A lovely stay with our little ones

August 2017 - Loved our stay there - the bus stop right outside the door was a fantastic as we had little ones with us.

Loved the tea, coffee, milk, croissants etc that was provided for us.

Owners were very accommodating with our later than expected arrival with the owners mum on hand to let us in and ensure we were comfortable.

Summer in Italy have been great - its the 2nd time we've used them and will recommend to anyone. Prompt and good with info at each question we posed.

Travel tips

  • The convenience of the bus enabled us to go in both directions from the apartment to the beach.
  • We loved going up the road to the top and got off at the shop and walked down - lots of shops and restaurants on that route.

Fabulous!

April 2017 - This home is FABULOUS.

The owners son and sister could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were a delight! The owners son even parked my car for me and carried the luggage to the apartment. They run their mother's shop in Positano and it is a MUST for great Italian ceramics and artworks.

The bus stop to Positano is actually right outside the door.

The house was immaculate and well equipped in kitchen and both bathrooms. There are 3 small but well supplied markets a short walk away. They even deliver your purchased goods and speak English VERY well.

I would recommend this property to everyone and Summer in Italy is a wonderful company to deal with... very attentive and very helpful.

Travel tips

  • From Amalfi take the bus to Ravello
  • From Positano the boat trip to Capri is wonderful.
  • I would recommend Restaurant Le Tre Sorrelle and Restaurant Mediterraneo for WONDERFUL seafood meals!
  • We LOVE the area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

June 2016 - We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa Corinna B, a lovely two bed apartment ideal for two couples with a bus stop directly outside and only a 10 minute walk down the hill to the bars, cafes, shops and beach.

Travel tips

  • There are lots of places to visit and walks you can do in the area.
  • Using the buses is a great and cheap way to get around even if you have to stand it's fine.
  • We caught the bus from Positano to Amalfi and then another bus to Bomerano and from there we walked back along the coast (the Path of the Gods) to Positano. The views were stunning. The boat trips are great too. We went to the island of Capri and went on the chair lift in Anacapri: the views from the top were breathtaking.
  • There is one particular family run restaurant we recommend not sure of the name but they have tables outside along the pavement as you walk down the hill before you get to the main bars and restaurants.
  • The music bar is great too.

It was perfect

May 2016 - Enjoyed, it was perfect.

Travel tips

  • Make sure you have a small car, Fiat 500L will fit perfectly the parking.
  • Ask to the owner for the parking in front of the neighbor gate, it will be easier for you to enter / go out.
  • Hot water - the heating water system is operated by gas, if there is no hot water, than the gas tank is empty, contact the owner.

June 2014 - Casa Corinna B was fine, we had 2 adults and 3 kids in our party and it met our needs quite well.

It was in a great location to walk to town and the beach. The flat is located on the mostly residential side of town, very utilitarian with groceries near by. The road was very busy and could be a bit of a challenge to walk along especially at night but the bus stop was right outside our door! Catching the bus back to Sorrento was also very convenient.

Summer In Italy was fantastic and I would recommend you to anyone who is looking for a rental. Customer service is impeccable and communication was easy and immediate. Thanks for you help!

June 2014 - Excellent stay at Casa Corinna B! 6 of us had a wonderful time here.

Booking this place was a breeze. The apartment was clean, well kept and self sufficient.

The owner is helpful whenever we asked for directions. Thanks for keeping the place clean and homely!

Booking is a breeze, everyone is incredibly helpful with all my questions - Luca, Andrea, Valeria - many thanks. Really appreciate your promptness in responding and being so helpful. Excellent service resulting in our excellent stay! Thanks!

Travel tips

  • Bus stop just at the door step is super convenient.
  • Parking can be a bit tight if you are driving a big car (station wagon or similar).

Very good

September 2012 - We had a lovely stay at Corinna B.

Only thing it is very noisy with the busy traffic passing below. We certainly needed the bedroom window closed and sometimes the terrace as well.

Travel tips

  • Need to be careful walking down to the centre as there aren't footpaths for quite a while.
  • Great alimentari (grocery store) not far away who deliver.

