October 2013 - We'd really recommend Casa Giorgina B - it was such a peaceful haven to return to after a hectic day of adventure on the local bus.

The house itself was much bigger than we expected from the photos and the garden is much more mature than when photos were taken. We loved the different nooks in the garden which were just right for the lone reader with a book and glass of wine. The mossies were bit of problem after 4p.m. though and when we wanted to watch the sun set over Capri. What a lovely view we had from every window in the house.

The house had absolutely everything one could need - you wouldn't even need to pack a needle and thread!

Its location was ideal too being only 20 steps from street with shop, bank, tourist info and bus stop - very easy compared with those we met who had to negotiate up to 300 steps after dinner or a day out.

I found you all very helpful and appreciated all the advice you gave while searching for house and your answers to my queries before we went. We hadn't gone on an Italian holiday like this before, so you made it all very easy. So much better than a package holiday - we couldn't compare our accommodation to what we'd get in a brochure! Our was fabulous.

May 2012 - Casa Giorgina B far exceeded our expectations and the photos on the web site.

We loved the location near the coastal road and all the shops and restaurants. The walk up to town was easy and being below the road, we never had any traffic noise. Praiano was an ideal location, between the tourist meccas of Positano and Amalfi. Restaurant Il Pino was one of the best restaurants ever in Italy and only a 10 minute walk!

The owner was charming and responsive to any thing we needed. She arranged for Federico to carry our luggage on arrival and departure!

We made breakfast everyday and either lunch or dinner in the villa. The kitchen was perfect and the local grocery, butcher, fishmonger were great.

Summer in Italy is a great web site and a great company! If only your photos showed how truly beautiful the property was!

Thank you so much for such a great compliment! Isn't it amazing, for a change, to find that reality is better of what is shown in the pictures? :-)

Travel tips

  • We went in the spring and the weather was perfect.
  • Never had any problem getting the Sita bus or the local bus to Positano or Amalfi. Having a car would have been a huge liability!
  • Tour of Italy picked us up and returned us to Napoli, taking public transportation would have been a nightmare! They also took us for a day in Avellino to buy wine and a day to Pompeii and Herculaneum. I can't imagine a better way to go and avoid all the stress of a bus tour!

October 2011 - I'm so glad I chose this house in Praiano. It was a large and spacious house but the best bit had to be the terrace and gardens and the fantastic view.

The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The lounge had plenty of seating, Sky tv and wide range of books and magazines. The bedroom was very large with plenty of wardrobe space and also had air con which came in useful at night. We spent most of our time on terrace - either having breakfast, reading during the day or eating a simple candlelit meal in the evening. The house was decorated with lots of personal items which really made the house feel welcoming - so much better than an anonymous hotel room.

I would definitely recommend the Casa Giorgina B to anybody considering Praiano.

Everything went extremely smoothly and I enjoyed reading Luca's advice on the intricacies of renting a house in Italy. We had no problems at all whilst in Italy so had no need to contact anybody at the office. Everything was very well organised right from the original booking and I felt that the descriptions on the website were very accurate. I will definitely use Summer in Italy again and would be very happy to recommend them.

Travel tips

  • The only advice I would give is regarding the Sita buses. If you are planning a trip out on these make sure you have the Sita timetable with you. The buses are not very frequent and if you do not arrive at the bus stop early you will find a large crowd of people already waiting there. When the bus arrives there will be no seats available and a large number of people standing in the aisle. On all our bus trips we only got a seat once which we then gave to a lady with a baby. If you are standing you do not get a very good view of the road - but maybe this is a good thing!

September 2011 - A lovely apartment. Very spacious, well furnished and well equipped.

Although only the bedroom in Casa Georgina B has air conditioning, the thick walls and design of the property meant that the remaining rooms were still very comfortable - even in mid 30 degree temperatures.

It was lovely to be able to enjoy the garden (only accessible from apartment B).

The overall location was excellent - very quiet and peaceful yet fairly close to shops and restaurants and not too many steps to climb from the main road.

We were very impressed with the help, advice and support we received from Summer in Italy - thank you very much.

Travel tips

  • We wouldn't recommend hiring a car. The coastal road is extremely narrow and fairly hair-raising and there are few places to park (those that exist tend to be very expensive). Public transport is great.
  • We also Amalficar Taxis (see Summer in Italy link - really good for airport transfers).

August 2011 - Casa Giorgina is in a really nice, quiet village, Praiano, which still has easy access to Sorrento and Amalfi when you need a bigger place to visit. The peace is wonderful and the view stunning.

The people are super friendly and the gardens are fantastic to relax in.

We are very happy both with the apartment and with the booking service through Summer in Italy. When we next take a vacation in Italy we will be sure to return to your web site.

Travel tips

  • Transportation is no problem as the buses to Amalfi and Sorrento stop in the village - do not bring a car.
  • You can get boats from Praiano to Capri and other places as well very easily and it is a great day trip.

Unfortunately, Casa Giorgina B can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
