It was so perfect! We will be returning

September 2023 - We did not want to leave this villa it was so perfect! My fiancé and I got engaged here on the first night and it was the perfect romantic setting. The rear garden/patio area is lovely and the view is breathtaking. We will be returning. Thank you!

May 2023 - Hard to put into words how beautiful this place is. One of the coolest views I’ve ever seen can be experienced from your own personal back area.

Margherita, the host, was super friendly and just a warm person all around. She was thorough in explaining the whole place and surrounding area.

Back area has lemons, tomatoes and basil growing that we were allowed to pick. It was cool seeing the tiny lizards running around as well.

If you are older, out of shape or just don’t feel like it, it’s important you hire somebody to get your luggage up to the apartment (there are people all over the place offering the service).

Positano is like a fairy tale land. Probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been and this apartment is a perfect home base to experience it from.

Wonderful Honeymoon Stay!

September 2022 - We loved this location and because Positano is so crazy busy with tourists during September, we spent most of our time relaxing in the backyard during the days. Nighttime calms down in the town but during the day, there was no way we were leaving this comfortable and peaceful spot.

Loved being next to the market - that was such a benefit!!

Thank you!

Felt like Paradise!

June 2022 - Our stay at Villa Sebastiana B was fantastic. The apartment is in a perfect location. 5-10 minute walk down the hill to the beach, shops and restaurants but just far enough out of the business that it was fairly quiet.

The apartment has a large private patio with a garden with fresh herbs, vegetables and lemons. Just outside our the door is a local market where you can buy wine, cheese, coffee or whatever you need. We often found ourselves picking up a bottle of wine and some snacks at the market and relaxing on the patio.

This place was perfect and felt like Paradise. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Positano!

May 2022 - What an awesome place to stay if you want to visit Positano!

Our host, Margherita, met us at the bus stop which is literally opposite the apartment. Her welcome and handover was awesome and she had thought of everything. Even a lovely vase of flowers from her garden. The apartment was perfect for a couple and the balcony and garden area a massive bonus.

A quick walk into the centre took 10 minutes down the stairs or along the road. There is a lovely family supermarket just outside the apartment which has everything you need!

Highly recommend this apartment in Positano!!

May 2019 - This was an excellent experience. Margherita [the caretaker] was a wonderful host and very helpful.

While it doesn't have direct ocean views the terrace is very private. The location is excellent at the top of the stairway with a market right outside our door. It is a great value for the location.

Dealing with Summer in Italy was a wonderful experience and we will definitely use them again when we return to Italy.

Very good

May 2017 - Villa Sebastiana B was very nice. It was spotlessly clean, excellent condition and the terrace and garden were great places to relax and get away from the Positano May Day crowd. The view from the terrace makes up for it. The only downside was some noise from adjacent units early in the morning but this was minor.

The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Good

June 2016 - We stayed 6 days in the amazing Positano and we enjoyed it very much, it is absolutely one of the most beautiful places we have ever been.

Villa Sebastiana B was very spacious and comfortable for the two of us, and the outdoor patio and garden was beautiful. There was your own lemon tree and herbs growing which were available for your use at any time. Supplied in the apartment was all the little handy things like washing powder and all sorts of other grocery items that you don't have to go out and buy for the short period you are there.

Margherita the owner is truly a lovely lovely lady, who met us promptly and showed us around the apartment. She offered us some food and homemade welcome cookies for our arrival. She also had some homemade Limoncello in the fridge for our use as well! It was like being met by family. :)

We found Villa Sebastiana B a little bit far up the hill for us from the beach area, but the view as you walk down to the main beach and shopping area is absolutely gobsmacking! :)

Everything Summer In Italy did was great. You were wonderful to deal with!

Travel tips

  • The grocery store at your front door is run by a gorgeous helpful family and was so handy to have. It was a huge advantage.

September 2015 - It was great to be in Villa Sebastiana B. The perfect location, there is a bus stop in front of the house, both for internal Positano and to go to Sorrento or Amalfi. To go to the beach in Positano instead of walking the stairs there is a ride with wonderful views.

The terrace outside the house is very spacious, great for breakfast, lunch, etc... Positano views are very nice, but you do not see the sea. For us, it was not a problem as all day, anywhere you go, the views are magnificent.

