September 2013 - My husband and I just loved our stay at Villa Albarosa B. If we go back to that area again, will certainly try and see if it is available.
We particularly liked the quietness. We did have a couple next door, but they like us wanted their privacy and that was great, no noise etc.
The owner is very nice friendly lady. The staff also were very helpful.
Going in late September the temperature was ideal for us. As I expected the Italians were very friendly and hospitable, so we were not disappointed. Loved the local wine.
Travel tips
- The villa is above average, and we thought web pictures did not do it justice. We are in our 60's and it was just ideal.
- We liked the closeness of the Port in Salerno, for the beautiful boat trips, to various coastal resorts. Our favourite was Ravello, oh to get married again, that is where I would head.

October 2010 - The house was lovely, but suffers a bit from damp and from noisy plumbing. However, the view more than made up for this, as did the very friendly welcome and the care taken during our stay.

July 2008 - An excellent location for touring the Amalfi coast and the surrounding area.
Take the boat to Amalfi, Positano and Capri from Salerno. The coast road is very scenic but also very difficult to drive and impossible to park on.
Visit Pompeii but get there at 8.30 am before the coaches arrive - well worth it and only half an hour by car from the villa.

July 2008 - We were worried when we drove into the village Benincasa, and we could not find the villa at first, and at first we thought it was one of the shabby houses in the beginning of Benincasa...
So much more were we overwhelmed by the charm of Villa Albarosa as a home and the garden is fantastic also for children to explore.
Not to mention the hospitality and welcoming of the owner and the assistants. We felt very cared for.
We found what we were looking for through Summer in Italy. Perfect match between price and quality and good assistance and feedback on our calls.
Travel tips
- We travelled with our children (9 and 12 years old). Their definition of a good holiday is also beach and swimming pool - and so we recommend the beach of Maiori over the beach of Vietri sul Mare
- Both the Amalfi and Positano are wonderful towns to visit. By car Amalfi takes about 35 minutes and Positano more than 1 hour.
