We love it!

June 2018 - This is our second stay at Casa Corinna A, we love it! Beautiful, very clean with all the comforts of home. Very good value for money. Best accommodation we have stayed in. Would highly recommend it!

Summer In Italy is the easiest and most efficient booking company I have ever used. I used it 2 yrs ago and again recently, fast replies.

Enjoyed our stay

September 2016 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Corinna A. The space was good. Very clean and well kept. The only down side to this place is the location right next to a very busy street. The traffic noise was at times too much to enjoy the outdoor patio. The people were very accommodating. It is also a good hike down to the main town, which did not bother us.

November 2015 - Casa Corinna A is a lovely apartment, had everything we required. Bus stop right outside our door. Safe and secure.

The owners were very helpful and we send our thanks.

Was searching the net for a place to stay in Italy and found your website: easy to use and full of information.

September 2015 - Casa Corinna A is clean and there was enough space for 4 people. The location and the walk down to the beach is a bit intimidating. Traffic is very intense and I didn't feel safe to walk down along the main road.

May 2015 - Casa Corinna A is a very atmospheric place to stay. The apartment is alongside a street with sometimes much traffic, but it is an attraction itself to see how the traffic moves in such small streets. When the windows are closed the noise of the traffic is not an issue. The parking space is in a garage, it takes a little skill to park in it, but with our FIAT 500L we managed. Just do as the Italians and take your time and someone can stop the traffic for you to park.

The owner is very kind.

December 2014 - We loved staying at Casa Corinna A, a lovely apartment with everything we needed.

The deck looked right over town to the sea. The bus stop right outside made it easy to get back up from the bottom of town if you didn't want to walk. There was also a fabulous shop within walking distance to get any food to cook. Loved Positano and this was the perfect place to stay.

Summer In Italy provides an easy means to book accommodation and is very responsive with information, highly recommend.

September 2014 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Corinna A.

We were two couples who stayed there. The view was nice and the proximity to the town was good. We were extremely thankful there was parking as Positano is extremely challenged by parking. While it was great to have a bus stop right in front of the house at night it was a little noisy.

The young woman who met us there was very helpful.

Love Summer In Italy newsletter. It proved to be very helpful to us.

Travel tips

  • Positano is a beautiful town with breathtaking views.
  • The town was great but you need to be in good shape. If walking or taking stairs is tough for you Positano will be a challenge. Thankfully we were in reasonably good shape and the walking and climbing helped burn the extra calories of all the pasta.
  • Recommend a private boat tour of Capri. It was a favorite of ours on this holiday.

June 2014 - Fantastic stay at Casa Corinna A.

If we will come back to Positano we will not stay anywhere else. Really good value for money too.

Summer in Italy is a great site, I will use you guys again in future.

Travel tips

  • Get the bus time table from the town center to avoid waiting for buses for a long time.
  • Take the Nocelle bus to explore Nocelle - lovely village with great restaurants.

June 2014 - This was our third visit at Casa Corinna, and each time we have enjoyed it.

The location is very good with the local and Sita bus stops at the front door. However due to increased traffic we found it a little noisy.

We have found Summer In Italy excellent with all our dealings with them over the years and have informed many of our friend of their excellent service. Thanks to Luca and the team.

Travel tips

  • A trip to Nocelle by the local bus is worth it.
  • The fruit and supermarket is about 200 meters down the road.
  • If going anywhere (Amalfi or Sorrento) by the Sita bus, catch it before 9 am due to cruise boat crowds.

Fantastic

August 2013 - We found the apartment to be just as we expected (comfortable and appealing) and the images on the web page are correct.

The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time, the apartment is about a 20 minute walk (via steps and great exercise) to the beach, or if you prefer the bus, the stop is right out the front. You can also get on and off the Amalfi -Positano - Sorrento bus here as well.

The windows are double glazed so it is quiet when you want it to be. The traffic noise did not bother us during the day or night, this is Italy.

The apartment is appointed as you would expect with all the cooking facilities as well as pots, pans etc. We only made coffee, there are too many nice restaurants to warrant us cooking... The owner also left us a small tray of breakfast items which was a very nice touch.

The SummerInItaly team were very easy to deal with as well.

All in all a pleasant experience and we would recommend Casa Corinna A and SummerInItaly to all.

