September 2008 - This is truly a unique place, the ocean access is one the features that drew us to it.

Working with Summer In Italy is always a pleasure, Luca is very friendly and professional. They are always there to help where ever they can!

Travel tips

  • The restaurant Il Pirata located in the fishing village Marina di Praia was wonderful, we ate there many times. It is walking distance, although not for the faint of heart, and the marina has water taxi service to and from the local towns like Amalfi, we called them from Amalfi one day and they picked us up at the public docks and took us straight to the villa's landing!

September 2007 - This was an amazing place to stay with an incredible view.

The villa has a large covered patio area to enjoy the unobstructed views of the sea - made for a great place to enjoy a glass of wine!

While there are 135 steps down the sea platform, I was impressed with the quality of construction, and frequent swims added another dimension to an enjoyable stay.

And we'll always have special memories of the last night when a boat picked us up at the villa sea platform for dinner at La Gavitella, and then enjoyed spectacular sunset views of Positano!

The Summer In Italy folks did a nice job in handling the reservation, with good communication and timely responses to our questions.

Travel tips

  • The trade off for the beautiful view is that transportation is necessary. While I considered a car rental, our party of 6 adults relied the whole week on the services of Benvenuto Limo, a family owned business right in Praiano. Whether it was a for a full day excursion, or nightly taxi service to a restaurant for dinner, this proved to be an excellent choice - no pressure driving the narrow roads or finding parking spaces!!

May 2007 - We thoroughly enjoyed the Villa.

The view was spectacular. Our party of 6 enjoyed many nights sitting out on the terrace taking in the view.

Travel tips

  • Transportation by water taxi is the way to go but only if the weather is fine and the sea is calm. Praiano is only a short water taxi ride away and the restaurant there is worth a visit. Free water taxi to and from. I would suggest that if you arrive by car, leave your car and travel by water as the roads are very narrow.