Very good

May 2012 - We had a wonderful time at Casa Corinna B.

Our host was so friendly and helpful.

We found the local shop keepers helpful and generous and very patient with our lack of Italian.

The apartment was very good with all that was needed for our stay being comfortable and reasonably well equipped with cooking equipment.

The roads are a nightmare but public transport was inexpensive and regular.

Your service was excellent, we will be looking first on your website for future Italian holidays. A great week thank you.

Travel tips

  • Bring layers of clothing. Although sunny, the evenings were cold in May.
  • Best food shop Eurofrutti 2000 - just a couple of hundred metres down the hill -- wonderful service and food and wine that was fresh, inexpensive and tasty.
  • Restaurant Scirocco in Montepertuso wit ha pick up and drop off service was absolutely fabulous.

February 2012 - We found the apartment very comfortable and the facilities just fine. Excellent bathrooms. Having a parking spot was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

You made the process very easy for us, from booking through to payment. We ended up looking at the same apartment through 2 different companies: it was Summer in Italy who provided the most complete and quickest responses to our queries, and also had the best rate. You also provided good service as we asked other questions preparing to leave home. I'd have no hesitation recommending your services or using you again.

Travel tips

  • We enjoyed exploring Nocelle and walking down from Montepertuso. We also enjoyed driving to Punta Campanella, the far west point, beyond Sorrento, and hiking along the path to the coast on the Bay of Naples. Spent other days exploring the various towns on the Amalfi coast.
  • People were very welcoming and helpful, especially in the grocery (food) stores.

October 2011 - We enjoyed Casa Corinna B very much. The villa is very well equipped and is very clean and private. It is up one set of steep steps from the road. As is the case everywhere in Positano everything is either up or down the road or steps. It is very handy for using the little local bus to reach the lower town and beach.

It was very clean and well appointed. Our hostess was very helpful and kindly provided breakfast goods.

We enjoyed our stay and were well prepared on arrival thanks to the information you sent us.

Travel tips

  • The little local bus has a stop directly in front of the Villa and is the way to get around. We parked our car in the garage and didn't use it for a week. If you have a car it must be a relatively small one as the garage is very narrow. The same bus stop can be used for many out of town day trips.

June 2011 - Casa Corinna is fantastic. My husband and two grown children and I stayed for a week.

Rosita and Glauco, the two owners, were wonderful. They were very concerned about our comfort and that we enjoy our stay. They were very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and how to get around.

We prepared a couple of meals and all breakfasts in our Casa and found we had everything we needed. The patio is lovely to sit on or just watch the local life go by. The doors to the patio are super so the road noise was cut to a minimum. The AC worked well and kept us comfortable.

Travel tips

  • Get the local bus schedule right away so that you can walk down to the beach and take the bus back.
  • There are a lot of stairs on the trip to the shops and beach, but get your Italian on and do the walk. It is just another part of local life.

May 2011 - We had a great time at Casa Corinna. We would have liked to have a better view of the sea but still liked what the terrace offered.

Would use you again. You were great!

Travel tips

  • Be sure you are aware that there are a lot of stairs in Positano. One of the great aspects of the casa is that the town bus stops right at the front door so there is an alternative to walking back and forth.
  • Be very careful while walking on the street outside the casa if you want to go to the market up the street (the market is wonderful -- they even got us a hair dyer when ours broke). There are no sidewalks and the cars and motorcycles go extremely fast around the curves.
  • Many of the restaurants that are on the mountain side will send a car to pick you up for dinner.
  • Be sure you fully understand how to operate the washer. It's very different than what Americans are used to and because there is no dryer (and especially when it rains), it takes a long time to dry towels and clothes.
  • We ate at a fabulous Michelin rated restaurant (wish I could remember the name) which is on the main stair-walk down to the beach. It's part of a hotel and is one of the best places we ate at in all of Italy. Treat yourself!

September 2010 - I thought Casa Corinna B was brilliant! everything they said it would be! I loved the location because it was far enough away for quiet and feeling like a local resident, yet close enough for a lovely walk to the beach which i looked forward to every morning!