Mrs. Margherita [the caretaker] was very friendly, we arrived late at night and left us well prepared a cold supper of waiting upon arrival. wonderful.

Summer In Italy is a very professional company, gives confidence from the first moment.

Travel tips

  • For the location of Villa Sebastiana B you don't need to rent a car, or bike. The bus service is very good.
  • Another positive thing is that next door is the grocery store with a very wide opening hours.
  • If you want to hire an excursion by sea, for example to Capri, the company Cassiopeia was great, very well and advised us all perfectly organized. It's at the big beach of Positano and has an orange umbrella.

September 2014 - The best thing about Villa Sebastiana is Margherita [the caretaker]. She met us with cakes, fruit and fresh flowers in the villa. The place is beautiful full of sun and the most amazing view. It also has a garden with herbs and lemons and grapes. You can just pick the grapes of the tree for breakfast in the morning.

There is a bus stop right outside the door to take you to Amalfi, Sorrento, around Positano. Beach is very close, just walk down the stairs and on the way back you can take the scenic route or take the stairs if you need the exercise.

We stayed for 2 weeks. So Margherita came after one week and changed all the sheets and the towels , cleaned the villa and left more cakes. She also provided us with free internet.

I can't say enough how lovely this place is. I highly recommend it. We had a bad experience in Rome with another company. The place was a dungeon, so we had to go to a hotel. We were so relieved when we saw how beautiful this place was.

Great service. Thanks summer in Italy. Will definitely use again.

Travel tips

  • You must go to Amalfi, Ravello, Capri and Pompei.
  • The shops are great on the way to the beach.
  • Sita bus is right outside the door to go to Amalfi. It takes 20 minutes.

September 2013 - The best thing about Villa Sebastiana is its location: the stairs down to the beach (10 minutes down, 15 minutes up), the grocery story and bus stop (both local and SITA) are right behind your door.

Besides, it turned out that the higher, the more fresh air, and Villa Sebastiana seems to be a reasonable choice between a quietness with a fresh air and a proximity to the beach and a city center.

If you don't feel like going upstairs you may reach the Villa from the beach by walking along the road, without having to climb any stair; more lengthy, but more eye-catching option.

Although the house is situated just along the road, the room itself is a stair down, so you won't hear any street noise at all.

The grocery has the most friendly staff, great "prosciutto crudo", a cup of espresso in the morning and a wide choice of food. Baby's food is also available, in case you travel with a baby (like we did).

Bedroom was rather stuffy (we didn't want to use an air conditioner because of the baby), but still OK to sleep.

May 2013 - We really enjoyed our time at Villa Sebastiana B! It was great having access to a grocery store right outside our door and that the entrance was at street level. It had easy access to the buses and a nice walk down the stairs into the center of town. We managed to climb the stairs back up the whole week we were there! Great work-out!

Ms. Margherita [the caretaker] was very helpful and full of information for us.

Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working in Villa B so Ms. Margherita allowed us to use the machine in Villa A which wasn't occupied during our stay. So that was very helpful! We had been travelling for 3 weeks prior so we really needed use of the laundry.

Your agency was very easy to deal with. All information you gave was accurate and we would definitely look for accommodation in Italy again using your agency. Thank you!

October 2012 - Villa Sebastiana B is wonderful. Even though it is beside the road, you cannot hear the traffic. There is a bus stop at the door, a grocery shop and a vegetables shop. What convenience in the town of steps! The grocery shop family could not be more friendly or helpful.

The view is stunning. Disneyland for adults!! And like a Christmas tree by night.

You cannot see your villa for a photograph from the other side of Positano due to the tree in the garden but I think this tree must be a great asset for shade in high temperatures.

Living room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom all great.

The garden is a real plus. Sebastiana A (above you) just has a balcony.

We booked with you because we found your response prompt, efficient, professional and friendly. Many thanks for all your help.