Travel tips

  • We did day trips to Pompeii and Sorrento as well as Amalfi and Ravello. All very easy to get to via the Sita bus which stops right out the front. Just get a day ticket from the tabacchi shop in town.
  • There are many restaurants in town, some that will pick you up and drop you off, so enjoy the great food and beautiful Italian wines.
  • Oh and the people of Positano are very, very friendly.

Fantastic

May 2013 - We spent a week at Casa Corinna A in early May and would highly recommend the property, which was fully equipped and spotlessly clean.

Peace and quiet was average, due to the apartment's situation on the main road around Positano which was certainly not a negative as the local and regional buses stopped right outside the property's entrance which gave excellent opportunities to travel further along the Amalfi Coast. Walking down into Positano was a straightforward 15 mins stroll via main road/steps right into the centre of town. Coming back was excellent exercise for the leg muscles.

Would definitely recommend Casa Corinna A for a very special stay and would definitely use you again.

Travel tips

  • Positano is full of good places to eat, bars to enjoy a drink in and some very special shops.
  • We enjoyed meals at Restaurant da Bruno on Via C. Colombo, but try to arrive before 8 pm for a terrace table and the fantastic view.
  • Restaurant Saraceno d'Oro was an excellent choice for both lunch and dinner as their pizzas came highly recommended.
  • Restaurant C'era una volta also has a postcard perfect view so probably better for lunch.
  • Bus rides into the hill behind Positano to Nocelle and Montepertuso were magical with lunch at Restaurant Il Ritrovo. Try the local cheese platter, before walking down the stunning flights of stairs to arrive virtually on the doorstep of Casa Corinna A.
  • For visitors new to Positano be prepared for some very steep stairways which are often the only way of getting from one part of town to the other.

September 2012 - We were very happy with the size, the facilities and cleanliness of Casa Corinna A.

The terrace was large and private and very inviting to sit out on for meals.

The landlady was very welcoming and more than happy to help us if required.

There was a super market nearby that had most things that we needed.

Casa Corinna A is on the busy main road which became very noisy during the day. Unfortunately the traffic noise disrupted the peace and quiet during the day. We knew we were to be on the main road so this was no surprise. The noise was not such a problem during the night.

We were very happy with the service from Summer in Italy. The written advice sent to us before we left home regarding how to get to Positano, phone numbers etc were very helpful.

Travel tips

  • We chose to walk down the 200+ steps to the centre each day but there is a local bus that stops outside the apartment which is a big advantage.
  • Be prepared for the traffic noise during the day.
  • Buy some of the ready prepared meals from some of the delicatessens as the food was delicious.
  • You can buy tickets for the local bus and bus to Sorrento from the nearby supermarket. The people who own the supermarket were fantastic - very friendly and very helpful.
  • The walks through the countryside to near-by villages are a must.
  • The maps were not great and the signs not always clear but talking to other walkers en route meant we got to our destination.

Fantastic

September 2012 - We loved Casa Corinna A for its wonderful terrace overlooking Positano. You can sunbathe quietly here during the day, then watch the sun go down and the lights of Positano come on during the evening. We spent 4 nights here on our motorcycle tour of the Balkans and Italy, and having travelled from the rough and ready Albania, this apartment on the Amalfi coast was a piece of paradise. We truly enjoyed staying here.

A major bonus for us was the secure covered parking for our motorcycle. This was what decided us to choose Casa Corinna in the first place and proved to be excellent, especially as the road outside is the Amalfi coast road with its tour bus and tourist traffic.

Summer In Italy provided excellent service to my initial request to find an apartment in Positano which had secure parking for our motorcycle, and not too many steps to get to the apartment. It was fantastic that you were able to provide great options in such a short space of time. You took the pain out of researching apartments that suit our needs. This level of service was excellent and we will contact you again regarding our future Italian trips. Thank you!

Travel tips

  • There is a bus stop right outside this apartment which brings you into Positano. We never used this however, instead we walked along the road as far as the mini-market then took the steps down to Positano. Look out for the sign on the wall that says "Beach" and this will bring you to the stone steps. There are a lot of them, its a bit of a slog walking back up them. But its better than walking along the coast road to the Positano junction (which we did on the first day).
  • The mini-market by these steps is a great place to stock up on provisions for the stay in Casa Corinna, they even deliver!! It's the only shop that we came across in Positano for groceries. Great for meat, vegetables, wine etc

June 2012 - We really enjoyed Casa Corinna A. It was everything that the website and reviews indicated.

