I could not be happier!

June 2016 - I could not be happier with my stay! Appartamento Isabella is an incredible apartment in a fine old villa. The location, with access to the pool, swimming pier, bar, terrace with panoramic view, beautiful garden, plus an easy walk into town, makes this the best possible place you could ever stay in Sorrento.

September 2015 - We loved the old villa, pool, and extensive grounds. Appartamento Isabella itself was clean and spacious but could benefit from some updating.

Wiring in kitchen was spotty with only one awkwardly placed outlet and no extension cords. Range needs work as lighting the burners was touch and go. Living room lamp not working. Basic kitchen items such as a can opener were nonexistent. BUT, the desk was very accommodating and had maintenance people over immediately and repeatedly to assure us that things were repaired while we were there. We really appreciated their attention to our comments.

Summer In Italy was a pleasure to deal with. All of the online staff responded immediately and were understanding and flexible when a minor issue about our timing came up. We would definitely use the site again. Good work by all!

September 2015 - Appartamento Isabella is a great place to stay.

It is somewhat secluded but yet very close to the hotel and the sea. The huge pool is also right next door. The apartment is very large and the living room is especially big. The beach area is FANTASTIC, and includes a small restaurant. My only issue is the hardness of the mattresses, but every mattress I have slept on in Europe is that way.

The view from the balcony next to the hotel is just amazing. You can easily see Naples, Sorrento, and Mount Vesuvius. It was so nice that my friend proposed to his girlfriend at the balcony while we were there. And they plan to get married at the hotel next year.

June 2015 - It was good that you had access to the hotel so that if you wanted breakfast/dinner you could have it. The location was good and having access to the hotel shuttle bus was also very useful in terms of getting into Sorrento. With four adults having a shower the last person had to suffer the water becoming cold at some point. It may be worth getting a larger tank for the hot water at some stage.

June 2014 - We had a wonderful holiday.

Appartamento Isabella is very comfortable and clean and in a good location, it was around a 15 minute walk to town. The views and gardens are fantastic, we just felt that the kitchen was poorly equipped and the appliances had seen better days, the bathrooms were very clean but they also need to be updated.

The pool area is so relaxing and comfortable and only a few minutes walk from the apartment. The beach is amazing and worth the 20 euro.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

October 2013 - Appartamento Isabella was what we wanted in that we had the use of the hotel whilst we were independent. The apartment had several problems: the table in the dining room was very wobbly so we spilt drinks. The sofas and chairs were very small and not that comfortable. There was not enough hot water for a bath. The equipment was ok although we had to clean out the dishwasher as it was covered in limescale. There was not enough space for clothes in the main bedroom as one cupboard was locked.

The problems were not bad enough to spoil our holiday.

September 2013 - We enjoyed the apartment very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Sorrento.

It would have been nice to have WiFi in the apartment, but it was only a few steps to the hotel where it was available at no charge.

July 2013 - Not suited to preparing own meals. Kitchen appliances in poor condition. No water pressure in kitchen. Apartment very noisy on three nights during and after wedding functions which went very late on one occasion. Beds below average and squeaky.

June 2013 - We had a fabulous time staying at the Apartmento Isabella. It was perfect for our group (4 women). The gardens around the apartment are BEAUTIFUL!!

The beds are comfortable and the rooms have air conditioning! We never figured out how to turn the gas on for coffee (but we could have gotten help if we wished) but found a coffee shop right down the street that made great cappuccinos! And being a part of such a wonderful hotel made it really great. Giovanni, the concierge, was amazing! But the staff at the beach, the restaurant, the bars as well as the driver were all such a pleasure!

You were very easy to work with and I would definitely use you again if I get the chance to return to Italy!

We also had to pay for a lot of extras like parking, breakfast and entry to the beach [as noted on the website]

June 2012 - The apartment was nice and in a beautiful location but it is now a bit old and well-used -- it could be made so much better with some redecoration and new furniture/pictures and equipment.

When we arrived there were no drinking glasses or large saucepans to cook with and no tea towels plus all the crockery was dirty. These issues were sorted out promptly by the hotel.

As the hotel had evening functions several times a week, it was a little noisy at night.

As it was very hot during our stay, we really appreciated the swimming pool and the lovely botanical gardens!

"Summer in Italy" have been very good and helpful and we would recommend them to anyone wishing to travel to this part of the world.

April 2012 - The apartment is very beautiful, and furnished in a light style that suits the lovely tiled floors.

There is marble in the kitchen and hallway that makes the apartment feel very 'rich'. The kitchen area is small, which limits meals to one cook at a time, but this is good fun for a holiday experience. The windows are magnificent, giving both air and shade if required. There is a sea view from the double bedroom, the others all look over the superb garden which is a joy to walk in.

The main terrace gives views to Naples and Vesuvius, and I recommend sitting there with coffee from the hotel - you will feel like royalty.