Travel tips

  • Everything is supplied including the beach towels - great plus if you are travelling light.
  • Generous touches by the owner made us feel welcome, i.e. tea, coffee, pasta and her homemade fig jam - delicious! Washing machine + powder, dishwasher tabs, all the basics which are not always supplied.
  • Be ready for the steps. Suggest you go down by steps and return by local bus which is very frequent. Your legs will feel terrific when you get used to them though!!
  • Take the day trip cruise to Capri with l'Uomo e il Mare.
  • Go by SITA bus ONCE to Amalfi - it's amazing. Second time go by boat!

September 2012 - The Villa is modern, clean and well laid out. The back yard is sunny and warm with a Persimmon and Lemon trees. The kitchen has a gas range and is great to cook in.

But maybe the best thing about Villa Sebastiana B is the owner Mrs. Margherita. She keeps the villa well stocked with tons of linens and towels and little extras. She even stocked the fridge for us with her own home grown vegetables and delicious home made Lemoncello. She is very warm and welcoming.

Highly recommended.

Great experience. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • Rent a scooter. Swim in the ocean. Read. Relax.
  • Transport to and from the villa is easy as the SITA bus to and from Sorrento stops just outside the door.

September 2012 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sebastiana B. The owner is a very nice lady who speaks good English and was more than willing to bend over backwards to make sure that we had a good stay.

The villa is located on a hillside (as most if not all places in Positano are) and there are lots of stairs to get to the main area but the alternative option is to stroll along the road which takes a bit longer but is a lot less strenuous. There are also buses that run regularly to bring you back up if you don't feel like tackling the stairs or walking.

The villa is air-conditioned and the shower worked wonderfully.

The owner left us some food as a welcome pack (some from her own garden!) and there is a shop right next door, which is very handy indeed.

All in all, a great stay.

July 2012 - Villa Sebastiana B was perfect for our one week stay in Positano. The villa is clean, nice, and in a great location. There is a market right next door making cooking or grabbing a snack very convenient. It is just about a 15 min walk to the beach but many steps back up.

Miss Margherita [the caretaker] was so hospitable and helpful during our stay.

I can't wait to go back in the future!

Travel tips

  • When taking the SITA bus from Sorrento, make sure to get off at the SECOND stop in Positano. We got off at the first and were very far from the villa. [actually, the Liparlati stop, which is the good one, is on request only and between the two main stops. Some drivers do not know where Liparlati stop is, unfortunately. In that case you can get off at the second stop (called Sponda) and walk back towards the house]
  • We would definitely recommend taking the day trip to Capri.
  • If you are looking for a less crowded beach go to Fornillo beach: take the pathway around the hotel Covo Dei Saraceni to the other side. There are cheap lounges and a swim area.

May 2012 - We just stayed in Positano in May 2012 and found the town, the people, and our accommodations to be the best we experienced in Italy. The suite is very comfortable and cute. We especially enjoyed the terrace and garden as it was larger than the pictures look and quite private, with a fantastic view of the town (but not quite the sea).

The owner was lovely and we had no problems finding the place, meeting the owner, and getting settled when we arrived.

The suite is just next to a grocery store, which was very convenient.

I highly recommend this apartment. We were very happy there.

I was a little nervous booking private apartments rather than hotels, but found the process to be very smooth. I would definitely book with this company again and will recommend it to friends. MUCH better than hotels.

Travel tips

  • Positano is built on a steep incline, so if you can't handle stairs, it will be difficult to get around the town.
  • This villa is further up the hill, which makes it easier to catch transportation to other towns, but harder to go down to the beach (it's not a long walk, just a lot of stairs to come back up). There are internal buses, however, and one stops right beside the villa.
  • The suite is also right underneath "Villa Sebastiana A" so if you are travelling with a larger group, renting both suites together would be a great option.

May 2012 - We had a wonderful week in sunny Positano. Villa Sebastiana B is well-equipped, newly renovated and kept fresh and clean, thanks to Mrs. Margherita, the caretaker.

The location is ideal, with the family-run mini-market next door and the bus stop across the street, making travels within Positano and to other coastal villages quick and easy.

Almost all our meals were eaten outside on the terrace, which has the most captivating views of the town.

It was a pleasure to be here.

We have referred our friends to your impressive website.

Travel tips

September 2011 - The villa is really well catered. It had everything we could think of needing. The location and views from the terrace were amazing. The only downside was the bathroom that needs a bit of TLC.

