The town's most recently built houses are surrounded by gardens planted with magnolias, palm trees, ficus, hibiscus, roses and jasmine. The coastline has very fine sandy and wide beaches. The boat trips enable people to live the enchantment of uncontaminated nature. The rugged coastline of Marina di Camerota, covered with rich natural vegetation, with its small bays, it caves and small beaches offers very suggestive places: Cala Fortuna, Cala Monte di Luna, le Sirene, Cala del Cefalo, the pinewood of Mingardo, which has been designated as a natural park for its beauty and wealth of environmental items. To visit Camerota today is like diving into a world suspended in time. It is a meeting with an ambient in which nature is everywhere, in the green around the village, in the fresh springs that irrigate the valley and in the beautiful sea.
The harbor of Marina di Camerota, situated in the village, leads Southwest with its pier, towards the sea. It is undoubtedly the most impressive and significant public space in this area, especially since here the economic life of the entire village develops throughout the year. For those who love the night life, at few miles from the town center you will find the famous discoteque “il Ciclope”.
It is at just few metres from the harbor of Marina di Camerota. The diving center, the most important in the Cilento National Park, started in 1993 by the work of professional divers is today a national reference point in the world of scuba diving. Marina di Camerota is a picturesque fishing town and beach resort in the
heart of the Cilento National Park, between Capo Palinuro and Sapri. It nestles
in a curve along a coastline thick with olive trees, between two small
promontories, each dominated by a Saracena tower.
