July 2019 - We loved Casa Livio A. It is a home away from home. Just the feeling you get when you drive through the automated gates onto the property, you immediately feel like it is going to be a great vacation.

Our apartment was nice, very Italian and we loved that. The apartment had most of what we needed and it was very clean. We appreciate how clean it was and the bedding was lovely too. The beds are more firm than what we are used to, but we slept well.

The grounds are nice and there is space to move around and relax. The pool is a dream. We could have just spent everyday by the pool. It is beautiful.

There were three other apartments with guests, but to be honest, we got along with everyone and enjoyed time by the pool all together.

We had a great vacation and are so grateful for how welcome we were made to feel. We also loved the truly authentic Italian feeling of the location and apartment. It was a great stay. Thank you.

Our host was so friendly and very helpful. If we needed anything, he would provide it. We felt like a part of a family there. We loved your property. Our daughter loved it too. Thank you so much for the lovely stay, the lovely Italian dinner, the lovely home and your hospitality. It was hard to leave.

Travel tips

  • We had a dinner in Camucia di Cortona our first night and on other occasion. Pizzeria San Lazzaro was quite good. We enjoyed it and the atmosphere. It was nice to sit outside. We also liked Restaurant Antica Trattoria.
  • We recommend going shopping at the Valdichiana Outlet Village not to far from Cortona, it was worth the 20 minute drive.
  • Day trips with a car are very easy to drive to. Our favorites sites are Cortona, Montepulciano and Castiglione del Lago. They are beautiful towns to visit filled with history (and Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed in Cortona! :))
  • In Castiglione del Lago we sat at a small lovely wine-bar / small finger food restaurant called L'Angolo del Buongustaio that was absolutely delicious. Try the wine as well.

August 2014 - Enjoyed staying at Casa Livio A.

Nice place and good location for day trips to many beautiful towns on the hills. It's a very good base if you want to explore the Southern Tuscany.

Although there are different groups staying in the same complex, they don't actually disturb because everybody has its own corner with terrace. Unless, some people want to listen to music too loud in the evening...

Overall, place is nice, clean, friendly atmosphere, the price is quite affordable.

Support by the owner is quick and professional.

Travel tips

  • Read through the manual you get when you decide to rent the place.
  • Final cleaning and tourist tax are not included in the rental price, so bring some cash with you.

June 2012 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Livio very much. The apartment was very well equipped and suited our family very well, and many hours were spent in the pool!

We also enjoyed the surrounding countryside of the village and the close proximity to Cortona, which made that you could visit there frequently for short times and not just for a day trip only. Also the location of the apartment in relation to other sights, such as Val d'Orcia, Perugia, Siena, etc was excellent.

Unfortunately, Casa Livio A can not be booked at this time.
