September 2014 - The pictures don't do the view justice and the staff where great.

September 2013 - Great spot on the street level so there are not that many steps to get to it although there are steps once inside the building to get to the villa.

Very clean and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Breakfast on the terrace every morning was amazing. The kitchenette is small and sparse but we did eat in one night and had fresh pasta and sauce. We managed quite well and it was awesome.

A great spot to unwind and enjoy the charm. As I searched for our accommodation before our trip a terrace was critical for us - having been to Positano two times before. This place met all our needs and the terrace was better than we expected. We loved it. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • A feat place to stay if you plan on being out and about most of the time.
  • In Positano be prepared for fast drivers who may not be overly sympathetic to pedestrians.

September 2012 - I had a fabulous 2 week vacation at Villa Faustina C and would gladly recommend it to anyone.

The location is PERFECT... close to the Sita bus stop, close to the main beach and all the shops and restaurants, close to the Delikatessan (wonderful market) and local buses are easy to take to upper Positano where there are also good restaurants.

Fernanda [the caretaker] is a delightful hostess, as well as the others who were so kind to me. Everything was sparkling clean and kept up every other day with clean sheets. Luisa was so sweet to bring me home baked goodies every other day for breakfast.

My one small disappointment was the frig which is a very small mini-bar size and holds very little. I had expected something a little larger, but I made it work. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Internet service worked well most of the time.

Thank you "Summer in Italy" for providing me with a wonderful vacation experience in a dreamy part of Italy!!

Travel tips

  • Taking the bus, train and ferry to cities along the Amalfi coast is a lot of fun.
  • The restaurants were all wonderful. The apartment staff will assist you in making reservations.
  • Many restaurants that are in the town above Positano, Montepertuso, will pick you up in a van and return you home after dinner.

July 2011 - I think the balcony was the most amazing part with a view that make you feel as you were living in a movie or a painting. Every day I woke up and could not believe my eyes. The view was so beautiful and the mountains so majestic. The pastel painted building just beyond your reach. The details of the balcony were the same details that were incorporated into Le Sirenuse Hotel. These fantastic scroll-works made you feel as if you were a part of that amazing 5 star hotel for just a portion of the cost.

The last day the daughter of the owner brought us their home made limoncello as a thank you gift. Imagine that they thank us for staying there. My thanks go to you at Summer in Italy and the fantastic hospitality of the owners. I could not have asked for more.

This is the 2nd time I have used Summer in Italy and I will again and again.

Your properties are amazing... I love how helpful you all are with directions, taxi, flights, I feel like I am not on my own with your services, you are all extremely helpful in answering all my questions. As always, thanks so much!

Travel tips

  • I actually liked the activity just outside our balcony, cars and scooters going by and people watching. If you don't like noise, you might want to stay higher up or not on the main road in the summer.

October 2010 - Great location in heart of the town - gorgeous view of town and sea. Easy access - only 15 steps to the villa - then another flight to the room.

Owners very responsive to particular needs - like ice - they shared theirs with us.

Our room was basically an efficiency - more than ample for a couple. Bed was a bit hard but not too uncomfortable. Kitchen is tee tiny - making coffee or boiling water/sauteing mushrooms is about all you can do there... eat out!

Nice coral/blue decor. You can hear the traffic right outside our window but by nigh-time it was minimal - we were there in October.

Summer in Italy was very responsive and kept us up to date with our travel plans. Well done!

Travel tips

  • Book in advance.
  • We opted out of the breakfast they provide. Coffee and bread/pastries for 15 euro for two (with the dollar at $1.40 to Euro). We ate elsewhere or brought stuff to our room.
  • Loved Restaurant Le Tre Sorelle by the beach - really good food - moderate prices. Try the marinated seafood salad and drink house wine.

July 2010 - Villa Faustina C is in probably the greatest location in Positano. You have virtually the same view as those at the super expensive hotel across the street. When we showed people our honeymoon pictures, they got goosebumps when they saw our view. The terrace is huge, and if you stay in Villa Faustina C you will want to take your breakfasts and dinners on the terrace. Sure, you can go to a spendy restaurant on the beach, but the view there will be worse.

