August 2009 - We enjoyed the Villa, and will recommend it to our friends. The efficiency of the booking, and the timeliness of the emails of information were much appreciated. That said, it is good that the post-booking information warned us about the ants. We could hardly put down a coffee cup without a river of ants forming. Knowing about them in advance made it easier to cope with them!

Glad to be able to assist! Ants are very common in cliff-side areas when the weather is very hot, like in August. The tips we give are time-tested and effectively help get rid of them!

June 2008 - A nice place to use as a base for the Amalfi coast. The apartment is well equipped and offers a good level of equipment. The terrace is lovely and the swimming pool offers fantastic views over the bay of Positano.

This accommodation is perfectly adequate for a week or two weeks accommodation. You don't need to bring towels, hairdryer, pots or the like.

This is NOT a holiday complex, so be aware that there will be the usual goings on of a living environment. Some minor building work was taking place in the apartment above ours and whilst this did not detract from our stay, people need to be aware that this sort of thing can happen.

Travel tips

  • Read the literature that Summer in Italy send you! It makes you fully aware that there are differences between our countries and these should be appreciated rather than questioned!! As advised by Summer in Italy the water can be temperamental (at times VERY hot, so small children be careful), but that is one of the differences that make international travel fun.
  • You need to be fit if you intend to go to Positano, as it is many steps down to the town, but it's worth it and saves the need to take running gear!
  • The local restaurant across the road is lovely, with great views of the bay and attentive staff.
  • The local shop is well stocked with cheese, meats and bread, with a green grocer across the road that should allow you to get all you need for self catering.

September 2007 - Beautiful view and very nice and extremely clean apartment.

Quite basic but has everything needed for our stay.

Over 30 mins walk into Positano so location may not be ideal for people wanting to be in the centre of the town.

Beautiful pool within the apartment complex also.

Summer In Italy were very helpful with providing information on various apartments and were very prompt with booking etc. Highly recommend them and would use again if ever heading back to Italy.

Travel tips

  • Quite a few steps to the apartment and down to the pool.
  • Lovely restaurant Da Costantino across the road. Had excellent meals here.
  • To get into town there is a bus service into town at the top of Positano (about 10 mins walk from apt).
  • A taxi from the centre of Positano is about 15 EUR to the apartment.
  • Trips to Capri and other tours can be taken from Positano. However we rented a car which was ideal for getting to places along the Amalfi Coast like Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello.

September 2006 - The location was perfect. We were accessible to all of the Amalfi Coast.

It was great to have a parking space. The pool was wonderful with amazing views. The villa itself left much to be desired. The beds in both rooms were very uncomfortable. The kitchen was very small and basic, TV was extremely small.

This is a very basic villa.

August 2006 - We had a lovely time at Villa Fiorella.

It was more than adequate for our needs.

Only slight downside was how far away from the main town it was but the views more than made up for this.

August 2006 - Views were stunning, even if you had to crane your neck over the car park. The views from the swimming pool were breathtaking.

Apartment was dark due to external windows being close to rock face. Kitchen tiny and cramped - very difficult to use for preparations limited work tops. Generally a bit cramped and full of clutter.

The 200 steps from the swimming pool proved to be a bit of a challenge.

June 2006 - The villa was perfect for our needs.

Spacious and comfortable. Amazing views, especially at night.

It was fully equipped and spotlessly clean. The pool was beautiful and the views from the sun beds magnificent.

We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Fiorella.

We found Summer in Italy on the internet. We found the service excellent, very easy to deal with and very smooth booking service.

July 2005 - We has a wonderful time in Positano and Villa Fiorella was perfect for our needs.

We found Summer in Italy through a web search and have recommended the site to many friends since. It's a very easy site to navigate and provides lots of honest information.

June 2004 - We enjoyed our stay at Villa Fiorella. Our initial check in on Saturday was fine, although a bit rushed by the caretaker and his young assistant...no time to demonstrate the washing machine or provide info about the apartment.

We liked the location of the villa... quiet and away from the downtown of Positano, yet very accessible by bus and by car to the town. Plus we enjoyed the fireworks display one evening from our terrace!!

I have passed this website along to several friends because I was impressed with your overall website... very thorough, good photos, prompt responses to email and helpful information about the villas. We were looking for a villa with a view, parking space and suitable beds and with access to Amalfi Coast by either car or bus. All in all it worked out just fine.

September 2003 - Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed ourselves at Villa Fiorella.

Although we found Positano, itself, too touristy, we found many other wonderful things to do. We went up to Montepertuso for lunch one day, drove to Amalfi and Ravello (spectacular), took a boat to Naples to pick up our car and generally had a great time hanging out at the villa.

We made many wonderful meals and ate out on the deck everyday. The weather couldn't have been nicer or the people more friendly.

We went to Caserta and visited the Reggia and to Pompeii and I was absolutely blown away.

Italy continues to be our favorite European destination!

Unfortunately, Villa Fiorella can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
