September 2013 - We enjoyed Villa Aubrezia the property very much.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and ideally placed for walks into ravello and touring the Amalfi coast.

The owners of the property were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality was fantastic and made the stay in Scala that much more special.

I would recommend this property to anyone!

June 2012 - Located outside the touristic area but nearby, Scala is an amazing place to live the Italian village life.

Access was easy with parking in the house driveway was very appreciated.

Great place to be.

This is our 3rd trip in Italy and surely not the last!!

Travel tips

  • Don't expect supermarkets in Scala but the little commodity store had everything you need especially the one near the little church up the hill who had excellent proscuitto !!

September 2009 - We had two fantastic weeks at Villa Aubrezia A.

Mr and Ms Luigi who own the property were very helpful and took great care of us.

The flat was in excellent shape and very clean and we didn't have any problems with it at all. Everything worked fine and it was amazing to sit out on the terrace in the evening, drinking limoncello and watching the sunset.

We stayed there in early September and the flat was perfect temperature, we didn't even have to turn the A/C on.

There was a fig tree in the driveway that delicious figs grew on that we ate probably too many.

The bathroom/kitchen was very clean and tidy. The kitchen had a lot of utensils and lots of lots of plates/glasses.

It was rather quiet but just like a lot of small villages in the Mediterranean, there were quite a lot of dogs barking in the evening.

Travel tips

  • I'd recommend anyone staying at Villa Aubrezia to have a (rental) car. We only really used to the car to drive to / from the property and going shopping with, the rest of the time we either walked down (about a 1 hour walk) or took the bus down to the beach. The walk down to Amalfi is stunning, although we never walked back up since it's quite a walk. There are buses running from Scala to Amalfi and back regularly.
  • There are a some small shops in Scala, but we did most of our shopping at a Spar show about 5 minute drive from Scala. Spar doesn't have very good vegetables/fruits though, but there's a great shop for this in Scala, that's also quite cheap.
  • There's a fairly cheap and good restaurant called Il Pinguino just two houses down and a fantastic sea food restaurant around the corner.
  • You should definitely try the local limoncello also.

Unfortunately, Villa Aubrezia A can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
