September 2013 - Our host who lived on the property was wonderfully accommodating and always helpful. She booked a lunch at a farm restaurant which was to be one of our outstanding cultural experiences, introducing us to the food of the region. Not to be missed.

The location while not in a big town, is central to all the Tuscan must see villages as long as you have a car.

Travel tips

  • Try to get to see the small local villages and a trip to the top of the hill above the casa, by car, is well worth the narrow roads.
  • Don't be put off by the eroded landscape -- it grows on you.
  • Always travel on the minor roads, that's where the memorable experiences are to be had.