The walk to town is manageable if you keep to the shortest route, do not head straight up to the Corso Italia, but go via the museum, it is quieter and prettier.

We really enjoyed our week and cannot wait to return, the staff were all most kind and helpful and helped to make our family holiday.

October 2011 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Appartamento Isabella. It was a fantastic holiday.

The fact that it is situated within the grounds of a 5 hotel meant we had the best of both worlds - the facilities of the hotel, but the independence of the villa. All the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful at all times. The villa itself isn't 5, but then we weren't paying a 5 price. It is extremely comfortable (would have been slightly better if there was a proper cubicle on the shower!).

Overall I would highly recommend this villa to anyone! We didn't want to go home...

October 2011 - We really enjoyed our time here. We got the apartment as we had a 2 year old daughter with us so she could have her own room and we could relax in the lounge in the evenings - practically this place worked really well.

The use of the hotel facilities was excellent, the veranda view of the hotel was stunning, the beach was a "nice to have" for a day, though I personally wouldn't pay 20 euro a head to go on it - but we are not beach lovers.

The gardens were really nice and a break from the norm for Sorrento.

The location was about 1 km from centre of Sorrento, but all on one level so no hills which is great. This meant you didn't have the hassle and bustle of Sorrento on your door step but equally you had a walk there and back to do.

September 2011 - The apartment met all our expectations although it could use some updating.

It was conveniently located so walking into Sorrento was not a problem however walking back after an afternoon of shopping, eating and drinking the great wines of the region was a little more challenging.

The grounds, pool and hotel were awesome and we took full advantage of all.

Would seriously consider a return trip over the next few years.

May 2011 - I loved it! Very different then being in a hotel room. It's great for families and just a bunch of friends wanting to hang out. Like home...

We had breakfast every morning, picked oranges from a tree outside our kitchen window and cooked some nights. The patio views and pool were great. We had a car but were able to walk to town and use the shuttle bus a lot.

Recommend highly.

October 2010 - We were delightfully surprised with our accommodations at Appartamento Isabella. It was very roomy and comfortable for four people.

It is situated in a botanical garden on the grounds of a large hotel, but it felt very private. The hotel terrace overlooked the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius - outstanding view!

The hotel concierge was helpful and the staff were all very accommodating.

July 2010 - We had a wonderful time at Appartamento Isabella.

It was so peaceful-- the grounds were gorgeous and very relaxing.

It is part of a five-star hotel so we were able to use all of the hotel facilities which was nice. October 2009 - The apartment was an excellent base for our exploration of the Amalfi coast. Very comfortable and clean.

The adjacent hotel provided fine support and excellent staff.

This was the perfect place for two couples to share, and the cost was reasonable.

September 2009 - The location was fantastic. The gardens were unbelievable.

The apartment on the whole very good. Time to update the facilities. The gas hob was difficult to light and to keep the rings on.The kitchen utensils all need deposing of. The toilet was constantly running leaving unsightly stain in the pan. The electrics were under powered constantly tripping off. Extension cable for kettle had melted. Shower door was unable to close. Did experience a flooding in the living room when it rained.

Would recommend to any future guests. We will be staying again. The pool was fantastic.

June 2009 - This is a very good villa that, unfortunately, is not being kept up to the standard it deserves. The problems were all minor but added up to an impression that the villa was not top of the agenda.

The pool is the hotel pool and it is open 9:00 till 6:00. The villa is on the very outskirts of Sorrento.

May 2009 - The gardens were beautiful, and the pool was a great feature, but it closed too early. We would return after a long hot day of touring, and wanted to cool off in the pool, but it was closed. The shuttle was also rather limited, and the walk to town did take about 30 minutes.

Overall, it was a great place to stay, with a few changes it would be excellent.

July 2006 - We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Appartamento Isabella. It met our expectations and more.

The surrounding garden is a wonder by itself and it provided a beautiful and peaceful setting.

The Appartamento itself was very spacious and very accommodating in comfort and use. It is tastefully decorated and each room more than adequately fit our needs. The kitchen was well-equipped and met all our needs.

We especially liked all the windows that allowed us to always enjoy the view of the gardens. Finding the laundry machine and utility room inside the appartamento was more than we can ask. This was truly a comfort.

I cannot say enough about the pool area. My family, especially our children, appreciated the opportunity to swim in a pool while on vacation in Sorrento. It was a bigger and better pool than we expected. The terrace and surrounding view from the pool were so beautiful. I can still picture it now.

Getting down to the beach was easier than we imagined it to be. Beach access was great. The amenities at the beach were wonderful and made it very comfortable to lounge by the sea. The hotel staff were very welcoming and made our stay a true pleasure.

I can go on forever about our experience at the Appartamento Isabella. I speak for all of us in our family. Our stay there gave us such fond memories which we will always cherish in our minds and hearts. We will always remember our stay in Sorrento.

