Plenty of space and breathtaking views in a perfect location away from the crowds

June 2023 - The villa was perfect for us. We were two couples traveling together. Each of us had plenty of space. The views from the terraces are breathtaking. We ate breakfast outside each morning before heading out to explore the Amalfi Coast.

Praiano was a perfect location away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi. While there are lots of steps to access the villa, it is quite doable. The steps made us feel less guilty about all the great food and wine in the area.

This villa is a perfect choice for couples traveling together or families.

Mr. Antonio, the owner was a great host. He was charming and helpful. He takes great pride in the home, and it shows.

Summer In Italy was easy to work with, communicative and always available. Will absolutely rent from them again when in Italy!

Travel tips

  • So many great local restaurants. It made "coming home" to Praiano each afternoon/evening a perfect end to the day.
  • We used the local porters for our luggage and it was well worth it!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time!

October 2022 - We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villa. Great space for our family to enjoy the time in Praiano.

Mr. Antonio, the owner was a wonderful help throughout our stay.

Great experience with Summer In Italy, great service. We had some logistic challenges and Klint was a big help and sorting us out.

Travel tips

  • Rent a scooter to get around to see the sights and parking is a little easier.

Perfect for our family

July 2022 - This accommodation was perfect for our family. Comfortable, wonderful views, great location, and all amenities that we needed. My only regret is that we were not able to stay longer!

No suggestions. It was perfect! Antonio [the owner] was wonderful. He had so much information and recommendations on nearby areas for us. He has thought of everything.

Travel tips

  • We went to the beach often which was a short walk and less crowded than the other larger beach in Praiano.
  • Mini Market Tutto Per Tutti was great for groceries.
  • We ate at a couple nearby restaurants, Restaurant La Moressa and also Restaurant Da Armandino by the beach, and loved both.

Like at home!

June 2022 - From the moment we arrived, Antonio made us feel at home, as he welcomed us to his home. Aside from being a well-equipped home in a lovely, quiet community, the abundance of outdoor spaces allowed us to all find our favorite spots.

We wanted a place to use as a hub for day trips, but was not too touristy. Praiano filled that bill.

Travel tips

  • Don't expect to rely on your own vehicle for transportation - the roads are too narrow and congested. Park it in the garage and leave it, and rely on the many other ways to get around.
  • Be prepared to climb a lot of steps to go anywhere fun in the Amalfi Coast.

Wonderful experience

July 2019 - I stayed here with my three children and it was a wonderful experience. The home is on three levels and had enough space for everyone to be on their own, and a very comfortable kitchen and outdoor spaces for everyone to congregate together. I should note that there are also enough terrace spots to have solitude as well. The views are fabulous.

You can easily walk to a small, super cute grocery store to get the necessities, as well as a very nice restaurant (La Moressa), where I had my morning cappuccino with an incredible view, and also enjoyed some fabulous dinners. The walk to the beach (and especially back) can be challenging, but the good news is that public transport goes to the nearby grocery store, which allows for getting to and from the beach, as well as to neighboring towns easy.

The best thing about our stay was Antonio [the owner], who welcomed us with such warmth. It started with the fact that we were dropped off many, many steps lower than the home and had to make our way up. Antonio had great spirit and humor and took 3 of our 4 bags on his motorbike, including carrying one on his lap!

The home has a very helpful binder with schedules for transportation, trash/ recycling pick-up, brochures for local attractions/ activities - and Antonio walked us through all of it, answering questions along the way. He arranged our trip to Capri, as well as our final dinner to watch the sunset (including transportation to and from). Our flight was out of Rome and required us to leave at 4:30 in the morning and he was a great sport - arriving at 4:15 to check us out and help us get our bags to the grocery for pick up by the driver. He also have us his cell phone and told us to contact him if we had any issues.

It was a much more personal touch than I had expected and I now want to go back just to see Antonio again. I loved his parting words: "The first visit is just to understand a place, and the second visit is to relax". I think we were able to relax, but I hope we are blessed to go back for another visit!

Great trip.

Travel tips

  • Spend a day at Il Pirata by the beach, get a lounge chair for 10 euro and spend your day swimming, sipping wine or prosecco, and eating, eating, eating.
  • Definitely go to Capri by boat. Even though it is "touristy", it is worth it.
  • Visit the western side of Praiano to see the church and have a wonderful dinner enjoying the sunset (I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but Antonio will!).

The villa had everything we needed and was so relaxing and peaceful. It felt like home!

