June 2012 - Suite Giardino was absolutely fantastic. My partner and I enjoyed every minute. We very much thank Summer Italy staff for being so clear in their arrangements prior to our stay and from everyone at the Villa for being so friendly and helpful.

The Suite Giardino is a lovely little apartment with fabulous views and it was very easy to slip into a incredibly relaxing routine of a swim in the sea early morning and at dusk with beautiful walks in the picturesque region by day.

Thank you for such a great time!

Travel tips

  • I suggest that you include a visit to Suite Giardino in your itinerary to Italy. It is a must if you are looking for an antidote to a stressful life.

August 2011 - We loved every second of our stay. We loved the breakfast option in the morning and it was great to look at the views from the breakfast area.

The people who run it, Pierpaolo, Dominic, and Matthew were all excellent workers and very accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way to help us!! They were very nice and their English is great!

Travel tips

  • There is an alimentari just a few blocks heading towards Amalfi that is great to pick up snacks or food to cook.
  • Don't be afraid to walk on the street. All the locals do it and it's very safe and fun!!
  • Don't be afraid if you have a lizard in your room. Little Lenny the lizard was a very nice guest for us!!

October 2008 - We really enjoyed our time here... mainly because of the fabulous views.

Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, overlooking the water, although staff don't seem to know how to make a cappuccino, surprisingly. Almost everyone who ordered one the first morning changed their orders the next morning.. but I guess that's just a small thing.

The room was great, although no sitting area to speak of, besides the kitchen area. I found that sitting on the terrace, you couldn't see over the wall to look at the water, so I didn't use the terrace, but preferred to sit at the kitchen table where you could see the water. The view was spectacular.

Staff were very helpful and amenable... Piero and especially Dominic... they really did assist us whenever they could.

We were glad we didn't have a car, and enjoyed the walk along the road to the towns, although some people would find it very hair raising. The walk to the towns is via a narrow road shared with cars, buses and motorbikes, and you sometimes have to squeeze up against the retaining wall to let them past. Beautiful to stroll to the towns, but you are very close to the traffic.

Overall, a great place to stay and we would happily return.

SummerInItaly provided a very personalized service. Appreciated the 24 hour phone number... even though not used, it was a comfort knowing it was available.

Travel tips

  • Atrani is a great little town, closer to Suite Giardino than Amalfi. Really nice little restaurants, a butcher, fishmonger, small grocer... handy if you are self catering.
  • Hotel down the road... San Michele... is a good place to go for a meal and you can arrange for the bill to be added to your account. A short walk and good if you don't want to travel far for dinner.

June 2007 - We loved the way the sun streamed in through the French windows in the morning and the view from the living room of the sea and the mountains.

Slightly disappointed that the living room was walled in rather than open though I suspect this was because we were self catering.

It's a fabulous place for a holiday. Staff was very helpful. If you pushed me for constructive criticism it would be that the ladies who make breakfast learn to do a proper cappuccino!

Travel tips

  • Fly to Naples and then take the ferry for 10 euros to Amalfi and a boat from Amalfi to Villa Scarpariello. The villa would be able to arrange this.
  • Absolutely no need for a car even if staying for as long as a week.
  • We hired our own boat to Positano, took the ferry to Capri, a taxi to Ravello, the ferry to Naples for an overnight stay at Hotel San Francesco Al Monte, and walked every other day to Amalfi town for a coffee at Pansa in Piazza del Duomo.

June 2006 - Yes we did enjoy it. Location of Villa a little difficult. Location of Suite Giardino, the best!

The villa is all up and down stairs but worth the effort.

Breakfast and service excellent.

Summer in Italy did a great job. Daughter Katherine found you on the net. No suggestions for you. Good job.

July 2005 - We loved the spectacular views from the suite, it was very restful.

This accomodation is not for those who have a fear of heights however! There are uneven stairs to get everywhere. I was aware when booking that the property was built into a cliff but didn't realise that the steps would be quite so steep or uneven. That said we had a fabulous week relaxing after a week of sightseeing elsewhere in Italy.

The suite was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen facilities whilst basic were sufficient.

Your company was extremely helpful and attentive and directions to the accomodation were good. I would not hesitate using your company again or recommending it to others. Thank you.

July 2004 - I stayed at the Suite Giardino for my honeymoon in July. My wife and I absolutely loved the place. The room looked over the ocean. At night we would open the windows to hear the waves crash against the shore as we fell asleep. We had all the privacy in the world yet didn't feel too secluded.

Piero, the man who runs the villa, was a great help. He arranged for a boat to pick us up at the villa and take us to Positano as well as arranging for a car to take us to Ravello.

The villa is in a great location. It's only a 20 minute walk to Amalfi or about a 10 minute cab ride. Minori and Maiori are also a few minutes away.

Overall, it was an excellent stay. We plan on spending our first anniversay at the Suite Giardino.

July 2004 - We had a fantastic stay in Suite Giardino and although we've been back in the UK for 3 weeks, we are already making plans to return next year.

The accommodation in the converted watch-tower is in an idylic setting and surpassed all our expectations, while the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Suite Giardino was a great base for day trips, with buses frequent although it is also possible to walk to the villages of Minori, Maiori, Atrani & Amalfi.

The Villa was amazing. We enjoyed lazing by the pool and the amount of different coloured flowers really enhanced the environment and added to the tranquil setting.

We cannot thank you enough for helping arrange our holiday. The site is easy to use and our service excellent. The accommodation was amazing and we intend to return!

We shall certainly tell our friends who wish to visit the Amalfi Coast about your web-site.

May 2004 - We had a fantastic time staying a Suite Giardino. It was exactly as described and pictured on the website, with no disappointments.

We stayed here for a week in early May whilst on our honeymoon and it was a beautifully romantic setting.

The staff on hand were very helpful, the breakfast was great, and we even had a whirpool bath in the bathroom!

We would definitely recommend Suite Giardino to others, and hope to return here again in the not too distant future.

Your website was very easy to use and had a lot of different properties available. The whole booking process was very straightforward, and representatives of the company were very helpful in assisting us with planning our visit. The description of the property we stayed at was very accurate. We will definitely use Summer in Italy again when renting a villa holiday.

June 2003 - Suite Giardino, with its spectacular views, private patio, and lemon grove, was as near to paradise as we could hope for.  Relaxation is an understatement!

May 2003 - We had a lovely time at Suite Giardino.

Piero [the caretaker] was charming and very helpful especially when we found out we had left our passports at the Holiday Inn, Naples!!

The area was so beautiful and the people very friendly!!

We would recommend Suite Giardino without hesitation and look forward to returning in the future.

May 2003 - I spent the most idyllic week in Suite Giardino.  The view from the balcony is breathtaking as you look across the bay towards Maiori.  The aromatic scent of the lemon vine and the gentle lapping of the sea below, relax the mind and body.

The fresh seawater pool cut into the cliffside is perfect for a dip to cool down in the glorious warm weather.  As you walk around the villa there are lots of romantic spots to sit and look out across the bay, every corner you turn the perfect photo opportunity.  I didn't want to leave and I can't wait to go back.

I hope to travel with your company again soon.

October 2002 - The villa is a gem on the Amalfi coast.I would think there are few villas that are as charming and beautiful as this.

From gazing at the sea from your balcony to picking figs from their fig tree, the villa has much to be desired and is a perfect place for those who appreciate the history and style of Italia. It is like a gift waiting to be opened.

Unfortunately, Suite Giardino can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
