Very good
August 2013 - A really lovely location with a fantastic view overlooking Castiglione beach. The whole flat was really well furnished and made our stay a really good one.
You were perfect! Thanks for such detailed information and thanks for being on hand on the phone when we arrived as we really needed your help and you were fantastic!
Travel tips
- The little Tabacchi at the bottom of the main road sells loads of supplies and was well priced.
- If you need some advice on the local areas, ask Carmen the caretaker who will meet you on the first night. She is fantastic! Her English is OK, but her French is better. A really helpful and lovely lady.
- Amalfi is a walk away and you need to be prepared to walk down/up a lot of steps! We found the tunnel that goes through the hill from Atrani to Amalfi on the second day and this was fantastic! It really cut down on travel times.
- If you are just looking for a beach, we thought the best beach was actually Castiglione! It was only a five/ten minute walk from the apartment, had great sunbeds and a little cafe. A really good choice and prevents you having to do the long walk into Amalfi.
- Personally, if we went again, we would not take a car. It was more hassle than it was worth and the driving was a little treacherous!
- Feel free to call Summer in Italy if you get stuck or need help. They were amazing and spoke such good English... it made everything so easy.

Fantastic
July 2013 - Nothing but a wonderful place in a wonderful part ot the Amalfi coast. We spent a week in July 2013 enjoying the superb location perched somewhere between Atrani and Ravello.
This is a place we highly recommend to people who like to relax and enjoy the view, read books and share a bottle of wine (like us!) There is a big pine overlooking the terrace, so there is always a shady spot when you sit on the beautiful terrace.
More sportive people might want to climb the stairs to Ravello or go down to Atrani, close to Amalfi.
The lady who met us and gave us the keys, Carmen, and her husband were very kind and available, yet not intrusive. She speaks a little French.
Once again we were not deceived by Summer in Italy. You encouraged us to rent Casa Cedro when we asked you why there were no or few reviews. It happened to be one of the best places we ever rented!
Travel tips
- Keep in mind you are in the suburbs of Amalfi, so you will have to take the bus to go downtown or to go to Ravello, unless you want to climb hundreds of steps.
- There is a small convenience store down the hill (elevator available!) but definitely more choice in Ravello or Amalfi.
- Good location if you want to see a concert in Ravello, but do not miss the last bus, unless you want to walk down the stairs the dark.

Fantastic
June 2013 - We enjoyed our stay very much. It is located a walkable distance from Atrani and Amalfi, but is in a quiet place. Ravello and several other hikes are accessible right from Casa Cedro as well.
The caretaker is very nice and helpful, she even gave us fresh towels after 3 days, the kitchen is well equipped, the living room comfortable, the bathroom spotless and the terrace has an amazing view. The only minus would be the bed, which is a bit squeaky. Air conditioning (also inverters, usable as heat) is available in bedroom and living room.
All in all very recommendable. If we want to go to the Amalfi coast again, we would definitely stay there again.
Travel tips
- A car is not really needed, but there is a garage.
Unfortunately, Casa Cedro can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
