Excellent
August 2014 - Casa Elia is comfortable, situated in a very nice historic building and close to everything. The studio is elegantly decorated and furnished.
The beach is a few minutes away, the lungomare starts just in front of the studio's balcony, which gives a good view of the surroundings.
Casa Elia is one of the places you want to go back to.
I enjoyed the efficiency of the service offered by Summer In Italy.
Travel tips
- The village of Minori is picturesque and peaceful.
- The studio is a very good option for those who prefer to have everything at hand and are ready to disregard the traffic noise of the street in front of the house.

July 2008 - I really enjoyed staying at Casa Elia. The place is cozy. It's a 30 second walk from the beach. It has everything you need. The kitchen is sufficient. There's a stereo and two tv's and dvd. The bathroom's is nice (no tub). There's a grocery store right across the street.
It's not for people who are particular about where they stay though. We're young so it wasn't an issue really. It's right on the Amalfi coast main road, so the apartment is loud with traffic most of the time. But it really isn't too much of a bother. We got used to it. The apartment is dank and has a bit of a musty smell. But again it was bearable and only really noticeable when we would first enter. The mattress on the bed isn't that great. My back was sore by the end of the week. It's clean.
I would recommend it.
Travel tips
- We cooked a lot. The groceries are cheap and amazing. The bread, cheese, fresh pasta, vegetables, fruit, pastries! So we ate really well for cheap.
- You can buy bus tickets at the tobacco store up the street. Take a bus to the other towns. It's quick and easy and the drive is exciting.
- Ravello was a favorite of mine to visit.
- If you are able, take a walk along the paths that link the towns. Explore them. They branch off in different directions. The path between Minori and Ravello is nice. I would suggest taking the bus up to Ravello and walking down to Minori though because it's quite a trek.
- The boat to Capri is definitely worth it for a day trip. It leaves from the Minori dock in the morning.

It is very spacious and incredibly functional.
A wonderful place to stay for a relaxing beach vacation, and the locals are quite friendly.
