October 2009 - Vanessa C is a lovely villa in a good location with fantastic views. The owners were very friendly and provided an excellent chef service which we availed of for one of the nights of our stay. The only negative comments I would make is that there was some noise intrusion from the villa upstairs and the quality of the bed linen and beds did not live up to the quality of the rest of the villa.

July 2009 - We enjoyed Villa Vanessa C. The view was magnifico and caretaker was very friendly and helpful.

The kitchen was very small but well equipped. We enjoyed the terrace and it was very peaceful and close to either Sorrento or Positano.

Enjoyed the marina below and various restaurants in Massa Lubrense. Thanks for a lovely vacation.

June 2008 - Everything was very good, we were very glad to spend there two week. The villa was very comfortable. The owner was very kind. Strongly recommend to be there only with car.

Beach that is down the hill was not very comfortable. Nearest beach Marina di Puolo was excellent. Prefer to go there again. Have fun!

May 2008 - My daughter and I loved Villa Vanessa C! It was our oasis after a long day of sightseeing and crowds of people.

Lorenzo [the owner] and family were wonderful and went out of their way to help us as we did not have a vehicle.

Summer In Italy website was informative and the villa was exactly as pictured on the website. The staff always responded quickly to our email inquiries. We have recommended Summer In Italy to our friends.

May 2008 - As two adult couples, we thoroughly enjoyed our week stay (4/26/08 - 5/03/08) at Villa Vanessa C.

Every day was an adventure exploring the area, every evening was a pleasure sipping wine on the terrace!

The villa was immaculate and nicely appointed. The owner is very gracious and friendly. Our weather was picture perfect with many splendid sunsets.

We couldn't have wished for anything better!

Summer in Italy handled everything perfectly. The villa was exactly as pictured on the website and the description was accurate.

October 2007 - Villa Vanessa C is a lovely villa with a fabulous view over the Bay of Naples.

All the furnishings were of a high standard and the villa was immaculate.

October 2006 - The villa was absolutely GREAT!!!!! Lorenzo [the owner] was a gracious host & assisted us in every way he could. The villa was superb in every way.

It was centrally located to travel by bus or car. The town of Massa Lubrense was one of the highlights of the trip, the grocery & butcher shop's food was only surpassed by the people there.

Within 200 yards of the villa road is the restaurant & hotel "Riccardo Franchinello" which the restaurant was one of the best places we ate in all of Italy. The staff & prices were unbelievably inexpensive.

Your description of the villa & area were a pleasant "right on". I only have praise for the villa & your service. We definitely will be back & use your wonderful service.

September 2006 - Villa Vanessa C was even more beautiful in person than it was on the website.

We rented it along with Vanessa B and had our whole family together for a week. There was plenty of space, incredible sunsets, and an easy walk down to the sea for a swim.

We could not get the outdoor grill to light but otherwise had everything we needed.

The couple who own the place are extremely nice, and she has great taste as far as decorating, linens, etc.

September 2006 - We absolutely loved Villa Vanessa C. When we came down those steps leading to our front door we were speechless at the beauty of the view. We enjoyed incredible sunsets from our terrace. We enjoyed sleeping with our doors wide open listening to the surf. The walk up to the main road was ambitious, but we loved every minute of it. We loved Lorenzo, he was a sweetie and happy to help us.

We would love to come back to Villa Vanessa C!

The glass doors in the bathrooms was a little weird, though. :)

The public transportation works great. You just grab the Sita bus at the top of the hill on the main road. But you must purchase your tickets ahead of time. Places in Massa Lubrense sell them.

Go down to Marina della Lobra and visit Angelo's Snack Bar. Angelo and his family are sweethearts.

Sit and people watch and eat pizza and drink beer and cappuccino at Bar di Sarno in Massa Lubrense. Take day trips to Capri, Positano and Sorrento. Eat at Fauno Bar in Sorrento. We were glad to have seen Pompeii, but wouldn't need to go again.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Summer In Italy. You were wonderful to work with. You respond quickly and in a very friendly manner. We would definitely be your clients again in the future. We do hope to return to Italy again and would even enjoy Vanessa again at some time.

We liked your website and the properties you represent are all beautiful. And the pictures you show online are very accurate. We were pleased to find Villa Vanessa C exactly as pictured on the internet.

