Wonderfully located

June 2016 - Casa Teide A is a wonderfully located, well appointed apartment.

Daniela and her father [the owners] were extremely helpful and kind.

Praiano is an absolute delight - quiet, beautiful and full of fantastic restaurants.

Travel tips

  • It's quite a walk but the beach clubs One Fire Beach (Gavitella Beach) and Il Pirata (Marina di Praia Beach) are both fantastic places to sunbathe.
  • The food at Il Pirata, Costa Diva and Hotel Margherita is particularly good.

Fantastic

May 2015 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Teide A. Everything went just as planned and the accommodation was as promised. Fantastic terrace to sit on, play cards, read and watch boats on the sea.

Our experience with the owners was only pleasant and they are close at hand if there are any problems (there weren't). Thanks for providing a lovely place for us to make some fantastic memories, we had a wonderful time in your home.

We have been very happy with your service and would recommend Summer In Italy to anyone planning a trip to Italy.

Travel tips

  • A great spot to stay if you are planning on hiking the Path of the Gods.
  • There is a pizzeria at the top of the stairs and right a couple hundred meters which is excellent.
  • Local bus stops at the top of the steps.

May 2015 - My husband and I loved Casa Teide A for the view, the location and Daniela [the owner] who made everything so easy for us.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets crisp and fresh. The apartment was certainly large enough and the terrace absolutely wonderful, between the lemon trees and garden plants. We loved it and will most definitely return.

We were greeted by Daniela who explained how things worked, provided maps and schedules for buses, recommended restaurants, grocery stores and sites to see. She was very knowledgeable and helpful (if you're unsure about anything Daniela is very helpful). A bowl of her wonderful lemons and fruit as well as a large bottle of water and her father's wine was also available for us. Thank you Daniela for an amazing time at your house in Praiano -we loved your gardens and terrace and apartment! Hope to see you again...

Summer In Italy web site is excellent. You were most helpful in arranging our visit and the service you provide is excellent. We have recommended your web site to friends and family. Thank you!

Travel tips

  • There are about 3 grocery stores nearby. As you exit at Hotel Margherita, you can go left or right and you will find a grocery store within walking distance.
  • If you go left, the road takes you down the hill to a main bus stop to travel to Positano or Amalfi or Sorrento.
  • Just down from the bus stop is an internet provider or phone card store where you can get bus tickets for the local bus or the one to other towns.
  • The local bus also goes to Praiano and takes you right down into the town whereas the other one leaves you on the main road and you have to walk down.
  • Not so much fun when you have to walk back up [of course, if you wish, you might consider to come back by bus :)].
  • We traveled somewhere every day: we went to Pompeii, Positano, took a boat tour to Capri (ask Daniela for a recommendation), took the bus to the top of Ravello then walked down - we ended up in Atrani, a cute town then walked through the tunnel in the mountain to Amalfi.
  • If you like to cook, don't miss the Amalfi Lemon Experience - this was our favorite! We toured the lemon grove, then cooked a full meal with the family, sitting down to eat with them: it was delicious and so much fun!
  • We walked down to the beach in Praiano and the water was clean and refreshing. If you're not wanting to tour, the terrace at your apartment is worth sitting on because the view is spectacular!
  • We ate on the top terrace of Hotel Margherita- delicious and a lovely view once again.

Fantastic

September 2014 - We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Teide A. The accommodation was clean and welcoming. The bowl of fresh local fruit particularly so.

The help from Daniela, the owner, was useful.

Would have no hesitation in recommending or returning ourselves. The location is within easy walking distance of a selection of eating places and the local well stocked supermarket.

Summer In Italy is without doubt the best holiday agency I have ever booked with. The amount of individual property information and general advice and information about the area and Italy in general is incomparable. The whole process of arranging an independent holiday is made so much easier by your web site.

Travel tips

  • We stayed in mid September and everywhere was still busy.
  • We had hire car from Naples airport and, although it made the journey from the airport easier, a car is useful at times but not essential if you are happy with the at times "interesting" local and Sita buses.
  • Parking in any of the towns along the coast is expensive and sometimes difficult to find.
  • Ravello is a must.
  • Go through Amalfi and park in Atrani, a lovely spot and a short walk back through the alleys to Amalfi.
  • Take the early local bus to Positano then the boat to Capri.
  • With a deep breath walk up behind Praiano to the Walks of the Gods and then to Nocelle, fresh orange juice by the church then down to the coast road and back on the bus.
  • The pizzeria just above the top of the steps is great.

July 2014 - Casa Teide A is a beautiful apartment.

It have everything you need. Wonderful garden and view. A perfect place to stay and use as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast.