In addition to the view, the overall quality of the apartment was excellent. The floors are beautiful majolica tile, the bathroom has a spa tub, and everything is color coordinated and beautiful.

The only negatives of the apartment are a) yes, you can hear a bit of other people's doors down the hallway when they close and b) do not count on the air-conditioning to be up to American standards. If you are an American, and it's over 85 degrees out, you will likely think the AC is broken. I don't think it is; I just think that Italy doesn't know how to build a decent air-conditioning system.

Villa Faustina C is an excellent property with a competent landlady. We were delayed first by a flight and then by a train that kept stopping on the tracks, so that we arrived nearly at midnight. Mrs. Angela still met us with our keys without any complaint. Furthermore, she had arranged for a bottle of wine and flowers to be in our room, and they were both there and ready when we arrived. This is an excellent property and I would love to stay there again.

I booked this property after reviewing more than 100 Positano properties. I liked the view, that it had AC, and its proximity to the center of town/water.

Travel tips

  • Book this apartment. I searched 100s of apartments before choosing Villa Faustina C and I was not disappointed!
  • Also, be sure to have your landlord call Restaurant La Tagliata when you want to have the best meal of your lives. They send a car for you, and then you are driven to the very top of the mountain to a little family owned restaurant. When I say family owned, I mean the son sat us and got us our wine and the father/owner was our waiter. In addition to the eagle's eye view of the world, the greatest thing about the place is that there is no menu. Instead, you pay one fee (when we went it was 35 Euro per person) and they keep bringing out food. For us that meant a bottle of wine (we could have had more), bottle of water, and then 20 plates of food -- all home made specialties. They finished us off with limoncello. It was an amazing night, a 2 1/2 hour dining experience that was for both of us the greatest meal of our lives. Do not hesitate to go there.

March 2010 - This was an excellent apartment situated in a good location for the main shopping street; the seafront and all important bus stop to Sorrento and Amalfi.

Spotlessly clean and a daily made service, maintained high standards of cleanliness.

The breakfast (which on our tariff was extra) was superb and good value for money. Where did they get that lemon cake?

Good choice of accommodation options. We will look again at your website for future holidays in Italy

Travel tips

  • There is a kitchenette with a two ring cooker with no oven. However all the necessary cooking utensils are provided and you can successfully cook a decent pasta meal.
  • There is an excellent grocers shop 5 minutes down the hill with a good range of fresh produce.

February 2010 - Villa Faustina C is a really lovely studio apartment right in the middle of Positano.

The view from the terrace was amazing and the apartment itself was lovely with everything we needed. The apartment was even serviced with fresh linen and towels half way through our stay.

The owners were very helpful, even helping us carry our luggage up the steps.

The breakfast at the cost of 7 Euros per person was fantastic.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Faustina to family and friends.

Dealing with Summer in Italy has been a pleasure. Your web site is excellent and made choosing the right property very easy. The booking process was very easy and your instructions for getting to the villa made finding it easy. We'd be happy to recommend you to our family and friends.

Travel tips

  • You would be better off without a car (especially during the season). Parking is difficult and expensive and the local public transport is excellent.
  • Make sure you order the breakfast - at 7 Euros per person it was very reasonably priced and the quality and quantity of the food is excellent.

June 2009 - Villa Faustina C is a wonderful place to stay in Positano, the view, the Villa itself, the service it is incredible. You get cleaning every day, the girls are very helpful and nice. The owner, Mrs. Angela is very attentive and great.

The view from the terrace is breathtaking. Location is excellent.

I did enjoy every minute and I will go back anytime.

Great, great, great, no complaints at all from the service to the villa.

Travel tips

  • Take the breakfast that is offered at arrival. It is plenty to keep you going all day and the price is more than good, it ends up being cheap compared with other places in town.
  • Positano is wonderful, but take water shoes if you want to spend some time in the beach.
  • Good place to eat, L'Incanto restaurant right on the beach. Good food, good service, good prices.
  • Also, the Villa Faustina owner's store has very nice clothing.
  • Another great place to have an espresso and very good Italian pastries is Cafe La Zagara, it is on one of the main pedestrian little streets, right across from Delikatessen.

