Casa Picea A is a graceful two-story apartment that is part of an ancient country house located on top of a small hill. It sleeps six people. From Casa Picea A you will have a pleasant view of the surrounding countryside. Casa Picea A is 100 square meters (1076 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a shared garden, a reserved outdoor area, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 3.5 km (2.2 miles) from Castelfiorentino, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation.
Casa Picea A is located on the ground floor. You will reach it from the parking area along a walkway that cuts through the garden.
To stay at Casa Picea A you will need a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, in a reserved parking space.
The apartments of Casa Picea are found in an old farmhouse that was originally a hay barn dating back to about 1800. The large house, which was restored in 2005, is divided into 4 apartments, each with its own independent entrance.
The farmhouse sits on the ridge of a hill at about 200 meters above sea level, and is surrounded by a spacious garden of about 2500 square meters, along with a large olive grove. Here, you'll be in a tranquil and sunny spot that offers fabulous views of the picturesque Tuscan countryside and Florentine hills.
The swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 12 meters (39 feet) long, 1.2 meters (4 feet) deep. It is an infinity pool. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a fascinating view of the Chianti hills and of the vineyards. You will share the pool with the other guests staying at the complex. The swimming pool is open from the end of April until mid-October.
The garden is 2000 square meters (21500 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a pergola with a bamboo roof. It is equipped with a table and chairs. In the garden you will find a children's playground. Here you will also find a portable barbecue. From the garden you will enjoy a splendid view of the Chianti hills. You will share the garden with the other guests staying at the complex.
The living room is paved with terracotta tiles. The furnishings are rural and characteristic of the Tuscan house. The furnishings include a divan that unfolds into a double bed. There is a nice fireplace made of bricks. In the living room you will find a washing machine (hidden in a cabinet). In this room you will find a flat-screen satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the garden through a French door.
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room going down three steps. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker and a kettle. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the garden. The kitchen is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. The furnishings are elegant and welcoming. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a Juliet balcony with a view of the garden and of the surrounding green fields. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. Here you will also find a safe.