It was extremely clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The location was ideal with the bus stop just outside, but yet we walked to and from town all the time. Great exercise!

The parking garage was a huge benefit and Mrs. Giovanna [the owner] was very accommodating and helpful.

For overall value, location and convenience I would certainly recommend Casa Corinna A.

It was noisy at times but that was stated on the reviews and added to the charm of being in town in Italy (due to road being one of the main arteries of Positano).

I was very impressed with the customer service and attention to detail. I would recommend your website!!!

Travel tips

  • Loved the smaller beach a 5-7 minute walk from the Grand Beach. Very scenic.
  • The grocery shop at the top of the stairs going into town - very friendly and helpful.
  • The path or walk of the gods was fantastic! Highly recommend doing the walk. Start early take loads of water, best views imaginable!: We walked Positano-Praiano,took the bus back.
  • Boat trip to and around Capri was super.

June 2012 - Our family loved this apartment very much!

It was comfortable, clean and very cosy.

We felt like it was our home.

Signora Giovanna [the owner] is very pleasant and a lovely woman, she is very helpful!

The apartment has typical furnishing, which is very beautiful - ceramics and interiors are wonderful!

I can surely say that it is very nice place to stay during your vacation in Positano!

We were very pleased with the SummerInItaly service - all necessary information got to us in time!!! It was excellent! Thank you!

Travel tips

  • Get ready for a 15 minutes walk up and down the steps in Positano, which is worth it! If it's a problem - you can always use local bus, the bus stop is only a few steps from the property but we always walked.
  • The nearest shop is a 7 minute walk from Casa Corinna A, where people who work there are always ready to help you! They are very friendly! You can find almost everything you need!

May 2012 - We had a wonderful time at Casa Corinna A.

The bus stop was just outside our door which made it very easy to get around.

There was coffee, tea and treats when we arrived along with fresh flowers in the bud vases.

The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. The second bedroom was a little small but doable.

The owner was pleasant and made sure we were settled and gave us his number if we needed anything. I would like to say thank you for making our stay in Italy one to remember.

Would definitely use Summer in Italy again and will keep in touch as we enjoyed Italy so much we will return.

August 2011 - We loved staying at Casa Corinna A and 3 nights was not long enough.

Rosita [the owner] was lovely and she helped us to park our hire car. It was a tight squeeze but my husband just managed it. Rosita also gave us good local advice about the local bus 'interno Positano' that stops right outside the apartment. We used to walk down the stairs by the supermarket to the town and beach and catch the bus back. Rosita also recommended 2 fantastic restaurants.

Travel tips

  • Make sure your car is small because the garage is small and the roads are very, very narrow. We didn't move our car until we left. You don't need a car anyway.
  • We did a day trip on the ferry to Isle of Capri and another day trip to Amalfi, both worth doing.
  • We had a beautiful meal at Restaurant da Vincenzo in Positano. Would really recommend this.

The accommodation has all modern equipment and was very clean. The landlady was very helpful and answered any queries / sorted out any problems promptly.

We were very happy with Summer in Italy.

Travel tips

April 2011 - The apartment condition was pristine when we arrived, all kitchen items were available, the sheets were great, the bath towels a little rough, the tile floors amazingly beautiful - and Rosita, our landlady who lives upstairs, an absolute delight!

The garage, while narrow to enter, was a life-saver for parking. The street below the balcony provided hours of entertainment with tour buses trying to pass by each other in a space that would be equivalent to one lane in the USA! The town bus ran like clockwork every half hour and picked us up and deposited us at the foot of our apartment stairs

It was great to have wi-fi access and reliable appliances - the gas tank ran out once, but was quickly remedied.

Our week in Positano will be a happy memory for years and years to come!

The booking, communications and process for payment went seamlessly - there were no surprises!

Travel tips

  • There is a clothes washer, but no dryer, so plan to hang clothes on a frame on the balcony.
  • The grocery store in the center of town has more to offer than the one within walking distance, but even that one provides you with some good fruit, veggies and appetizer makings for your first day breakfast and snacks.

June 2009 - I thought it was a lovely apartment. It was decorated nicely and felt very "Italian" Very clean. With all mod cons.

The landlady was lovely. Very helpful but never intruded unless you needed her.

The bus stop outside the door was a godsend, especially coming back from the beach and the town centre in the evenings.

