August 2011 - Had a fantastic time at Casa Anguria D. The property was easy to find, there was plenty of off road parking, the rooms were clean tidy and sensibly appointed.

The staff and management were very friendly and helpful and made our stay a pleasant one.

The swimming pool was the best I have used in many years.

Note that the property is a working farm and the property is surrounded by olive groves and there are animals on site. The whole experience was a relaxing and pleasurable one.

The restaurant served local dishes all of which were excellent many of the ingredients being from the farm itself but they do not do pizza.

Thanks again for helping us experience another great holiday in Italy. This will be the fourth time we have used your services and you have never let us down or misrepresented a property. As your portfolio expands we look forward to using your services again. The accuracy of your site, speed of reply to communications and reliability are important. Keep up the good work.

Travel tips

  • The use of a car is essential if staying here. There are supermarkets in Casal Velino but they offer limited choice. We were advised to visit the Conad Supermarket in Ascea, a 15 to 20 min drive away... much better choice of products. It was very good advice!
  • This property is ideal as a base to explore the surrounding countryside and sites.
  • There are a variety of sea/boat trips available from the harbour. We took one and it was great fun (please note payment is cash only and a little knowledge of the Italian language would be useful).
  • There were three members of staff who spoke a little English and all were very helpful. All the other conversations of the week were in Italian, very few locals spoke any English. EVERYONE was friendly and helpful... my Italian improved during our stay.

June 2011 - The surroundings of the villa, the excellent swimming pool, the friendly and helpful owners and the great home cooking in their restaurant made this an excellent place to stay. We had a great holiday.