July 2019 - We had a wonderful stay at Villa Fabiola - the views are incredible from every room and the terraces are magnificent. The villa had everything we needed and was so relaxing and peaceful. It felt like home and is so beautiful inside and out.

The home is quite spacious, with plenty of room - easily 2 couples could share or a large family would also have plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioning during a heatwave while we were there helped keep the bedrooms cool for sleeping.

Check-in and check-out was super easy and our host, Antonio, made us feel like family. He went above and beyond getting our bags to the villa and was so friendly showing us everything we could do in the surrounding areas. Antonio was absolutely incredible to us and we will always remember his kindness and beautiful home. We didn’t want to leave!

I read reviews on the net that mentioned Summer In Italy several times and after a few communications through email with Luca, decided I wanted to work with your company to book our stay in the Amalfi Coast. Luca was very patient with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He took the time to look for the best alternative options when my first choice wound up not available. The service and devotion to making sure myself and my family were satisfied will make me use Summer In Italy for any future trip to Italy.

Travel tips

  • Tutto Per Tutti grocery store nearby the villa is great for getting any necessities.
  • Recommend private driver for transportation from Naples train station to Praiano.
  • We enjoyed two wonderful dinners at the Hotel Margherita and a delicious lunch at Restaurant Saghir in Praiano. Beautiful sunset can be seen from the Restaurant Tramonto d’Oro. Lunch at Buca di Bacco in Positano was quite good with spectacular views.
  • Day trips - recommend local bus to Amalfi and after some sightseeing there, hop the ferry to Positano. You can either return via local bus to Praiano or hire a charter boat for a lovely ride back.
  • We took a boat tour to Capri and were very happy with it - highly recommend to see Capri.

What a fantastic stay

July 2018 - Me and my friends had a fantastic stay at Villa Fabiola. Clean, with all things you need. We cooked some nights and had breakfast every morning with an amazing sea view. The house was bigger than we thought and being 6 persons in the house never felt tight.

It's close to Tutto per Tutti (super market). The owner said he would miss us as we left haha. One could say we spent a lot of euros there ;)

Grazie Mille!! Greetings from Sweden

Travel tips

  • One heads up, and that is the stairs. We thought it was worth every 200 step up, but it was sweaty! But that’s the "price" you pay for staying with breathtaking views!

Fantastic

June 2017 - Excellent location - I will never forget those views and the blue of the sea and sky. The terraces are spectacular and served our need to be outdoors as much as we could.

Very relaxing and wonderful vacation. We felt quite safe in this village - it was quaint, beautiful and made me long for a simple way of life.

Good organization - I feel comfortable with Summer in Italy - this is my third experience with them and all of them have been more than satisfactory. Thank you SII for another great trip! You will always be my contact for stays in Italy. Hopefully I will be planning another trip in the not too distant future.

Travel tips

  • Tutto per Tutti served our every need as far as groceries and staples.
  • The folks in the village were so friendly and accommodating we even had rides from folks here and there to buy meat, fish etc.
  • Everything is local and the bus is the way to go to get to nearby sightseeing. Anything out of the area we used a limo service which for the 5 of us was very reasonable.
  • It was hard to leave the villa and we were happy to get back to our home away from home the days we did venture out.

Fantastic

April 2017 - We enjoyed our stay in villa Fabiola. The house was very clean and very well equipped.

The owner was helpful. It was nice of the people of the grocery store that they delivered at the house because of the 60 steps to the house.

We were satisfied to book with Summer in Italy. Everything was correct and everyone was very helpful.

Travel tips

  • La Strada was a nice restaurant with delicious food.
  • You don't need a car in Praiano, you can take a bus in almost every half an hour.

October 2016 - Villa Fabiola was fantastic. We looked forward to the end of the day when we would have our "happy hour" on the balcony overlooking the blue Mediterranean. In fact most of our meals were had on the balcony. The view was to die for.

We recommend the small grocery store a short walk from the villa for some of the best bread, cured meats, wine and general grocery items.

The villa was large, comfortable and you wanted for nothing.

Summer in Italy very professional and most definitely use them again and recommend strongly.

Travel tips

  • Our advice is to do the area with a hire scooter, not a car. They can be dropped off and picked up from the corner store near the villa. In fact anywhere on the Amalfi coast is better done by scooter. For non-bike people there are the local bus services which do all the towns of the coast very cheaply and efficiently. Leave the car at home!

July 2016 - We liked Villa Fabiola liked it very much. We knew that there was a fantastic view but it was absolutely amazing together with the terrace and garden.

