Very good

August 2013 - Villa Bartolo is a very good place with a very good view.

Travel tips

  • Have a car and travel along seashore for a nice beach. The best beaches are in San Vincenzo, about 40 km to south.

Very good

August 2013 - We had a perfect holiday in this spacious and comfortable (with airco) apartment on the first floor of the typical italian villa. Every day we enjoyed the fascinating view of the beach and the tourist port on the terrace.

Ideal for beach holidays (the beach at 100 m) or for day trips to Tuscan cities such as Siena, Pisa, Lucca.

Fantastic

June 2013 - We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Bartolo. We stayed in the upper 3 bedroom unit and found it extremely comfortable, bright and cheerful.

The property manager, Natale, was very pleasant and helpful.

The location could not have been any better. Just steps from the beach and marina, it was absolutely perfect.

The pictures on the website are spot on. Great villa at a very reasonable rate.

Excellent

June 2012 - The villa itself was quaint and very "Italian", which we loved.

Travel tips

  • Lovely quiet location.
  • If it your first time in Italy - you need to understand the times that businesses are open (and closed). During the day (12-4 pm) this area virtually shuts down.
  • Once we had a rhythm that worked with the locals we had a better time. We slept in, had breakfast and headed to the beach until 1.30 pm. Then headed back to the villa for showers, lunch and a siesta. Around 4 pm we headed out on foot having dinner whilst out (everyone here comes out for the evenings), so the kids rarely went to bed before 11 pm. Once used to this, the younger ones loved that there were "2 days in every real day". The cooler evenings made this the best time to explore.
  • Without a car you won't see much unless you are prepared to walk a lot.

August 2010 - Villa Bartolo B is a great one especially for the money we've paid for it.

We were really surprised with the bicycles provided that helped us to get to the beach.

The balcony overlooked the yacht club and we've spent every evening there playing cards and drinking wine/coffee.

The place where Villa Bartolo B is situated in a very quiet place with all infrastructure near it.

Travel tips

  • If you wanna to get to the beach with white sand you should take bicycle, 5 min and you reach the real paradise :-)

August 2010 - We enjoyed to stay at Villa Bartolo B. Nice furnished apartment with a big terrace and beautiful view.

The beach near to Villa Bartolo was not nice so we drove to another beach by car.

Excellent

July 2009 - The appartment was in surprisingly good shape and interior appeared as new. It suited all our needs. Very good beds and aircondition in every bedroom.

Our only minus was that neighboors downstairs had a dog that sounded like a foghorn most of the day and also some noise from the shipyard.

We were very happy with the service we got from Mr. Natale [the owner], who spoke good English.

Travel tips

  • Although the beach was ok, we suggest to bring or buy bathing shoes since the rocks were sharp.
  • We recommend the closest restaurant Pizzeria La Tettoia, good service and good food, excellent espresso!
  • If you want to visit Pisa, have in mind that there can be a 4-hour line to enter the tower!

Unfortunately, Villa Bartolo B can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