The villa was beautiful, clean, AC was great when I wanted it, bathrooms were awesome! Kitchen fantastic! The terrace was great to sit and have a glass of wine day or night or coffee in the morning!

Rosita [the owner] was sooo very helpful and at beck and call if needed.

Casa Corinna really was the highlight of my vacation, I can't wait to return!

Keep up the great work. Everything I was promised was done and more! And you were so punctual! Thank you for a great vacation!

Travel tips

  • The bus (although I walked everywhere) stops directly in front of the house so it's incredibly easy if you don't want to walk.
  • There is a market just down the street and they had everything! I bought my milk and eggs, and yogurt and wine! There all at the same time! And they would always tell me if they had something new and fresh and the produce was same owner across the street!
  • Go to Fornillo beach where Il Pupetto is, it's a quieter beach but the water is amazing and the food at the beach bar was amazing! The walk there is also really special, very high up and looks over everything!
  • Try to take a walk to 2 of the fancy hotels, Sirenuse and Poseidon and have a drink poolside, they have incredible views! And you don't have to be staying there to enjoy them!
  • Right on the beach is Hotel Covo dei Saraceni and their dinner is really amazing, they also have best gelato in world!

March 2010 - We certainly enjoyed our stay at Casa Corinna B. The location was excellent and provided easy access to all of the Amalfi Coast.

We were also very pleased with the owners of the property. They have made sure that the apartment in general and the kitchen in particular, is well supplied with appropriate equipment, dishes etc. Rosita and Giovanni was always very helpful and attentive to our needs.

We were very pleased with the overall service provided by Summer in Italy.

Travel tips

  • Be sure to hire a small sized car as the garage is a challenge to enter and exit!

October 2009 - We loved our stay at Casa Corinna B, felt at home immediately, and Mrs. Giovanna was a very gracious host. Upon arrival, there were some breakfast items ready for us in the kitchen (which were greatly appreciated due to our late arrival), and the accommodations were very comfortable.

I would recommend highly to anyone who wants to stay in Positano with comfort, great space and terrace, without the high hotel prices.

Would book again, thank you!

Travel tips

  • It is a short 10 minute walk to restaurants and shopping in Positano, but be aware that you walk down a very curvy hillside road. It is safe, with a major wall between you and the valley (nothing between you and traffic), but it is something to be aware of if you are afraid of heights or traffic.

April 2009 - It was a wonderful villa and I would definitely stay there again.

The view was fantastic and we loved to have drinks on the balcony in the afternoon.

I loved the style of the villa as it looked very Italian and we were very comfortable and felt right at home.

It was great having 2 bathrooms for our family and the kitchen was very well equipped. There was plenty of room and storage space and having a car space although small was a big plus!!

Rosita was a wonderful host -- always available and we were provided with breakfast food items/coffee and tea on our arrival which was very welcoming. She also organised a dinner at a restaurant on our last night and transport was provided which was fantastic.

Thank you Summer in Italy for your fantastic website. We will definitely book with you again and I will have no problem's telling all our friends what a wonderful experience it was with you. I love all the newsletters too -Thanks!!

September 2008 - We enjoyed the apartment very much! We had fun cooking in the kitchen and the rooms were great! The only thing we missed was a DVD player. Also, may be impossible, but Internet service on site would have made it perfect.

The onsite manager, Mrs Giovanna, was consistently very helpful, always willing to assist.

We will be recommending you to our friends for sure!

I was very pleased with the personal attention to detail we received from company representatives leading up to our stay - lots of great info.

July 2008 - Casa Corinna provides a high standard of accommodation for any one who stays there.

It was very clean (the cleanest we have ever experienced on arrival) spacious & tastefully decorated.

It was in a good location in Positano as the bus passed literally by the door! (Very necessary in Positano!)

Rosita, the owner, was an extremely helpful & gracious hostess & supplied some delicious home grown fruit from her garden on a number of occasions! She helped to make the holiday just a little more pleasant!

The apartment was cleaned/bed linen changed etc once a week; the area was relatively quiet (some firework displays!) and was very safe.

The bedrooms were large & airy, the air conditioning worked well and all the furniture was comfortable.

