Lovely location

March 2017 - We loved staying here. Lovely location and everything just spot on. Highly recommended

We read reviews on summer in Italy and decided it suited us. Did not want package holiday and you delivered. All information given correct making it an easy stress free holiday.

Travel tips

  • Eat from the local delicatessen stores. The food is cheaper and better by far.

Wonderful spot

October 2016 - Casa Niobe is fully equipped and the views are incredible. It was a wonderful spot.

I appreciate all the information Summer In Italy sent us ahead. Everything worked out really well.

Travel tips

  • There are tons of stairs in Positano and the flat quite high, so bring your walking shoes.

Enjoyed very much

September 2016 - My boyfriend and I enjoyed Casa Niobe very much. All of the modern amenities made it feel like staying at a hotel, but with the convenience of a full kitchen and washer. The a/c definitely came in handy after those long hikes up from the beach.

I liked using Summer In Italy. Everything went very smoothly and I appreciate the welcome packet that included a lot of notes and detail about what to expect. I would definitely book again with Summer In Italy. THANKS!

Travel tips

  • Definitely take the ferry to other towns. We just went to Amalfi due to the bad weather on other days. It's beautiful and the ferry tickets are very affordable!
  • It's a long walk to the beach. Shorter if you take the stairs, but be prepared.

Fantastic, romantic apartment

September 2016 - Casa Niobe is a fantastic, romantic apartment. View unlike any other. As lively as it was in town, we found our accomodation the highlight.

Responsive owners, quick attention when we had a little problem with Internet connection. Thank you, Miss Livia.

Travel tips

  • Open the bedroom window and feel Positano's welcome.
  • Restaurant il Capitano, nearby market for fresh food.

Absolutely perfect!

August 2016 - Casa Niobe was absolutely perfect in every way and exceeded all of our expectations! The views from the private terrace were stunning and unreal! The apartment itself was extremely comfortable, clean and a great size. We could not have asked for better accommodations and will definitely stay at Casa Niobe again if we return to Positano and will recommend it to anyone traveling there!

Everything was absolutely perfect and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Everything was great! We will definitely book with Summer In Italy again in the future - extremely helpful, responsive, clear directions and instructions - PERFECT ALL AROUND!

Travel tips

  • Be prepared for a hike up the stairs but it's soooo worth it! Plus, almost everywhere you go in Positano you will be climbing stairs...

Loved it!

June 2016 - Loved it - the location was so great - up on the hill so you had a great view of the whole town, but still easy to get to the waterfront.

Travel tips

  • The best restaurant we found while we were there was also very close - just walk down the staircase about 200 steps to Restaurant Da Vincenzo. Great place.

Will return!

May 2016 - Spectacular views from the terrace every morning and evening. Casa Niobe was spotless and nicely furnished. The location was very easy to find and there was easy access to groceries and restaurants. Lots of stairs but that's what makes Positano so special. Will return.

Probably the best management company I have worked with!

Travel tips

  • There are many nice food markets the further you go up into Positano. The wine is also cheaper.
  • We found picking up pre made meals was as cheap as making meals ourselves. That surprised us.

The highest ranks from me and my husband!

May 2016 - Casa Niobe gets highest ranks from me and my husband! It was roomy, airy, light, bright, comfortable, cozy, and with amazing views from all the living area, bedroom, and terrace.

Yes, there are stairs to climb up and down to/from get town or the beach, but it's worth it... You'll see what I mean when you stay there. It's good to get away from the crowds. You can't beat it... It's a great value in a beautiful, quaint village.

The owner was right on time to meet us, and take us to the place.

Summer In Italy's service is outstanding! Very helpful with quick replies to any questions I asked, and very helpful with information.

Excellent

October 2015 - Beautiful location overlooking the beach at Positano. We had a wonderful 5 days here and had both adventures roaming the town as well and just hanging out on the terrace watching the changing light of the days and nights.

Thanks so much for offering your house to rent short term.

Travel tips

  • Once you get used to the steep streets and lots of stairs of Positano, the 20 or so steps to get to the house will not be an issue.
  • We parked our car down at the bottom of the hill for the week, there are 3 different garages, all the same price, but try and bargain.
  • Every day the veggie vendor parks his truck midway down the one way street, so you can get fresh produce.
  • Positano is a beautiful town, walk around and check everything out, no bad views, the people are super friendly and lots to eat and shop and just relax...
  • I would suggest having at least one meal at Ristorante Buca di Bacco, the octopus appetizer is fantastic. They also have a cooking class.
  • We took the bus to Ravello which was fun and did some shopping and sightseeing in Amalfi.
  • Don't drive once you've parked your car, use the bus, easier and more relaxing.

Fantastic

September 2015 - What a great place to stay!

High up on the hill at the top of Positano with stunning views over the village, Spiaggia Grande and the sea. Clean and well equipped for self catering, all modern appliances and bathroom.

Highly recommended!

Great service from Summer In Italy, good level of communication.

Travel tips

  • 5 minute walk to shops at top of Via Pasitea near Bar International for food and supplies as well as bus stop.
  • It's a long way up from the beach but worth it for the views and its quiet location. It's a pleasant stroll up via the road or take on the stairs for the quick route!

Fantastic

August 2015 - Stayed at casa Niobe with my wife and our 3 years old daughter and absolutely loved it. Unbelievable views from balcony, living room, kitchen and main bedroom that take your breath away every time.

If you don't know Positano - there are a lot of stairs, take your time and take in the sights on the way up and down.

Great hosts, nice and friendly.

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Da Vincenzo, halfway down the stairs to the beach: amazing food and service.

Fantastic

June 2015 - We have just returned to Australia following our ten week vacation in Europe, 12 days of which were spent at Casa Niobe in Positano, booked through Summer In Italy. I felt it appropriate to give you some feedback on the Casa Niobe as it has only recently been opened for guests.

The house is just 45 steps down the street level, right at the top of the western side of Positano with an unparalleled view over the town, the main beach and the water. It gets morning sun which makes breakfast on the ample balcony a dream event. There is plenty of room and the appointments are excellent, especially the bathroom which has new fixtures and fittings and the kitchen/laundry which is well equipped. The bed is good, the storage ample, and the double glazed windows keep out the noise of town revellers or allow ventilation should that be a preference. Clean, tidy and well situated this apartment is a prize.

New to apartment ownership, Livia is a delight. She tries hard with English and is only too willing to go out of her way to help guests. In response, we were only too happy to buy a few essentials like a sharp vegetable knife and a good coffee maker to add to the apartment amenities. Likewise, we left a few essentials like salt, pepper and olive oil for new guests, just to get them going. However, Franco’s store is only up the road from the top of the steps and he has every consumable item you could possibly want by way of food and drink, household products and the like.

Summer In Italy are reliable and, from our single experience, appear to have good properties at reasonable rates. The booking experience was personalized and responsive to our requirements.

Travel tips

  • Be sure to call the owner while on your way to the property, this may save you several steps while you locate the apartment.

Excellent

May 2015 - What a lovely place Casa Niobe!

It doesn't happen often, but we found the place to be even nicer than we thought it would be! It's location is excellent (but note that walking in Positano is the way to move around), the view was astonishing and the apartment lovely and quirky.

We could not ask for more especially that the hosts are lovely people who made our stay very comfortable indeed.

Positano is a place we would like to go back to in the future and Casa Niobe will be our first choice!

Unfortunately, Casa Niobe can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