June 2009 - We stayed at Villa Faustina C in June 2009. The location is fabulous, right across the street from Hotel Ancora and Le Sirenuse and next door to Villa Rosa. Our private terrace had spectacular views of Positano and the sea.

The one room apartment is spacious and very clean. Angela [the owner] and the people who work there were very helpful and our apartment was cleaned every day, something we had not expected, but really appreciated!

The apartment was terrific value for money and we would return in a heartbeat.

We really appreciated the very speedy responses you gave to our questions and have already recommended Summer in Italy to friends.

Travel tips

  • If you stay at Villa Faustina C opt for the breakfast. For 5 Euros per person per morning we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast served on our own private terrace. I can still smell the huge pots of coffee!

Travel tips

  • We went to Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello and Praiano.
  • Tried to do the Walk of the Gods but it was not marked at all. I think you'd have to have better information for that hike.

It was so central and very easily accessible from the bus stop.

The sheltered terrace, looking out over the town was just magic and fantastic for enjoying the sunshine.

September 2008 - Our stay was incredible. The only thing that was surprising is that we expected the kitchen to be a little bit bigger, but there are so many great restaurants in Positano, it had little to no effect on our trip. The shower only had a "half-door", but we were still able to take a shower.

Other than that, the view was amazing. Our daily clean up service did a very good job and the location was perfect. Overall our stay was excellent.

Also, it's very affordable for such a nice place and location.

We found you on the Internet and were pleased with our updates and contact prior, and after our trip.

June 2008 - Wonderful apartment with a great location and view. We stayed for a week with our baby and it was perfect for our needs - in town, close to the beach, with a lovely terrace.

A crib for the baby was provided and he had a wonderful time. If you have small children, watch out for the cars and scooters zipping by on the main road right outside the door.

The place was spotlessly clean, quiet, and had great coffee in the mornings as well.

Travel tips

  • Bring swim shoes for the pebbly beach.
  • Definitely splurge on a dinner at nearby Max's - get the spaghetti alle vongole if possible.
  • Positano is a bit on the touristy side, to say the least, so take a day trip to Praiano or another town via water taxi for a different experience.

May 2008 - I spent two glorious weeks at Villa Faustina C. If anything the villa is bigger and nicer than the pictures on the website. The terrace is very large and has an electric retractable awning. The view from the terrace of Villa Faustina C is breathtaking. I was even treated to a perfect view of a couple of fireworks displays -- turns out that many wedding celebrations include fireworks from a boat off the shore.

The water pressure at Villa Faustina C is no problem at all. You can take a shower or fill the tub and turn on the hydro-jets. If you are concerned with your fitness level, this may be the Positano villa for you. Your driver can pull right up to the front door and you only have to navigate a total of 15 easy steps. The walk into town takes five minutes with two lovely wrought iron benches on the way. The local bus stop is 25 steps from the front door.

I opted for to take the generous continental breakfast each morning --usually on the terrace. I kept the little fridge stocked with olives, cheese, fruits, and bottled water. The local grocery (Delikatessen Positano) knows the owner/operator Mrs Angela and will deliver your groceries. I ate very lightly at mid-afternoon went out to dinner each night. I did not really use the kitchen except to make tea or a quick instant soup.

The owners/operators Mrs Angela and her daughter are lovely helpful people who own the shop next door and another shop down at the beach. I had my birthday while I was there and found a wrapped gift in the villa when I returned from dinner.

One other point. I was single woman travelling alone. I felt safe at Villa Faustina C and there is a small safe in the double wardrobe that allows you to set your own combination.

I recommend highly recommend Villa Faustina C. I would say that my trip to the Positano and the Amalfi Coast was the vacation of a lifetime -- except I am going back.

