August 2015 - Villa Micaela far exceeded our expectations.

The location was delicious, fantastic views, wonderful sunsets, all set in a huge, fragrant, mature garden, lavender and herbs everywhere, with fig, olive, lemon, lime, pomegranate and many more trees.

The house was spacious, comfortable and had a very warm atmosphere. With every need anticipated and catered for.

We loved it! It was a privilege to stay there, a huge thank you!

Summer In Italy service is exceptional, and I shall recommend you to anyone thinking of going to Italy for a holiday.

Travel tips

  • It is a great location to visit other places of interest.
  • Pitigliano is a must, about an hour's drive away, Capalbio is lovely, especially for an early evening drink, 15 minutes drive.
  • We did 3 day trips to Rome, parking the car for free at Villa Bonelli, just off the motorway, then 3 stops on a train to the Vatican City.
  • Giglio Island is a must too. Because there were 10 of us, instead of getting the ferry, we rented 2 ribs for 140 euros each from Porto Santo Stefano, and took ourselves to Giglio Island for the day... Giglio harbour is so gorgeous, cafes, shops etc, surrounded by turquoise waters, excellent for snorkeling. It was one of the best days we had.
