I would gladly stay again
May 2016 - The owner is a wonderful helpful lady.
Summer In Italy did a good job and I would recommend to others.
Travel tips
- Lots of steps and lots of steps.

Very good
June 2014 - Villa Doremi is very charming and beautiful!
Location is perfect even if quite challenging as the walkway to get there includes many steep stairways. Of course that is not a problem for healthy people.
Travel tips
- Even if you arrive with a car - consider hiring a scooter. It is by far the best way to move around because of the very narrow and curvy streets without parking places.

Excellent
October 2013 - We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Doremi. The villa had plenty of room for 6 people and the outdoor terrace on both the main level and the upper bedroom level were wonderful. The views were spectacular.
The villa had everything we could possibly need, plenty of towels, kitchen appliances and supplies and each bathroom even had hairdryers.
Praiano was a lovely town and the location of Villa Doremi nearby Tutto per Tutti grocery was really convenient. The little lady that lived next door even gave us fresh lemons from her garden as well as fresh basil. Enza [the caretaker] was delightful and easily reached for any questions or concerns we had. She even arranged for a boat to take us to Capri. VIlla Doremi is located pretty high in relation to the main road so expect to get a workout taking the steps up and down. This was a little daunting at first, especially when we arrived with our luggage, but it is part of the experience of the Amalfi coast and it does mean the views are outstanding.
Working with Summer in Italy was great. They were very responsive to any questions and very helpful in the reservation process. I would highly recommend Summer in Italy for vacation planning.
Travel tips
- Be prepared for steps! If you have any mobility problems this might not be the place for you.
- Since we were there at the end of September/early October the buses seemed to run less frequently than they probably run in the summer. This meant that we did spend a lot of time waiting at the bus stops and dealing with very full buses getting from Positano and Amalfi back to Praiano. A few times we gave up and took taxis.
- As for places to eat we loved restaurant Il Pirata in Praiano.
- Amalfi was delightful, be sure to see the paper museum. The tour buses seem to clear out at 5 pm and it is less crowded but make sure you know when the last buses run!!
- Absolutely make the trip up to Ravello to see Villa Cimbrone, we had a spectacular lunch at the hotel with amazing views. Also make sure you have an umbrella because when it rains it pours!

Very good
June 2013 - We enjoyed our stay at Villa Doremi very much.
Everyone we dealt with thru email was amazing and very helpful... Grazie and will definitely recommend Summerinitaly to our friends!
Travel tips
- The beach in Praiano was very nice but you definitely should visit the fjord in Furore: it's spectacular.
- A little bit of advice: pack light the stairs are steep and when you have heavy luggage it could be very difficult.

Excellent
June 2013 - Truly, the most beautiful home I've ever encountered. As an architect, my standards are quite high but Villa Doremi exceeded all my expectations. The pictures, although gorgeous, don't begin the capture the true quality of the space and its stunning views. This home is simply breathtaking.
The owners were incredibly helpful, friendly, and spoke impeccable English (which we don't expect but were grateful for, nevertheless). Also, the proximity to the lovely and well stocked market, Tutto per Tutti, made our vacation so easy and delicious!
The service was friendly, personal, and efficient. I appreciate the thorough introduction the the property and Italian homes (the PDF sent prior to our arrival). I was quite pleased with Alfano's accessibility and professionalism.
Travel tips
- Visit Tutto per Tutti, the Praiano Tower (Torre), the ceramics shop, and the marvelous restaurant Il Pirata on the beach.
Unfortunately, Villa Doremi can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
