October 2010 - A great place for a couple. Just the right size and location and only an eight minute walk to the bus stop and a 10 minute walk to a grocery store which had a large selection of food and wine.

The terrace was very large and was perfect for outdoor dining and we enjoyed the beautiful view day and night.

Our two week stay here was very memorable and I would recommend it to others.

Summer in Italy were a pleasure to deal with. They were very professional and were very prompt in providing any information requested. We would definitely recommend them to others who want to visit Italy.

Travel tips

  • For those who enjoy hiking, you must do the "Path of the Gods". A book called The Amalfi Coast by Julian Tippet is a must. It is detailed and shows the various trails.

November 2009 - La Barchina was very well presented, clean, tidy, well furnished and very welcoming.

The location at Praiano was perfect - close enough to major centres but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing.

My new wife and I found La Barchina and Praiano to be the perfect place to start our married life - the large balcony is superb!

I cannot fault the very prompt and efficient service I received from Luca and Summer in Italy.

Travel tips

  • The local bus service to Positano and other nearby towns is an excellent and low cost way to explore the coastline.
  • The little 'supermarket' just down the road from La Barchina has everything you need to cook up a storm in La Barchina's cute kitchen.

Unfortunately, Villa La Barchina can not be booked at this time.
