May 2010 - One of the best holidays we have ever had - and we've had quite a few. A huge added bonus is that Catello and Rosa [the owners] will provide breakfast, lunch and/or dinner if you wish, and let them know in good time. Italian cooking is Rosa's passion and she is superb.

It is unusual to have both quite a large (and superbly kept) garden with mature palm trees and a pool. The whole place is magnificently designed too.

In May Italians think it is quite cold, though the temperature was perfect for us Brits, though we had three days of rain in a fortnight - not enough to spoil things. Two couples came for two or three days while we were there, otherwise we were the only people staying there which was bliss.

If you want a quiet holiday in a beautiful location, this is hard to beat.

Encourage more Brits to go - it really is perfect. The only drawback(?) is that the drive from Naples airport takes over two hours. But that's a small price to pay for such a great location.

We liked the regular articles about life in Italy sent by Summer In Italy.

Travel tips

  • A car is essential. We had day trips to Paestum, Herculaneum and Padula as well as other coastal villages near Acciaroli.
  • Variety of restaurants in Acciaroli, but Rosa's cooking surpassed them by far.

April 2007 - Stunning! Elegant! Beautiful!

The accommodations are above average, modern and extremely comfortable.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Don't forget to promote the exceptional cuisine at Villa Palmira for guests and non guests. The chef and service is exceptional ...we had the best meal in all of Acciaroli and vicinity.

Travel tips

  • Highly recommend that guest eat at the Villa. It has the only haute cuisine in all of Acciaroli! Excellent food! Presentation of food is better than one would get at a high class resort.
  • We recommend that guest visit all the port towns near by. Each are extremely beautiful...

Unfortunately, Villa Palmira D can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
