Very quiet and equipped with everything you need
September 2022 - Anyone who likes plants is absolutely in good hands in this garden loft. The accommodation fully corresponds to the description in the advertisement; despite the nearby road, it is very quiet and equipped with everything you need.
Very good starting point for Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, Naples is great to be reached by train.
The landlords are very nice and totally discreet. We recommend the accommodation without any doubt.

Quiet, relaxing place

Travel tips
- Supermarket and bancomat are nearby. When you leave, go to the right and follow Via Caracciolo in direction of the beach. It is only 450 meters.
- Visit Mount Vesuvius, the view is beautiful.

Very peaceful
August 2022 - Casa Ardesia is very quirky and well equipped with everything, including washing machine, large fridge/freezer and wardrobe. There is a padlocked gate to enter into the garden area with a driveway that leads to the house. It is a spacious open plan living area set in gardens.
It was very peaceful and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and about 15 minutes downhill to the nearest beach. It is 5 minutes walk to the train station which is convenient to use for Sorrento, Naples and historical sites.
I would definitely recommend Summer In Italy to others as I found you extremely helpful and always quick to reply.
Travel tips
- I would recommend using the trains for transport as they are cheap, on time and frequent.
- We went on an all day boat trip and stopped at the Island of Capri. I would recommend going on the smaller boats (hold 12 people) rather than the bigger more commercialised ones.
- Be aware there are not any ATM's in Meta, the closest ones are in Sorrento.

Fantastic
July 2022 - My boyfriend and I spent a week at Casa Ardesia at the end of July and had a wonderful stay. Maria, the hostess, picked us up from the station and welcomed us to Meta and the beautiful apartment.
Meta is a lovely town which gave us a taste of authentic Italian living, with its local shops and restaurants. The beach was sandy and beautiful and is within walking distance from the flat.
Maria gave us advice and brochures for local attractions and travelling, which was very useful. She has a vast vegetable garden and was generous enough to share the delicious produce with us! We were also lucky enough to have some of her homemade limoncello.
The gardens surrounding the property have been loving grown by Maria, and provide a quiet and peaceful environment for a relaxing holiday.
We had an amazing time there and would highly recommend Casa Ardesia to anyone who is looking for an authentic Italian experience.
Travel tips
- Meta is a lot less touristy than Sorrento but in our opinion this is a blessing. The restaurants are cheap and full of local Italians rather than tourists which is always a good sign that the food quality is going to be of the highest level.
- The shops sell fresh meat and vegetables and fantastic quality wine by the litre for a couple of euros!