Also, the nicest owners/hosts you could imagine, very helpful. They did everything they could, so that we could have a wonderful holiday. You couldn't ask for a better service.

Good service from Summer In Italy. Quick response to our questions, good site, good descriptions of the apartments, easy to use.

Travel tips

  • The Restaurant "Il Pirata" is worth to trying out.
  • A trip to Ravello is a must - it is a gorgeous place - as well as a day trip to Capri and the walk on "Sentiero degli Dei" (Walk of the Gods).

Very good

March 2014 - We enjoyed Casa Teide very much. I would recommend it as a place to stay.

The owner's daughter, Daniela, speaks English and she was a big help to us. She greeted us at the top of the stairs in front of the Hotel Margherita.

Travel tips

  • We hired a car/driver to take us from Naples airport and then we used the Sita bus during our stay. Car/driver was excellent, Amalfi car. Cost 90 euro.

November 2013 - What a spectacular view! A grapefruit tree in the patio, wonderful location, and fantastic hosts.

The unit is safe and clean, perfect for a couple. Easy access (as in wide, well-lighted steps) up or down to the street.

Daniela [the owner] was very welcoming, thorough and helpful.

Thank Summer In Italy for all the help! I enjoyed the personal emails and always felt like I was getting personal service. I had no questions that were not addressed. I particularly liked that the photos of the house on your website are an accurate representation of what we got when we arrived. Thank you!Travel tips

  • If you're visiting islands, be sure to check ferry schedules. Traveling on the SITA bus is easy - again check schedules.
  • If going to Positano, be careful to get off in town! We got off about 3 km before the right stop and had a nice walk. :-)
  • The restaurant at Hotel Margarita at the top of the steps is wonderful. If you can catch Vivaro Wine Bar when it is open - absolutely fantastic dining adventure.
  • Capri was a disappointment - expensive and not what I expected. Perhaps we had an off day?
  • We really enjoyed Sorrento, as well as driving all across the peninsula - but not for the faint of heart!

September 2013 - Our family stay at the beautiful Casa Teide could not have been more pleasant, the apartment was lovely and spotless clean with everything we required on hand. With 3 small children this was essential.

The owners were very friendly and could not do enough for us. Our three children loved the pool in the villa and the view was breathtaking. The gym was an added bonus though we must confess with all the steps in the town we didnt need to use it :-D The secure car park was reassuring when hiring a car.

If you are thinking of visiting the area we can not recommend the Casa Teide enough and a massive thank you to Daniela who our little boy fell in love with (he is only 5) :-)

Thanks for a lovely holiday from the Murphy Family.

Travel tips

  • The shop near by has everything you need, also very friendly staff who had great patience with our little ones.
  • The Pizza place was a pleasure to visit with the kids, one waiter in particular was great fun with the kids. The pizza place is just at the top of the steps from the apartment and turn left.

June 2013 - I absolutely LOVED being at Casa Teide. The apartment was perfect for me as I really wanted somewhere with a view, and boy does this have it! The balcony area is very spacious and has beautiful views of the coast. The whole apartment was very clean and well looked after and had a real homely feel.

The owners live above the apartment and are truly lovely people, very helpful and welcoming and always there within a minute if you need anything.

If you want a homely, comfortable apartment that promises stunning views in a friendly and peaceful environment, then look no further than Casa Teide! Thanks Daniela and family for helping to make my stay a wonderful experience :-)

April 2013 - Highly recommend this wonderful clean apartment. The photos on the website do not give it justice. The terrace and gardens are fabulous. There is secure private parking available and the family help to carry luggage down the inevitable steps. (not so many here though!)

The location is excellent. We loved staying in Praiano, it a great, quiet area and it's very easy to get to all the other towns in the Amalfi area. The view is superb. We spent a few days in Positano before moving to Praiano and preferred it here. You really feel like you are part of the community. There is a great local supermarket which stocks excellent fresh food plus a very good wine selection and good restaurants within walking distance.

This spacious apartment has everything you need for a great stay with a wonderful terrace to relax on. The family who own the apartment are super helpful, very friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We would recommend anyone to stay here. We did not want to leave.

April 2013 - We had an absolutely wonderful time. For our purposes the apartment could not have been better.

The family who run it live above the apartment and could not have been more friendly or helpful. In addition, the daughter speaks excellent English which made out stay much easier.

The 2 real highlights of our stay at Casa Teida were the stunning views which made just been there a joy and the lemons that grew on the path that led to our front door which made great salad dressing.

Friendly, helpful and prompt service. I will use you again if we plan another trip to Italy

Travel tips

  • You've got to like stairs! Other than that the local pizza place takeaway is pretty good and with a balcony like this one who needs to eat out...