September 2006 - Absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The house was perfect and a wonderful location just to unwind and forget about the working week. We were comfortable and had everything we could have wanted.

The view was spectacular look across the bay towards Capri.

Beautifully furnished and well looked after. A very friendly owner who was only too willing to help where he could. He was very approachable and most kind to us.

Would most certainly recommend and most certainly use the Villa again. Great value for money.

July 2006 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Vanessa.

The place was great, the view spectacular -- we were glad we chose the villa instead of a hotel in a busier place. The only challenge was getting to town - uphill walk-but we found a back way which helped, since we did not want to drive.

The owners were very kind in leaving a bouquet of flowers in the dining room.

The cook the owner knew was excellent and we enjoyed the two meals we hired her to cook at the Villa.

Summer in Italy was very good to work with and the service provided was excellent. I found it quite accidentally online in searching for places to stay in Italy. The directions for renting were user friendly and other information provided was very helpful. The emails were always answered in a timely manner. One comment about the beach - it states in the property description easy access - well... going down the steep road and the 50 steps to the beach area wasn't too bad, however, coming up..... whew! very hot and steep!! This would be difficult for elderly people. Luckily, we are not quite in that category yet!!

May 2006 - We loved everything about the villa and we enjoyed our time there immensely.

The view was magnificent and we spent as much of our time as possible out on the deck just soaking up the surroundings.

We decided not to get a car so the walk up the hill a couple of times a day to Massa Lubrense was a challenge but gave us plenty of exercice. We would have liked to have spent all day everyday out on the deck but there are so many wonderful things to do down there.

When we next travel to Italy there is no doubt we would stay there again.

We can't say enough about Summer In Italy. This is the first time we have booked accommodation over the internet so we were a little hesitant to begin with, however they exceeded our expectations and some. We have been recommending Summer In Italy to our friends and will continue to spread the word around.

May 2006 - Villa Vanessa C is a wonderful apartment and we would highly recommend it - the view from the terrace towards Capri was absolutely stunning and the sunsets over the Bay of Naples were breath-taking.

The apartment is very well located in a quiet area between Sorrento and the local town of Massa Lubrense which has a good selection of shops and restaurants and a lovely harbour area (Marina Lobra) that is within walking distance of Villa Vanessa along the shoreline.

The apartment is in very good condition and was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed including microwave, dish-washer and washing machine.

The apartment sits above a small beach where we swam and where our two sons went crab-hunting among the rocks which they absolutely loved.

The 6 of us travelled further afield by means of a hire car which was great (once we got used to the local driving technique!) and visited the Amalfi Coast (stunning), Pompeii (amazing) and other local attractions.

We did not take the local bus but you would need to be fit to get to the bus stop which was located up a steep road on the main road above the apartment.

Overall the apartment was fantastic and the service we got from Summer In Italy was great - very well organised and very efficient. Also the local caretaker who met us on arrival was very friendly and looked after our every need. We will definately use Summer in Italy again - they are a very good company.

April 2006 - The villa is well kept, very tidy and clean. All the appliances were brand new and the inventory included everything one could imagine.

One bathroom was spacious while the other was found to be a little small. The living room is big and comfortable and include a big dining table and two siting corners.

The terrace is very big and overlooks Capri and Sorento, we took advantage of the nice weather and the dining table on the terrace and had our brunch in ths amazing location.

All in all great place and very good and quiet location. The owner Mr. Lorenzo is very nice and helpfull and although his English is very basic he understood all our needs.

Professional web site and very detailed. Very good service, the contract included every possible detail so we need not ask any question.

This is the third time we spend vacation in Italian villas and your web site and support were found to be the best.

October 2005 - Villa Vanessa C was clean, beautiful, tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The pictures on the web were excellent and everything looked exactly as we expected - the view however was even better!

The two occasions when we met the owner and his wife were very easy and pleasant. They were both kind, lovely and gracious people.

We would certainly revisit this property.

Your website is fantastic. We like to book trips at the last minute and you made this very, very easy for us. Also, the write-up about the property itself was very informative. It was nice to know exactly what to expect from our trip and everything was very thorough. Everything we read and saw on the website was exactly the same when we arrived, if not better. The ONLY thing we were not prepared for was the traffic getting into Sorrento. I would change nothing about your website. Thank you for the ease and convenience.
