June 2014 - We were a family of 15 and rented 4 units: Villa Arturo A, B, C and E. The area was beautiful... Lemon trees, a beautiful pool...... There was also a large table near the pool, so we could all sit down for dinners.
The owner and his family were wonderful.
Travel tips
- There is a 800 meters walking to get to the sea. A car would be nice.
- Many very good restaurants, shops, bakery, meat market, ........
- Bus stop and train station not too far from Villa Arturo.
- We took a bus tour, provided by www.italydriver.com, along the Amalfi Coast and Umberto was wonderful. He gave us plenty of time to walk around and become a part of this beautiful scene.
- We also took a boat trip to Capri and a train trip to Pompeii.

April 2014 - This was my first visit to Sorrento and we had just come from renting a city apartment in Florence.
Villa Arturo A, the family and the warmth of Gino was fantastic.
Gino and others (Antonino, his brother did not speak English), were helpful in every moment and every way.
While we were there for romance, there were more children and families staying there; but it did not matter, it was welcoming and warm.

- Only 100 yards form Villa Arturo A family compound is a super market for all your needs.

The owners are super helpful. Gino made excellent recommendations such as getting a boat to get us to Capri for a reasonable rate. They are good people. Sometimes they make dinner for the guests -- excellent Be sure you are hungry. Best bruschetta ever.

September 2012 - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Arturo A, could not have asked for any more from the owners who were very helpful and friendly.
I would certainly recommend staying here whatever your circumstances. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the pool was perfect for my 4 year old son. I don't have a bad word to say about the place, highly recommended.

June 2012 - Overall we had a fantastic holiday staying at Villa Arturo in Sorrento. The accommodation was great, in a beautiful setting with great facilities. We were surrounded by lemon and orange trees, there was a clean warm swimming pool that was never too busy, as well as communal hammocks sun terraces, etc.
The owner (Gino in particular) was extremely friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English) - he even put on a fantastic barbecue one evening for us and our friends.
I would certainly go back to Villa Arturo (all apartments there looked nice), and would highly recommend it to any one else.

- Listen to Gino's advice and if you get the opportunity go to one of his barbecues!

May 2012 - Yes we enjoyed our stay at Villa Arturo A. The owners family were extremely friendly and caring and made sure that any requests were provided. They even organised a dental appointment for our son at short notice!
The outdoor patio on our villa was a huge bonus and we used it every afternoon.
The location was very close to two small supermarkets for our cooking requirements.
Will recommend this accommodation to friends.
Happy with our booking. Summer in Italy found on general web search. Will use and recommend in the future.
Travel tips
- The train station was about a 10 minute walk, but be prepared to carry your bags up several flights of stairs or use a taxi.
- The clothes washing machine for our villa was located within, but in a garden storage area nearby. Other villas have them in the laundry - enquire first if this is a requirement of your booking.

- Sorrento is a very beautiful place and also a nice area to go is Marina Grande (a little bit out of the center) and for good fish do not miss the Restaurant Taverna Azzura.
- On Amalfi Coast, Ravello is worth the detour.

August 2010 - We really enjoyed Villa Arturo A, it was located within walking distance from town, and all amenities were just fine.
The outdoor area was great, and it was bright and fun.
The owner and his family were very special, made us feel welcome and gave us hints about enjoying Sorrento and the surrounding areas.
I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Travel tips
- I guess you have a choice about joining in with the other guests and the owners family or not. We enjoyed two group meals in the week, put on at a nominal cost by the owner, lots of fun.

June 2008 - The accommodation was clean and tidy and gave the freedom of preparing your own meals or snacks which was ideal as we have a young family.
The grounds are well maintained and the pool is a welcome addition when you over heat!
The villa was only a 10 minute walk although when coming back it was up hill and a little tiring in the heat after a day sightseeing.
Summer in Italy were very friendly and assisted in all of our enquiries (and there were a few). A very friendly, helpful response at all times... well done.

- The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to assist. I would urge any visitor to ask them where to eat, shop, etc.
Unfortunately, Villa Arturo A can not be booked at this time.