We hope someday to return and once again stay in the Appartamento Isabella. Thank you for making our experience there so delightful!

May 2006 - Perfect for two couples. For those who want to enjoy some quiet time and relaxation, Appartamento Isabella is the place to stay.

Having the use of the nearby luxury hotel facilities makes this "home away from home" quite wonderful. The complimentary shuttle bus to/from the hotel, the pool and the 24-hour concierge service as well as other hotel amenities at your disposal (even though you are staying in the apartment building on the hotel property) is a terrific safety net for travelers who have never been to the Amalfi Coast.

The only negative we have is that the mattresses were a bit flat and uncomfortable.

What a surprise to find an A/C unit in each room! They work beautifully.

Keep up the great work! Your description of the property was perfect and the help along the way invaluable.

March 2006 - We enjoyed our stay very much. It has a great location, with a fantastic view from the park / terrace.

We were four adults and one infant, and it was nice that the apartment was spacious and with two bathrooms.

We were also pleased with a dishwasher and a washing machine in the kitchen.

October 2005 - Our party enjoyed our stay at Appartamento Isabella. The people in the hotel were very helpful and we were grateful for the use of the courtesy bus. In particular the help given by the driver.

The apartment itself was spacious and well equipped. There was a supply of basic items such as washing/cleaning equipment and a good amount of kitchen utensils. Having a washing machine and dish washer was extremely useful,as was the utility/drying room.

There was ample space for clothes in the bedrooms and there was plenty of toiletries available.

October 2004 - We loved being in a villa versus staying in a hotel room for a week. The location was great. The park like gardens are beautiful and the view breathtaking. It is a very quiet location.

We used the hotel shuttle, but we also walked into Sorrento often. We had to walk off all the gelato we were enjoying! We love walking, so the 15-20 minute walk was not an issue for us.

Sorrento is a great location to use as a base if you are visiting other places in the area.

The facilities were spacious and well equipped and everything was in excellent order. The air conditioning was particularly efficient and very welcoming.

May 2004 - Apartment Isabella was everything we expected based on your descriptions, and more, with few exceptions. One of the great features is that it is owned by a 5 hotel and is located right next to the hotel. All of the amenities of this wonderful hotel were made available to us including the services provided by Mr. Giovanni, the conceirge, and all of his wonderful staff. Anything we needed was brought to us promptly.

The apartment itself was wonderful. It was spacious (approximately 1200 square feet), clean, comfortable and quiet.

First of all, we can't thank you enough for your kindness in getting the owners to change the dates of our stay to accommodate an unexepcted accident. Secondly, it is unusual when someone in your business understates the wonders of a property. A very refreshing change from the practices of some of your competitors.

March 2004 - We loved our stay at the apartment Isabella. The view and the gardens were wonderful. The location was close enough for walking into town and walking off all the pasta. The hotel staff were very helpful. As the hotel was closed, we were unable to use the hotel services, but it did make for a peaceful stay.

Everything went well with our booking. I enjoyed reading the reviews on the properties and used that to help make our choice. We did not realise that the hotel was closed at this time. We had planned on using the services of the hotel for meals, transport etc, but everything worked out anyway. Italy is our favorite country and we will be back. October 2003 - Imagine walking through gardens fit for royalty. Then into our villa which was beyond our expectations. Big, beautiful and very clean.

The people were extremely friendly and courteous and all the amenities of the hotel were available to us, including the shuttle bus into Sorrento.

It is ideally situated so that day trips from the villa were extremely easy to do.

We thought the place was like a paradise and will be very likely returning some day soon.

August 2003 - Yes, we're back in England now, having had a great holiday in Italy.

We thought Appartamento Isabella, the setting and the adjacent hotel were delightful, although they were a bit 'dated'. You get the feel the place hasn't changed for 40 years, which can be quaint, but takes a bit of getting used to.

We enjoyed the swimming pool, the views across Naples Bay and the air conditioning. We also thought eating out was very expensive!

June 2003 - Appartamento Isabella exceed our expectations by far. It was extremely spacious, clean and full of light.

The apartment was surrounded by lush gardens that gave us privacy yet we still had access to the amenities of the luxury hotel.

My favorite place was the veranda. We would enjoy a bottle of wine each evening while watching sunset and taking in the majestic views of the Bay Naples. Thank you for such a great experience.

June 2003 - The apartment was outstanding, very spacious, clean, and in an outstanding setting.

 We particularly liked that it was set back from the road so that we did not hear its noise. Yet it was within walking distance to coffee, stores, and downtown Sorrento.

June 2003 - We had a really lovely time at the apartment. It was very spacious and lovely and clean. The air conditioning was a real luxury.

The best things were the pool, the view from the hotel veranda and the service at the hotel. We watched the sun set while sipping a long drink every evening.
