The local caretaker Raphael and his wife Marie were there for us everyday and made us feel very comfortable...

Getting rental cars from Maggiore was worth every penny. To go to Positano was worth the drive.

Can't wait to use SummerinItaly again.

September 2006 - It was really nice to spend a week at Villa Zefiro.

The location was superb and the villa was really something special.

Don't forget to bring a map and the phone number for the warden of the house so he can meet you at the gate.

September 2006 - Villa Zefiro was excellent. None of us wanted to leave. We had a great time and fell in love with the Italian people.

Our favorite place within the villa had to be the pool, terrace and kitchen areas.

Mr. Raffaele and his wife Maria [the caretakers] were a joy to be around. They both were charming and provided excellent service. A true asset to Villa Zefiro. During our stay they prepared two meals for us and the food was first class. Sharing Mr. Raffaele's homemade wine was a definite highlight of our trip.

I would also like to commend the Ladolcevita Taxi Charter for a wonderful afternoon cruise. The yacht MAMA and its crew were great host and we all had a great experience during the cruise.

The people at Summer in Italy did a great job. Everything from your web presentation to booking the villa and the communications prior to arrival were as advertised. Keep up the great work. See you in the future. Ciao

July 2006 - The location is fabulous. We had a wonderful, unforgettable time which will live in our minds for years. The only drawback is the necessity for transportation up and down. We did not have cars; we used the local taxi service, or walked into Massa Lubrense, which is a stiff climb. Renters just need to be clear about that. The pool and terrace are both tremendous assets. 3 of the bedrooms are terrific, 3 are less so. The beds in one of them are very soft and saggy.

We could not speak too highly about Raffaele and Maria [the caretakers], who looked after us really well. They worked incredibly hard, going well beyond what we had expected of them. They were absolutely charming -- great Ambassadors!

I found Summer in Italy by web searching. We booked because I could not find any other seven bedroom villas! That said, your service throughout has been outstanding. Everyone I was in contact with was very prompt in responding to queries, helpful and encouraging. I would not hesitate to use your services again, or recommend to friends.

July 2006 - We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Zefiro. The views of the sea are to die for. The pool and outdoor areas are incredible.

The villa is in good condition given its age with the kitchen being very functional although admittedly the most outdated space in the house. The bedrooms and sitting rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the air conditioning in the bedrooms is a nice bonus.

The caretakers Raphael and Maria are very helpful and caring, and we utilized their services as chefs to prepare and serve the evening meal each night, which was a great decision as every meal was excellent!

Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation for our group of 14 people.

You should advertise the services of Raphael and Maria as cooks for Villa Zefiro as I don't remember this being emphasized on your site; they were great cooks and it was a real highlight of the trip. Your services were very helpful and timely and responsive and I was very pleased overall with our vacation experience.

June 2006 - Villa Zefiro was wonderful! The views were captivating and we truly enjoyed our stay.

It was a piece of paradise, and each day brought a different skyline, from the cruise ships to the snorkelers, every day was an adventure.

Would we return again? You betcha!

May 2006 - Our group had a wonderful time at Villa Zefiro. The caretakers, Raffaele and Maria were so very nice, helpful, they made the visit for us extra special. They are two of the most pleasant people we have encountered.

The house itself, for 37 years old was in pretty good shape. There were lots of utensils and dishes available, which was nice and a supermarket only 5 minutes away. The town nearby also had a variety of shops for fresh produce and fish.

Again, it was a very enjoyable week.
