Casa Desio, Positano

Casa Desio is a characteristic and welcoming independent house situated in a quiet location, a few minutes from the town center. It sleeps four people. From Casa Desio you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the sea and of the small Li Galli islands at a distance. Casa Desio is 80 square meters (860 square feet). It features a wide private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.

You will be in a pedestrian precinct, at a short distance from the center of Positano, where you will find restaurants, shops, public transportation, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the closest restaurant, a grocery store, the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus interno Positano line at 150 meters (490 feet) and the closest beach (Spiaggia Grande di Positano) at 300 meters (approximately 990 feet). You will reach Casa Desio from the street level going down a 150-meters (490-feet) public walkway that cuts through the historic centre of Positano and includes approximately 270 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Casa Desio. If you do have one, you will be able to park it downtown, for a fee, in a private parking lot.

The terrace is 70 square meters (750 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a tall porch. The terrace is equipped with a wickerwork sofa and two armchairs, as well as with tables, chairs and two sun loungers. On the terrace you will find a cooking area. This area is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker. From the terrace you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.

The living room is paved with tiles with handmade decoration, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The furnishings are classic and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include two armchairs. There is a nice fireplace, for decorative purposes only. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is well equipped, with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of Positano through a French door.

You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the second bedroom or from the terrace. The bedroom has a traditional wooden matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include a desk. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of Positano through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a Jacuzzi bathtub.

Important notice: members of your party might need to walk through this bedroom to reach the first bedroom (they can avoid going through this room by entering from the terrace). You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of Positano through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

The bathroom is tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a hydromassage shower. Here you will also find a washing machine. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