The owner however, was extremely helpful friendly and always available for any questions or advice.

The shop next door is also a big plus as it opened early and closed late - it also made really amazing and cheap (for Positano) sandwiches.

We really enjoyed our stay there and will certainly stay there again if we come back to Positano.

Travel tips

  • The beach is expensive so ask the owner for a beach umbrella and stay in the free part of the beach if you want to save yourself 25 euros per day.

August 2011 - We have just returned from our two week stay in Positano at Villa Sebastiana B. The apartment was wonderful, clean and very comfortable. We loved it and already miss the place.

The garden terrace provided a private retreat to take in the lovely Positano views and sunshine. The pictures do not do it justice.

Its location was excellent and very convenient. Having the alimentari (grocery store) next door was a treat, we found everything we needed there (the cheeses from Agerola are the best I have ever tasted). In addition, the bus stop across the street made travels within Positano and the Amalfi coast a breeze.

The owner, Margherita was very helpful and wonderful to deal with. We are looking forward to our return visit!

May 2011 - Excellent location, right next to the bus stop and the alimentari.

The walk down to the beach is interesting and presents you with always changing views of the city and the mountains and the sea. There's a bus for people who can't handle the stairs, but really, it's good for you to walk both ways.

The view from the kitchen window is spectacular and the view from the garden is even better.

June 2010 - Villa Sebastiana B was exactly as we hoped it would be.

Margherita [the caretaker] went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed, and it was a joy to meet her.

The alimentari right next door was so convenient for those occasions when we felt like a "snack at home".

We thoroughly enjoyed the walk down to the promenade every morning, but must admit that the bus back to the top, (with the stop right at the door) was our preferred option for the return journey. I have never seen so many steps.

I truly hope that I will have the opportunity to visit Italy again, and my first enquiry will be to "Summer In Italy". Thank you for helping to make our holiday so very memorable and special. June 2009 - Just returned from our week in Positano and a wonderful week it was spent at Villa Sebastiana B.

The photos of villa do not give it justice - it is beautiful and since my understanding is the it was just recently converted from a single home into two villas - everything in it is brand spanking new. The kitchen cabinets, sink, washing machine, bathroom and the wonderful high-tech shower (we actually miss that since we have returned home) - everything brand new and decorated beautifully. The furniture, linens just everything was new and perfect - could not ask for more.

The unit is not extremely large - but is laid out perfectly and certainly suited all our needs for two!

It was very quiet even though it is on the main road which is highly convenient for taking both local buses and SITA buses to numerous towns along the coast which is what we did - although Positano was my favorite don't miss Amalfi, Ravello, Capri and Praiano.

There is an Alimentari (grocery) right next door to the apartment and the owner and her daughter are the sweetest people! They were forever providing samples of cheese, meats and breads and of course I needed to purchase some for late snacks in the afternoon before heading out for dinner.

Another plus it that there are no steps to enter the unit - we did take steps down the old path to get to town center and would take the local bus back from Piazza Mulini - but the villa is very close to town center.

We enjoyed the garden immensely and would enjoy a late afternoon break and return home in the evening for glasses of wine - gazing at the stars on padded lounge chairs and the homes on the cliffs above us drinking fine red wine.

The view is unbelievable and I try and recall it at least once a day since I have returned!

You were wonderful to work with - we had no issues so no need to contact you but that is a good thing! Thanks so much for finding us the perfect place - will certainly be using your services in the future and recommending to all of our friends and relatives.

We loved every inch of the villa and Positano and we plan to return - would love to bring my family and grandchildren along - maybe I can rent both Sebastiana A and B together.

Last but not least - Margherita, the owner of the villa, was one of the sweetest people I have ever met - she provided numbers to contact her if we needed anything at all! I would encourage anyone to take advantage of this villa and I am sure you will love it as much as we did! Ciao!

Travel tips

  • The Amalfi Coast and Positano are absolutely breathtaking. One of our favorite jaunts was to the town of Montepertuso - high in the clouds above Positano - where we had the best meal of our trip at a restaurant there (I only wish I could recall the name - it is written up in all the guides and if you call them for reservations they will come pick you up in Positano - when I find the card I will post another note on this site - because the waiter was the most gracious!)