Travel tips

  • I recommend that you hire a driver from Summer in Italy's website both for airport transportation and for a day or a half day to Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello. I used Claudio Lucibello. He is a great reliable professional. You can take the SITA bus to these places, but an English speaking driver familiar with history of the Amalfi Coast makes for a special experience. My driver stopped at scenic vistas and let me get out to take pictures.
  • My driver also took me to a ceramics factory, LizArt Ceramics in Praiano where the pieces are more unique, the quality is higher and the prices are lower. My shipment arrived here in Philadelphia 10 days later with every piece intact.
  • I bought cameos from the shop/museum in Ravello and beautiful writing paper in Amalfi from the shop located in the connecting walkway between the town square and the waterfront.
  • Villa Faustina C is 3 doors away from the famous Le Sirenuse Hotel. You really should try to treat yourself to dinner at its restaurant - Restaurant La Sponda.
  • Another recommendation is Restaurant Max in the little pedestrian area. Make a reservation for an outside table.
  • Go on line and get the electrical adapters with the three round prongs. The TV works great but all stations are in Italian. I was glad I brought a portable DVD/CD player along with my favorite movies and music.
  • The cell phone and Italian SIM card I bought before I left never worked. Turns out the phone was defective. I ended up taking the local bus in Positano up to the Bar Internazionale stop. There is a cell phone store there (opens at 4:00 PM) where you can purchase a cell phone and SIM card or just an Italian SIM card. They sold me a brand new phone and SIM card for 100 Euros. I also purchased the minutes for the SIM card there and they loaded them upon them phone for me. They guaranteed it will work -- and it did. This is an economical and definitely reliable way to get a cell phone in Positano. After I got my phone number - I just called home and had my sister e-mail my cell number to all my family and friends. These people will first try to get your own phone to work by setting you up with an Italian SIM card. So you may not have to buy a phone like I did.

December 2007 - Villa Faustina C was easily the most incredible part of our stay in Italy! It was MUCH larger than the photos on the Internet showed, overlooked the town, was a 5 minute walk to the beach and had the most wonderful staff.

Anna and Angela [the caretakers] took care of everything, were so sweet and helpful and made our stay absolutely incredible.

I would recommend this villa to anyone and am looking forward to coming back!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help in planning our trip to Italy - it was absolutely perfect and your help was incredible.

Travel tips

  • Be sure to walk up the hill to find the old man who makes the best pasta in town - he doesn't speak much English but he is the best cook around.
  • Know that the off-season for Positano is pretty much from December 1st on, so arrive at your caution - many shops and restaurants are closed by then.

September 2007 - Villa Faustina C is wonderful. It is very clean with daily cleaning service (even though the contract said once a week). It is bright and very quaint.

The best part is the terrace - the view is unbelievable - the terrace almost as large as the apartment - perfect for evening glasses of vino!!

To be honest, we never used the kitchen, which actually only consists of 2 burners and a sink. If you are looking for a place that you will stay in and cook - this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay with a clean, large bedroom/sitting room and incredible terrace with the most incredible view, this is the place to stay.

We have already decided that we will plan the timing of our vacations in Positano around the availability of this apartment.

Travel tips

  • Walk out the front door and hang a left - walk about 50 meters to find the perfect restaurant - Bruno's - make a reservation to sit outside.

The location was fabulous allowing you to enjoy all that Positano had to offer without the massive climb of steps to get back. We would go into Positano up to 3 times a day just for a coffee.

May 2007 - This apartment was a pleasure to stay in, for our week in Positano.

The location was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the spacious terrace for our morning breakfasts and lunches. The views from the terrace are spectacular and we felt like we had jumped into a picture postcard.

The market, shops, bus stops and Internet were all close by.

The owner/manager, Mrs. Angela, was most helpful with information about the area, places to eat and bus schedules.

We found this apartment on the website, and decided to stay here after reading the testimonials. We would love to return for a second visit. The kitchen is tiny and minimally equipped.

June 2006 - Villa Faustina C was a brilliant base to stay in when on the Amalfi Coast. It was located perfectly in Positano - not too high and not too low!!

The view from the terrace, especially when drinking vino rosso and watching the sun disappear behind the mountain was magical and all from the privacy of your own terrace.
