Very good

May 2012 - A clean, spacious and generally well equipped apartment (apart from kitchen which was basic).

Beautiful gardens which we were lucky to have to ourselves the whole holiday.

You provide a very good, helpful and informative service .We would definitely use you again.

Travel tips

  • It was nice to be a little way out of Sorrento, which is very busy.
  • Regular buses run into town every 20 mins, and in the opposite direction is the lovely little town of Massa Lubrense where we found lovely walks and villages off the beaten track (visit tourist office there first).
  • Amalfi coast is a must but get an early morning bus from station to avoid long queues.
  • Capri beautiful but over rated and expensive. Take the ferry rather than an expensive boat excursion!
  • Pompei fantastic. We clubbed together with 10 others to hire a tour guide which was well worth it.
  • Lovely family run restaurant next to apartment and well stocked shop on corner.
  • We had a fantastic holiday and could easily have stayed indefinitely!

July 2011 - It's an excellent location, better then the presentation on the web site. A perfect place for people who enjoy self catering tourism mode. Very well equipped. Nice family very helpful.

Travel tips

  • The fish store (Pescheria) is 10 0m in front of Sorrento Hospital.
  • A nice beach is Puolo Beach (to the end after the wall).

June 2011 - An excellent choice for a couple/small family touring the Sorrento peninsula.

Location - on the outskirts of Sorrento - provides easy access anywhere without the turmoil of the busy town. The adjacent bus station helps in getting transportation without looking hours for parking.

Overall - above average. Privacy and tranquility are kept at all times. The kitchen is the only real culprit preventing an excellent overall rating.

The hostess, Ms. Miriam, is a lovely smiling person providing any help needed and her approach and liveliness is highly liked!

Travel tips

  • Highly recommended. Do not hesitate!

April 2010 - Casa Miriam was very spacious and very clean, and there was a very warm welcome.

I think that Summer in Italy were extremely helpful and communicated with us extremely promptly and far more than any other company I have used to arrange holidays.

Travel tips

  • Driving and parking is a nightmare in this part of Italy - would not recommend hiring a car. Everywhere was incredibly busy even in April.
  • The area is nice with plenty to see - Vesuvius, Pompei and Ercolano are really good and well worth a visit but we were a little disappointed that it was really difficult to walk out into the countryside and walking on the road was definitely not an option!

October 2007 - Private and spacious with garden and barbecue.

Very helpful owner. Basic furnishings. Small shower stall. Adequate bathroom.

Good value.

Heard of you from a fellow traveller on the train to Sorrento and appreciated your immediate assistance and helpful response.

Travel tips

  • Owner will offer use of her cell phone, but if she is not there no other phone is available in the neighborhood [this is becoming very Italian... as even 10-year-olds tend to have their own mobiles, priced at less than 50 euro, the number of public phones is dropping...]
  • Bus stop a few feet away.

September 2006 - The apartment was very spacious and the air-con was a great idea. Even though it is on a main road it is very quiet.

There is plenty of equipment in the kitchen to use and the setting in the gardens was very nice. I would recommend it.

Keep up the good work. Your service was superb from the moment I booked the holiday. I found you via a search engine on the internet and your site was very informative and easy to navigate.

Travel tips

  • Get to the know the bus times quickly, you have to get the bus to & from the centre.
  • Try to buy a weekly bus ticket too if staying for a week as buying single tickets can be costly.
  • Da Gigino restaurant is very good in the centre.
  • Pompeii is a good day out - take the train as it is very cheap.

October 2004 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Miriam A. The only negative feature was its location on a busy street across from a gas station. It was very convenient to the bus stop which we used every day.

It was also nice to have a small market around the corner and a great pizza restaurant next door.

The apartment was clean and spacious and very well equiped except that the kitchen was a little small, but we weren't there to cook.

A beautiful apartment and a convenient location.

Our experience was very positive. We liked the fact that we were able to pay in advance and not have to carry lots of Euros (as we had to do in other apartments we rented). We will definitely book with Summer in Italy if we ever get the opportunity to return to Italy. Thank you.
