A fantastic little place

May 2023 - A fantastic little place, the photos don't do it justice as they don't show the setting. There is a fabulous dining room where breakfast was served and an amazing shared terrace, although it rained when we were there.

Travel tips

  • It is worth noting the number of steps which is mentioned on the website, there are porters available but if you want to carry your own stuff a rucksack is handy.
  • We walked the path of the Gods from Nocelle, if you are reasonably fit you can go there and back in a day. We left really early 7 am which meant that we didn't meet other people until about 9 am which was great, otherwise it would have lost some of it's atmosphere. If you don't walk back there is a bus from the end to Amalfi then a bus or boat back to Positano. We made a day of it in Amalfi which made it less of a chore. The path of the Gods took us about 2 and a half hours.
  • There is a little shop and she does sell most things for a basic cook up. The lemon stall in the car park is really helpful and he sells great lemon Peroni.
  • The bus down to Positano gets very very crowded. Try to get on it in Positano at the earliest possible stop to get a seat.
  • We didn't walk down to Positano but we did walk up stopping for a beer at the town three quarters of the way up. The worst bit is the road from that town which doesn't have a path so watch out for the bus whizzing up and down.
  • The little flat is really well equipped and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the Astroturf, paving would be better in my mind but then I hate Astroturf.
  • The breakfast is fabulous, really extensive.
