April 2014 - The location of Villa Clorinda B was perfect to see the Amalfi Coast and the view from the terrace was spectacular! The apartment was very clean and the owner was very friendly.

I only communicated with Summer In Italy by email. Everyone was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. I will definitely book with Summer In Italy again for future holidays in Italy.

Travel tips

  • Take a walk up the stairs (just next to the property) to Ravello. Not an easy walk but worth it.
  • Try to eat at the Restaurant Il Veliero in Atrani, very friendly owner and great food!

Travel tips

  • Day trip to Capri and/or Positano by boat is easy from Amalfi and recommended.
  • Pathways to Amalfi and Ravello are a challenging hike, especially uphill direction. Good footwear a must.
  • SITA bus stop is nearby, but schedule is somewhat erratic.

July 2013 - We enjoyed the Villa Clorinda B and the owner was very friendly! The only negative point is that the beach is far from the flat and we had to take our car every day to go to the beach (and take the 170 steps as mentioned in the internet).

Travel tips

  • Well the view is fantastic, we have visited Capri, Ravello and went to Minori for the beach.
  • Unfortunately we did not find friendly people in the restaurants and shops and we are disappointed about that!
  • If you are going by car be careful about the parkings! It is really expensive! EUR 3.-- p/hour.

Travel tips

  • Can do this without a car, but you will spend some time waiting for the bus.
  • Walking to Amalfi is pretty easy, up to Ravello is really difficult!

September 2010 - Very spacious apartment with great views of the Amalfi coastline.

Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine, DVD player etc. The only downsides were that it was difficult to walk into Amalfi as the path was closed off meaning that you had to walk on the road which was a bit hazardous and the noise from the road.

May 2009 - Overall we did enjoy Villa Clorinda.

The bathroom would be better with a shower curtain and the main road is noisy.

The location was excellent for walking up to Ravello and down to Atrani.

Overall we had a wonderful time and our hosts were really very accommodating.

I really enjoyed working with you on renting the villa. Every time I made contact I was immediately corresponded with. Thank you we had a great experience.

Travel tips

  • Walk up to Ravello if you are feeling reasonably fit and walk every evening down to Atrani and Amalfi. Supermarket is excellent in Amalfi and take some walks in the hillside and surrounding areas. Atrani is like a little Italian village

The scenery and surroundings were magnificent.

April 2008 - We enjoyed an absolutely lovely stay at Villa Clorinda B. After 3 weeks of touring Italy, we were ready for home, but from the moment we arrived at Villa Clorinda, it was pure paradise.

The location is excellent, the villa was clean and equipped with everything you need. Claudia (the owner) was lovely and helpful.

We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the last week of our holiday.

You made the whole booking process easy, communication was prompt and it was a bonus being able to communicate in English. Thank you

Travel tips

  • Villa Clorinda is located in Castiglione, about a 20 min walk from Amalfi. The location is perfect, the local 'Sita' bus service stops just up the road, which can take you into Amalfi or up to Ravello.
  • There is only 1 small store nearby (at the bottom of some steep stairs), but it is easy to head into Amalfi to the supermarket, and bus back to the villa.
  • The Sita bus from Amalfi can take you to the other nearby towns, Positano, Ravello etc...
  • Cruises leave from Amalfi to Capri.
  • For travellers wishing to access the Internet, there is a little shop in Amalfi with a couple of computers.
  • Overall we had an incredible week at the villa, and would highly recommend it.

Travel tips

  • Visit Castiglione di Ravello beach - there's a few stairs involved but it's worth it to visit the beach and hang out with the locals.
  • The ferry service between Salerno, Amalfi and Positano beats the bus any day!
