Enjoyed the villa and stunning region

October 2023 - We did very much enjoy our stay at Villa Benamata. The surrounding countryside in the Chianti region is stunning and everything you wanted it to be. The surrounding towns of Greve in Chianti, Radda, and Cortona were highlights. And Villa Benamata was nice to come back to to relax after our daily area explorations.

I love booking with Summer in Italy and working with Luca and his staff and have done so several times. First rate and they have many wonderful villas to offer for whatever your needs are. I’m a big fan!

Travel tips

  • Definitely go to Greve and explore the Piazza with the various restaurants and shops.
  • Plan a trip to Radda and do wine tasting, and Cortona is a must! Such beautiful towns and countryside with fantastic food and wine.

Nice and good restaurants in the neighborhood, and very good wines. A very good equipped alimentari around the corner.

  • Visit the restaurant 4 kilometres away, direction Radda in Chianti. Very nice service and only a spoken menu. Tasteful!

We loved our stay!

August 2023 - We loved our stay! The pool was amazing and so was the view. It was large enough for our family of 5. You really feel like you are in an old Italian villa with all of the stone and shuttered windows.

We were looking for a large house with a pool that we could also do day trips from. Villa Benamata was perfect for that!

Travel tips

  • The town is very small with one small grocery store and pizza restaurant open on weekends.
  • You need to plan ahead and do shopping in Figline Valdarno.
  • We traveled by train to Florence twice and took a road trip to Siena so it is easy to see other parts of Tuscany.
