October 2014 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Geraldina!
The view is spectacular and the villa was perfect and met all our needs. It was very well maintained and clean.
Pina, the owner, was very accommodating and provided some helpful information regarding where to buy groceries, etc.
We would certainly consider this villa again in the future (we now know about all the stairs!).
Everything was handled very professionally by Summer In Italy staff. We would consider using Summer In Italy for future trips. Grazie Millie!
Travel tips
- We loved the little village of Praiano. Great central location on the coast.
- The entire Amalfi Coast is a lovely region to visit. Just be prepared to walk a lot and climb many, many, many stairs. Unfortunately, it is not a good place for people with disabilities.
- Day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Isle of Capri and of course Positano.
- Angela and Salvatore, the owners of the shop where we purchased our day-to-day groceries in Praiano, were amazing friends. They were extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting good restaurants (Hosteria Il Pino, Restaurant Open Gate, Restaurant La Strada, Restaurant La Brace all very good restaurants). They also assisted us with useful information about sightseeing buses, etc.

October 2013 - Absolutely loved our stay at Villa Geraldina. Very comfortable and the views are spectacular. Just be prepared for walking. It's further to town than we expected. But all the walking helped offset all the pasta, pizza, and wine we consumed!!
Very easy to work with you. I would use your company again for future travel on Italy.
Travel tips
- I thought Praiano was a fabulous place to stay. It's quieter and less touristy than Positano and Amalfi but easy to explore both of those areas.
- The bus stops right at the top of the driveway.
- Our favorite places were Ravello, hiking pathway of the Gods, lunch at the marina and the best... cooking class at Il Ritrovo in Montepertuso.

September 2013 - My wife and I stayed at Villa Geraldina 7 Sept through 13 September 2013. The villa is as advertised with great views looking out to sea.
There is a switchback ramp, 3 runs, that leads from the road down to the villa that will help you get your daily exercise but is not too bad.
The outdoor terrace was perfect for breakfast and wine in the evenings.
Travel tips
- Don't bring a car unless you expect to drive outside of the general area. The bus system will get you up and down the coast easily and you will not have to look for parking.
- The SITA bus (blue) runs by the top of ramp from villa every half hour. This bus runs from Amalfi to Praiano to Positano and beyond. Easy to transfer to other buses for other sites. The local orange bus also runs a continuous loop from Praiano to Positano although not as frequent. Fares are around €1.50.
- Easy to walk, 15 minutes, up to Vettica Maggiore, direction of Positano, for morning cappuccino and cornetto. Small grocery on the way that will deliver to villa.
- Restaurant La Strada will pick you up and drop you off for dinner. Good menu, service and great view at sunset towards Positano.

June 2013 - Villa Geraldina was great - we'd have no hesitation booking again or recommending to others.
Travel tips
- We found that a car wasn't necessary - you can walk everywhere yo need to go and buses were great for going further afield.

April 2013 - Fantastic location and place. Steps were a bit of an inconvenience with a small child however this was only to be expected in this location. Very comfortable and ideal for a week away in the warm April weather
Summer In Italy offered a great service especially as we booked only one day in advance!
Travel tips
- Use the local buses when the thought of driving those hairpin bends gets too much!
- We enjoyed our own water taxi back from Positano to Praiano and had great views of the cliffs.
- Restaurant La Strada was the best we found in the village!

July 2012 - Great view and good location. The house was clean and the size was perfect for us (5 persons).
Great to have wi-fi.
From previous experience we knew that everything was working very well. The quality and quantity of the information Summer in Italy provides is excellent. If we decide to spend our holiday in Italy again in 2013, we will definitely use your services.

May 2011 - We loved every minute of our stay and would go back in a heart beat. Just wish we had more time to stay longer.
Summer in Italy supplied us with all the info we needed.
Travel tips
- Finding the grocery store was not easy. It is up the hill but can only be reached by a one way street in town. They had a good selection of food and wine.

October 2010 - We loved our stay in the villa.
The location was perfect, although it is not for the very out of shape visitor. The stairs and driveway were a challenge at times when we had to make two or three trips up to the road in one day. But it was well worth the work!
I was very impressed with the many e-mails and updates I received. Thank you for all the help.
Travel tips
- There is a wonderful little restaurant near the villa with wonderful food. They also offer a tour to Pompeii and Vesuvius.
- Of course you must visit Positano and Amalfi and take the bus up to Ravello. Well worth the extra time.

January 2010 - It is a nice little house with a wonderful view of the ocean which is just below in all its depth and beauty.
We were three adults and two children, 8 and 3 and it was fine for us. We went in winter and the weather was fine. Not very cold, we could even have lunch outdoors.
It is a good choice for the price which is moderate. The administrators are nice and they are available when needed.
Travel tips
- Try to make sure you take the right highway exit. We were lost the first day.

September 2009 - We loved the peace and quiet of Villa Geraldina. It was centrally located for sightseeing on the Amalfi Coast. It also had a beautiful view. The swimming hole however was not very usable.
The reliability of service has been excellent. When booking from overseas it is always a concern that everything will be in place when you get there, but we were not let down by either Summer in Italy or the owner. Thank you for making our holiday run smoothly. We would definitely use your company again.
Travel tips
- The alimentari close by delivers groceries and they are lovely.
- We tried a few of the local resturants and had some beautiful experiences with the local people.

September 2009 - This is our second stay at Villa Geraldina and we wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Amalfi Coast.
It is perfectly situated for easy traveling to neighboring towns. It is very well equipped and the views are tremendous!!
We have very good experiences with Summer in Italy and would not hesitate to use again or refer to others.
Travel tips
- La Brace Pizzeria, Da Armandino are good restaurants.
- Day trips to Vietri for ceramics, Minori and Maiori.

September 2007 - Our week at Villa Geraldina was the highlight of our month-long trip to Italy.
It is perfectly located on the coast with tremendous views. It is also within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, etc. Also very easy to visit neighboring villages, etc.
There were many days that we found it hard to leave the villa to do sightseeing because it was so perfect.
We are very pleased with the booking process - it is very thorough and guests are given very useful information before check-in.
Travel tips
- Be sure to visit Ravello and small town of Minori (Restaurant La Botte). You can't beat any of the restaurants at the marina in Praiano either.