The kitchen was very functional. We spent all the time outside on the terraces with the views and not inside.

Our conversation with you in "summer in Italy" before our journey was perfect. You were very fast answering the questions and suggestion that we had and your website is also very informative... I'm not sure if I read everything about the traffic situation on the Amalfi coast but from our point of view it was a little bit chaotic. Because of that we didn't use the car during the week. That was a pity when it was so much to see in the area.

I'm sure that when going to Italy again we will be definitely checking up your website. We feel absolutely comfortable to recommend you to our friends in the future. Thank you and hope to see you again.

Travel tips

  • I think it's good to know that it's not possible to park a large car close to the villa. We came with a minibus (Renault Traffic) and we had to pay extra 80 euro for a parking space for that.

June 2015 - This is an amazing property! Spectacular views and wonderful living space... especially the terraces! Ample square footage! This property is very much a home.

The village of Praiano provides a very welcome relief from the other nearby touristy towns. The residents are very friendly and helpful.

If your reading this now... don't look any further, reserve it and start planning a great vacation!

Travel tips

  • One must be able to do stairs. Like the rest of the Amalfi Coast, stairways are a fact of life.
  • You can buy most of your groceries at the local market, Tutto per Tutti (Everything for Everyone). This really will provide most of your grocery needs. Bar Mare is an excellent dinning out experience on the beach. Both are family owned and operated... taking great pride in their business.

May 2015 - We had a fantastic week at Villa Fabiola. The stunning view and the piece and quiet surroundings were amazing.

I also must say that the Antonio, the person who looks after the house, really did a good job in feeling us really welcomed. He helped us out a lot both with helping us with our heavy luggage up ALL the stairs (because there are a lot of them) and giving us tips and advice on everything. Really helpful in every way.

Everything has been working great. It is the 3rd time now that I am renting from Summer in Italy and once again I was extremely pleased. So I will probably use Summer in Italy next time I go to Italy again, which hopefully will be soon :-)

Travel tips

  • You must be prepared of a lot of stairs up to the house from where you can park your car. It is hard work to climb all of them every day and that comes from a person that is quite well trained. But it is really worth it because the view and the atmosphere is really something that I will never forget.

April 2015 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Fabiola. The owner - Mr Antonio - has done a fantastic job with this villa. It was really clean and had great rooms. The view was wonderful.

There were lots of steps into the villa - approximately 62- but there are lots of steps all over Amalfi coast. There was a supermarket close by. There is no need for a car though as parking is quite a long way from the villa and the buses are very good and run regularly.

September 2014 - Villa Fabiola was amazing!!! It exceeded our "wildest" expectations.

Summer In Italy gave us an excellent and personal service and made us feel like theirs "only and unique" clients... Thanks all the team!!!

Travel tips

  • The parking is not inside the villa. It is down on the main road. It is first of all up almost 90 steps, and then down 200 steps, which means afterwards up 200 steps again.
  • Very well stocked grocery nearby - Tutti per tutti.

August 2014 - The Villa Fabiola was the late August retreat we needed to get away from the speed of our busy lives.

We selected the villa, in large part, due to the outdoor balconies and views of the ocean. It did not disappoint. Whether we were reading, watching stars, dining or basking in the sun we used the two outside areas quite a bit.

I was impressed with the modern nature of the bathrooms - well done.

The speed of Praiano suited our needs.

The owner, Antonio, was just splendid. He truly welcomed us into his home as he accommodated us in true Italian hospitality. The figs from the garden were a delight.

The floor plan will work for families or two couples. I would suggest the 3rd bedroom is good for kids or a singler person.

Travel tips

  • Orange bus line, if you are there when it seasonally loops to la playa, it was usually 5-10 minutes late than schedule. You should pick the time, after the loop to la playa, if heading to Positano.
  • The market, which was 3-4 minute walk, had everything you would need for cooking meals at home.
  • Take a car service from Naples as opposed to the trains and buses. You will arrive much more relaxed.
  • We had our 2 year old daughter therefore we had to pay a premium for some things like car services, but we had no problems taking the bus to Positano or Amalfi.
  • For the shoes, bring shoes that you can walk on heavy rocks.

April 2014 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Fabiola. The view is amazing; there is a lot of space in the villa and in the terraces and garden. The villa is kept in high standard.

There is a small supermarket and bus station near the apartment and lot of stairs to the parking...

We stayed at the villa with 2 children (ages ten and six) and they loved it as well.