We were tired of staying in hotels and it was nice to cook our own breakfast.

Travel tips

  • Its a twenty minute pleasant walk downhill to the town centre and the beach. There is a bus from the town centre every few minutes that stops outside the apartment door that saves you the uphill walk back, which can be tough going in the heat. May 2008 - The Casa was immaculate, well equipped and maintained. I particularly appreciated having the instructions for the washing machine and the information on garbage disposal.

Casa Corrina A is located on one of the main roads into Positano and so there is not a lot of peace and quiet during the day. We, however, did not mind this as we had the opportunity to view the daily life of Positano residents and feel part of the community.

The kindness and hospitality of Signora Giovanna and her daughter Rosita were outstanding. We felt they were always available if we needed them but at the same time respected our privacy.

I have been very impressed with the service of Summer in Italy and have recommended your service to a number of friends. From start to finish you made the experience easy. What I liked in particular is the comprehensive information you provide on the website about the accommodation, the detailed information you send once the accommodation has been reserved and your willingness to answer all questions. The more information a visitor has the more enjoyable the visit. Thank you for the excellent service.

Travel tips

  • Parking is a huge problem in this area but parking is included at Casa Corinna. To take advantage of this unique feature, you will need to have a car no larger than a Mercedes 180A or Toyota Yaris. We had a Mercedes 180A and we were able to park the car in the garage with Rosita's help. This saved us the considerable cost of 21 euros a day to park the car in a private garage. We then used the bus to travel along the coast from Ravello to Sorrento. The bus stop is just outside the Casa.

April 2008 - Having spent 5 nights there with 3 other friends we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Villa. The pictures on the website are great, however it is so much better in reality.

Our landlady was very helpful and friendly and the villa was well equipped.

My only slight draw back would be in the height of summer the road would be very busy and rather loud for both the main bedroom and the lounge room, however other than that is was perfect for your holiday and I plan to return next season!

Summer in Italy was fantastic, very helpful and I hope to use your services again in the future!

Travel tips

  • All being in our late 20's and early 30's we found we did not need to catch the bus home from the village or beach so it was great.
  • My only suggestion would be if one was travelling from Naples to Positano to allow for at least an extra hour as sometimes the bus from Sorrento was rather slow and the regional trains delayed.
  • We found the social atmosphere of Positano much better than that of Amalfi or Praiano so if anyone was in debate as to which location to choose, I promise Positano would not disappoint!

August 2007 - We really liked the apartment. Other than lineups for the bathroom at times, it was very comfortable for our family of 5. We liked the decor and it was very clean. Air conditioning and the washing machine were especially appreciated. Friends of ours stayed in Casa Corinna B - the set-up of the 2 apartments was perfect for us. Our 2 families were together, yet separate. The property manager was friendly and very attentive.

Positano is beautiful - the entire coastline is beautiful. We would visit again.

I really enjoyed dealing with Summer in Italy and will recommend you to friends. I felt I was getting personalized service - your communication was friendly, informative, professional - I especially liked the fact that you found something for me when I described what I wanted. I didn't even have to search!

Travel tips

  • For us, hill walking and stair climbing (many, many stairs) was not a problem but it could be for others. You have to be prepared to do this if you want to go into the centre - and you will. Driving isn't a great option - the roads are narrow, windy and busy and parking is minimal. Take the bus or walk.
  • The small grocery shop at the top of the stairs into the centre is great. It has everything you will need and the shopkeepers are so friendly - and speak English. They provided us with cooking tips, directions to beaches, food samples... everything!
  • We really enjoyed the boat trip to Capri. The captain stopped 3 times for us on the way back so that we could swim.
  • We walked a couple of km out of town to a quieter beach. The one in Positano is small and busy.

May 2007 - Casa Corinna A was everything I wished for and more.

I loved the beautiful tiles in the kitchen and living room floor. The kitchen was well-furnished and the view was breath-taking. And it was very clean.

My only complaint was the noise from Casa Corinna B. We could hear every word as if the neighbors were in our room. Not their fault - they were on vacation too and were having a good time.

I would come back to Casa Corinna every year, if I could.

Summer in Italy was fantastic. Your instructions were so correct and helpful.

Travel tips

  • We found that for the old mom and dad in our group, the passageway to town was doable but the walk back up was not very, so we, as a rule, took the bus home which comes regularly.
  • Il Pirata in Praiano was our favorite restaurant in Italy. Again, a long walk down and then back up, but well worth the trip.

