September 2018 - We stayed in Villino Alfredo A and B in late August. The villas were clean and almost identical. They have a layout similar to a studio apartment, which is disguised with the clever usage of storage. We frequently ate in the villa and the equipment was well stocked for 4 people.

The swimming pool is a short walked down a slope and is also used by the nearby hotel.

We were very impressed with the efficient and polite service and our stay was problem free. We would happily use Summer In Italy again.

Travel tips

  • The location is beautiful and you can view the splendor when visiting Monastero di San Paolo which is a short uphill walk from the accommodation.
  • There are shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and a decent bus service (which I would recommend, as driving can be challenging).
  • We had a hire car and travelled to the obvious sights - Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Naples. However, as previously touched upon, driving can be challenging, as the roads are narrow and winding.
  • We took the bus to Sorrento which was relatively inexpensive and fairly quick - it was far more pleasant than driving yourself! Bus tickets can be bought from the tobacconists in the town and the bus stop was a short distance from there.

Really enjoyed our stay

August 2016 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villino Alfredo A. It is a quiet place in a beautiful surrounding. The house is well equiped with everything you might need. It has a big garden.

Summer In Italy is great! Very helpful and their information is excellent!
