September 2015 - Casa Rica A had everything we needed. The terrace is superb and has beautiful views of Positano and the sea. It is one of the best views we've ever had!! The parking included in the rental price is really appreciable.

Warm and friendly welcome from Raffaele [the owner], very professional.

We did not know Summer In Italy and were extremely pleased with their services, and especially how quickly they answered to our questions. We will not hesitate in using them again and will recommend the company to others.

Travel tips

  • We used the local bus to the city center: 20 minutes, the stop is located a few meters away the property.
  • We recommend the small beach on the right of the main beach. It is accessible either by small boats of the restaurants, either by a small pleasant footpath. Possibility to rent umbrella and beach chair (eur 8 per person per day) and have your lunch in one of the four small restaurants next door.
  • Visit the small villages located in the area, including Ravello, well worth a look...
  • We loved Naples, very typical. Park your car in a public parking lot of the city: it costs about eur 11 for eight hours.

September 2013 - Had a fabulous time at Casa Rica. The view by day and night was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and relaxation on the terrace.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The apartment provided everything we needed.

I had several contacts with different staff from Summer in Italy and all were very helpful, extremely polite and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. This made me decide I had to book with them. I stopped looking at other websites. I will always recommend Summer in Italy and will book with them again when we plan our next trip.

Travel tips

  • The local bus stop is nearby which made it easy to travel to Positano. Check the timetable as it only goes once an hour.
  • The local village of Montepertuso has several great restaurants.
  • Recommend exploring Nocelle, Amalfi and Ravello.
  • The walk down 1200 steps to Positano is easier than you think.
  • If you want to experience life in a local village then I highly recommend Casa Rica A.

August 2013 - Casa Rica is a beautiful place to spend a vacation on the Amalfi coast. We had a great time!

Travel tips

  • We did not have a bad meal at any of the restaurants.
  • The driving is a bit tricky. The locals drive fast and it works well for them. If you're a nervous driver/passenger, use public transportation. We did ok... as they say, when in Rome....

May 2013 - I thought Casa Rica was wonderful. The host and his family were welcoming, helpful and charming but in no way intrusive. The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean and attractively furnished.

The view from the balcony was simply breathtaking. We also had the benefit of the divine fragrance of jasmine permeating through from the balcony and the fragrance of the garden flowers.

I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Rica A to anyone wishing to enjoy Italy at it's most beautiful.

I was very pleased with the service offered by Summer in Italy and will happily use them again.

Travel tips

  • You do have to be quite fit for the up and downhill walking.
  • Hire a car but drive very carefully!
  • Take a torch when you go out at night.
  • The grocery store in Montepertuso is excellent, with a splendid range of cheeses, meats and wines which the staff will help you to choose to compliment each other.
  • Ristorante il Ritrovo, a short walk up the hill from the property, is excellent, with delicious food, all cooked by Chef Salvatore. Patrick, hailing from Australia is the very charming Maitre D' and the staff are all attentive without being imposing.
  • Positano is beautiful with lots of lovely cafes and restaurants and a beautiful beach area.
  • Sorrento is very up market with lots of high range shopping.

April 2012 - We loved the view and the walk to Montepertuso was fantastic!! This was very comfortable to return to after adventures during the day.

I would book with Summer In Italy again-they were a great resource!!

Travel tips

  • We loved eating at Restaurant Il Ritrovo in Montepertusso.
  • We also enjoyed Ravello a lot. Positano was full of charm and warmth. What a beautiful country with beautiful sites.
  • Having parking was great (rare on the Amalfi Coast) and having wi-fi was an added plus.

August 2010 - We had an incredible time!! Loved this place. It was actually really nice being above the main town and looking out over it.

Very easy to cook in and prepare our own yummy meals.

We would definitely come back - I want to come back every year!!

You were very helpful and made me feel very secure and confident with the booking. Thank you.

November 2009 - We thoroughly enjoyed Casa Rica A.

Mr. Raffaele and family did everything to make our stay first rate, including helping us with a car problem.

"Summer In Italy" was very helpful in getting us connected to Mr. Raffaele on the day of our arrival.

Anyone considering a stay in Positano and who can handle a few steps up and down to the apartment, would do well to consider Casa Rica A.

Travel tips

  • Having a car here is not an advantage. The local and regional buses are more than adequate to get around.
  • There are 3 restaurants within walking distance, one of which we frequented and enjoyed greatly.
  • Access to hiking the "Path of the Gods" is only 400 meters away, this a real benefit for those on a hiking holiday.

November 2009 - Casa Rica was fabulous.

The owner, Raffaele, was so helpful. He brought the luggage down to the apartment upon our arrival and back up to the car upon our departure. He provided sweets for breakfast and a bottle of wine. He was a wonderful source of information about the area. If he had not taken his boat in, he would have taken us on several boat tours. Next time.

The terrace was magnificent. The view of Positano below and the sea beyond and the mountain behind was unsurpassable.

Access to Positano was an easy 40 minute downhill walk or a cheap 10 minute bus ride. Groceries were a ten minute walk away in Montepertuso along with church and excellent restaurants.

Don't hesitate. Book Casa Rica.

Thanks for the opportunity to have stayed in a little spot of paradise.

Travel tips

  • I wish I had done the path of the gods. Raffaele said it has been completely updated and is very safe and can be reached minutes from Casa Rica and he says the views are stupendous. Unfortunately time did not allow. Next time.

September 2009 - Casa Rica is an excellent property with stunning overlook of Positano. It is well equipped and comfortable.

Value-wise very tough to beat. We would return and have no hesitation recommending it to our friends.

Very good customer service and attention to detail. Property as described. Good prices. One of the better operators in Italy. I am a tour operator myself.

Travel tips

  • There is a supermarket 8 minutes walk away and a bus-stop outside the property.
  • You need to be able to walk the 80 steps - it wasn't a problem for us.

Unfortunately, Casa Rica A can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
