Very good

June 2015 - Appartamento Servio was suitable for our needs (short term stay in Rome). It was very clean and well laid out and had plenty of room for us. It's kind of on the outskirts of Rome (which was fine). The nearest metro stop (Tiburtina) is about a 10-15 minute walk, not bad but not great. I must say we felt rather secure behind the door to this apartment - it was like bank vault door, had retracting pins on all sides and a complicated key.

The manager who checked us in was outstanding. Although he couldn't speak any English we communicated via Google Translate which went surprisingly well! But the most outstanding aspect was he asked when were leaving and he arranged for a private driver to come pick us up right on time and take us to the airport. The price (EUR 60) was also very reasonable. I'm glad he offered to do this as we would have had a heck of time lugging our luggage all the way to the metro and working our way through various stops to get to the airport.

Travel tips

  • There is only one AC control. It looks like a TV remote, but you go room to room to turn it on and control it in each room (this is for Americans, Europeans probably already know this).
  • The washing machine is on the second balcony in the master bedroom in the back (it has two balconies, one off the kitchen and one in the back). Oh, and never close the door without the key in your hand. It "soft" locks even if you merely close it. Also, you must keep a key in the door at all times on the inside, it is the only way to open the door (that we could figure out) from the inside.
  • The grocery store across the street is very convenient (as are the Burger King and McDonald’s).

Good

September 2014 - Appartamento Servio is a very nice little place, good value for the money.

A little outside the tourist area but still only a 10 minute walk to the subway that would take you everywhere.

Very impressed with Summer In Italy, would not hesitate to recommend to anyone! Service was exemplary, 5 star service all the way! Prompt response, knowledgeable staff, a joy to plan a holiday with you!

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Gabriele is just one block away and very good.
  • Just watch pickpockets on the subway!

Average

August 2014 - Appartamento Servio is small but sufficient for a city break, the bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms well appointed.

The apartment is on a quite busy road, 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed there was considerable noise of racing cars and motorbikes in the early hours of the morning.

The train and metro station is a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and it takes approximately 20 minutes to get to central Rome. There is a supermarket just across the road which made it very easy to purchase breakfast, water and any other supplies you might need during your stay.

Travel tips

  • Get a city pass.
  • The metro and trains are a walk from the apartment.
  • The supermarket is just across the road.
  • A Burger King is next door!

Unfortunately, Appartamento Servio can not be booked at this time.