Did we enjoy the apartment? Definitely!

Thanks to yourselves also in "Summer In Italy". You were very prompt in answering any queries that I had & effective in ensuring that any requests were dealt with in a friendly & efficient manner. Next time we go to Italy...!!

Thanks again for everything!

Travel tips

  • Most important 'tip' would definitely be to consider whether you need a car in Positano or not - the car park space at Casa Corinna has to be experienced to be believed! Our car was quite large (Chrysler Voyager) as there was 6 of us staying at the apartment but the car park resembled a 'cave' in the side of the mountain, approximately 3 inches wider than the car itself and had to be reversed into across the (small) road of traffic coming both ways...! It is of course very possible and we managed every time (we nearly had it down to a military operation!) without a scratch but it is worth considering! Or get a SMALL car!
  • The bus system is regular & efficient. However, the bus only goes so far in to the town & walking to the beach is a considerable trek down steps/hills - and that's not as bad as coming back up in the evening! Again something to consider, but that's Positano!

May 2008 - We absolutely loved Casa Corinna B and our host was wonderful. We could easily walk down into town, to the grocery store or we could catch the bus right

The apartment was decorated beautifully and was well stocked with kitchen equipment.

Our host brought us some wonderful oranges from her garden. These were the best oranges we had every had.

I am really glad I had found Summer in Italy website. I will be recommending this site to all of my friends who are wanting to travel to Positano for a vacation.

Travel tips

  • The store is about a 3 minute walk down the hill and around the corner. The people at the store were wonderful and very kind. And the owner's father ran the produce stand across the street. We preferred to shop at their store instead of the one in town.
  • The bus stop was right outside the apartment.

October 2007 - We were a group of five people with different needs; however, we all enjoyed the location of Casa Corinna B. We soon found ourselves walking all around Positano.

We found a delightful grocery store just about a mile down from our Casa Corinna B apartment. The store had all that we needed to make our stay that much more enjoyable.

Please offer the owner a great round of applause from all of us, as she was very warm and a great host.

We all appreciated the earlier recommendations presented to us from Summer In Italy emails. The fall price helped us pick Casa Corinna B for our second week stay in Italy and found it to be our best decision.

Yes, we will recommend Casa Corinna B or our friends. The unit was presented very clean and well equipped. Thank you.

June 2007 - Corinna B was THE perfect place for our vacation.

Although it was a little further from town than we originally thought, it was no problem (once we got used to sharing the road with the traffic!). Walking the road, using "the big steps" to town (just past the local deli as you head towards town -- look for the "spiaggia" sign) and saying "Ciao" as we passed residents made us feel like locals. And if you get tired of the walk the bus (Interno & Sita) stop right at your front door!

Mrs. Giovanna, the landlord, is a delight and made us feel like the place was our home.

If you want something more than the typical hotel vacation, Casa Corinna B is the place!

This was my first experience renting a vacation spot online. Working with Summer in Italy was a delight! I choose Summer in Italy because of the quality and ease of your website and the quick and friendly response of the staff.

The amount of detailed information was impressive.... even down to how to ask for the correct bus stop... in Italian! January 2007 - Casa Corinna was the perfect place to go for a relaxing, romantic getaway!

We were pleasantly pleased with the accommodations. The family was more than helpful, welcoming and overly generous; there were bottles of wine and fresh fruit waiting for us upon our arrival.

The casa is clean, brand new and convenient to all the sights. The bus stops right at the apartment so if walking is not your desire you are right on the transportation line.

The Amalfi coast is by far the best vacation I have ever been on with it's beauty and authentic Italian lifestyle. Casa Corinna just made it over the top!!

Your service is top notch! Thanks for making our holiday so wonderful!! Your website is easy to read, the pictures are great and the communication was perfect!

Travel tips

  • Be sure to call the owners from Sorrento ahead of time to make sure you know exactly which stop to get off on. They will actually meet you at the bus stop.
  • Be sure to shop at the local market for fresh ideas on cooking genuine Italian meals.

Unfortunately, Casa Corinna B can not be booked at this time.