April 2007 - The apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped and everything worked! No problems with dodgy shower or electricity here! The beds were comfortable and there was good space.

I was a bit worried about some previous comments about noise, but it was really nothing more than the buzz of the town in daytime when we were there - which is part of the charm of the place. The apartment has good double glazing which allows undisturbed sleep at night.

It is also in the perfect location to enjoy Positano with a fine view over the town stretching down to the water in the distance. Any reasonably fit person can walk down to the main restaurants in 5-10 mins.

A real plus to have parking here!

The landlady was ever so helpful and near at hand. We even had water and oranges for our arrival!

A perfect base for enjoying Pompei. Amalfi and the gem of Positano!

What an outstanding set up with Summer In Italy! Everything clear and organised - I knew exactly what to pay, when, how to get there and how to get the landlady, my responsibilities for cleaning etc. - no nasty surprises - they helped me organise an extra night and even arranged a measure of the apartment's car space with no fuss - an exemplar agency for Italy! I would have no hesitation in recommending or using again! Thanks again!

Although the walk down to town was along a busy road, having the bus stop right outside became a real bonus.

August 2006 - It was the best apartment we have rented in Italy concerning decor and equipment.

The kitchen was fantastic and we could cook all the dishes we liked because all the equipment was there.

Bedrooms were fine and beds good and the bathroom was excellent. Nice touches that there was a hairdryer and iron. Air-conditioning was great!

The traffic on the road (although a great spectacle) was sometimes a bit noisy.

The distance from the sea was not a problem and all the steps made us very fit and allowed us to have plenty of the lovely Italian ice cream!

July 2006 - A very beautiful apartment that suited a family of 4 very well. It has the potential of sleeping another person on a sofa bed in the living room if desired.

It is an easy walk down to the centre and on the way back up there is a local bus that drops you off right out the front of the apartment.

It is a very well looked after apartment and I would highly recommend it to anyone who would be considering it.

Thank you very much Summer In Italy. You made things very easy for us and you were a real pleasure to deal with. I wish you all the best and I look forward to browsing through your website again and hopefully booking something with you next summer. Well Done! Great Job!

May 2006 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Corina very much.

Rosita and her mother [the owners] were very nice and welcoming, offering assistance anytime. I would recommend the kitchen be equipped with basic food staple items such as salt and pepper, foil and plastic wrap etc. Great to have parking available, as well as the bus right out front!!

A wonderful place in a wonderful town. Thanks Summerinitaly!

April 2006 - We liked Casa Corinna very very much. It was clean, bright and cheerful. Mrs Giovanna [the owner] was wonderful.

When I phoned Mrs Giovanna from Sorrento the connection was very bad and I was not sure of her instructions. She said "don't worry I'll find you". She actually stopped our Sita bus in Positano and retrieved us from it.

The villa is right beside both a Sita and a local bus stop which can be a bit noisy but also very convenient for travel between Amalfi and Sorrento and to and from Positano itself. As we like to walk we actually enjoyed the steps down and back but this could be a problem for some folk.

I feel very good about Summer in Italy. The staff answered my questions in all of my several e-mails quickly and clearly. I found Summer In Italy with a Google search. Your web site is very logical and the villa descriptions are quite good. So I took the chance that everything else would be equally good. It was. I would have no hesitation in recommending Summer in Italy.

April 2006 - We adored Casa Corinna! Our experience in Positano was perfect because of our accomodations. We truly felt a part of the town and Mrs. Giovanna [the owner] could not have been more helpful, kind and welcoming.

We got very lost on our way in to town and when we called Mrs. Giovanna to clarify how to get to her, she very generously jumped in her car to come pick us up. It was not at all expected that she would be that helpful, but we were of course grateful.

The villa is sparkling clean... it even smells lovely! She has fresh flowers on the patio and heating/cooling in every room.

The view is not at all spectacular compared to other views in the area, but the villa is worth it.

It is a little difficult to walk along the main driving roads to get to the pedestrian steps. That felt a little dangerous at times, but it didn't make us regret anything.

Overall, our experience with your service and with the villa was perfect. We would highly recommend this to friends and will use you guys again ourselves. The website provided incredibly accurate details so I knew exactly what to expect.

Unfortunately, Casa Corinna A can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
