October 2013 - Casa Mariabetta B was magnificent.

Mr. Sebastiano and his family could not be more helpful. He showed us how to walk to the beach and the bus stop to go to Taormina from the apartment. He also showed us how to get to the town of Letojanni and where the food market was.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariabetta B very much. We would highly recommend it. The apartment was immaculate and airy. It has everything you need. The rooms are large and comfortable. It has a washing machine, iron, hair dryer, and air conditioning. The balcony is large enough to sit out and admire the view of the back yard filled with fruit trees and flowers and of Taormina in the distance. There is a train that goes by not far behind the house, but never did I lose one minute of sleep because of it.

We loved staying at Casa Mariabetta B. It was a wonderful experience and I would never hesitate to stay at a Summer in Italy if we were lucky enough to visit Italy again. I would definately recommend it to our friends and family. Our travel agent recommended it. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • A beach which was almost like a private beach was across the street from the apartment (very convenient).
  • We rented a car to go to different parts of Sicily, but you could take the local bus which is in walking distance to go to the town of Letojanni or to Taormina (you would not want to drive to Taormina with the steep and winding roads).
  • Mr. Sebastiano recommended a number of restaurants, one being restaurant Flamingo, in town, a wonderful choice. It has good food and a good view of the ocean. The next day we sat on their beach and had the best pizza in Italy.
  • We enjoyed the small town of Letojanni with its beautiful church and people.
  • We went to Taormina a number of times during our stay, its a piece of heaven.
