September 2006 - Our stay at Appartamento Carolina was brilliant.

The surrounding gardens were truly stunning. It was very peacefully and quiet. The facilities made available were excellent... especially the swimming pool, the views from the terrace and of course the use of courtesy bus service to the centre of Sorrento. Even the walk to the centre was only about 10 - 15 minutes away.

The whole experience is something we will remember for a very long time.

Thank you Summer In Italy for all your help in arranging this accommodation. We will certainly consider using you again and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to others.

August 2006 - The resort on which the apartment was sited was excellent; very green, and quiet. The view from both the terrace and pool was fantastic, overlooking the bay of Sorrento (although the pool was a little chilly ...) Staff on standby very helpful and polite, and the courtesy bus into Sorrento was a good service.

The apartment itself was very spacious and indeed well equipped. We were informed that we may encounter a smell of dampness in the apartment; this was the case inside cupboards and wardrobes (although not to any great extent), however the main concern was we found both the beds and the sofa's were quite damp in themselves (the mattresses were relatively new and very clean as I lifted the sheets to check!).

Overall, the holiday was very relaxing and in an ideal spot close enough, but far enough from the main centre, but for the price paid, this was a little too damp to consider a return visit in the apartment.

This was a 'by chance' internet booking and have to say the service offered by Summer in Italy has been a first class friendly service, thankyou very much for all your help.

July 2006 - It was a superb location in the hotel grounds - we loved the views.

Our only real complaint was the dampness of the villa itself. It was a real problem - all our clothes became very damp and cold after only one day.

Other than that - excellent holiday in its entirety!

June 2006 - Appartamento Carolina was an excellent choice for the 4 of us (with 2yr old and mother in law).

Ground floor level suited us well. The apartment was fairly basic but entirely adequate. Living room spacious but a little dark. Master bedroom large and comfortable. Kitchen small but well equipped. Bathrooms fine (1 with bath, 1 with shower).

The location within the grounds of the hotel was extremely convenient. Access to all the hotel facilities (pool, access to sea, restaurant, bar, shuttle bus to town) was very useful. Service at the hotel was generally excellent. The surroundings of the apartment (i.e. hotel grounds) were very well maintained and also quiet and peaceful. Food at the hotel was good but expensive.

The web-based set-up of Summer in Italy seems to work very well. All emails answered very promptly. Overall excellent.

July 2005 - It was a very enjoyable week thanks to the environnment and the appartment itself.

Though we would have appreciated a better kitchen and bathroom, overall it was excellent.

Although the appartment was much larger than expected, the kitchen was very small and difficult to work in. As for the bathroom, the shower was very poorly located and so small you could hardly turn around and prevent water from going all over the place. Mind you, compared to other bathrooms in Europe, yours was better than average.

All and all we enjoyed the place very much and would consider returning some day.

May 2005 - The setting of Appartamento Carolina is fantastic. Very quiet and comfortable.

The ability to use the shuttle service to town was great.

The sea view unbeatable (except at the Foreigner's Club).

The beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. The air conditioner worked - only needed one afternoon.

The trees and garden made it cool and there was a breeze when windows open.

The washing machine worked fine and so did the kitchen facilities.

It was a great place for what we needed it for. Three people who needed two bedrooms/two bathrooms.

October 2004 - We, that is my husband and 2 daughters, booked this apartment to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have always wanted to visit Sorrento but could not find any flats until I discovered Summer in Italy. The rest of my family wanted to visit Pompei and Vesuvius.

The swimming pool and the hotel shuttle bus were added bonuses. The flat was in a brilliant location, being close to town but without the traffic noise.

We hired a car to get there from Naples but didn't need to use it whilst at the apartment.

The kitchen was rather basic but adequate for preparing breakfast and lunch.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.

September 2004 - We really enjoyed our stay at Appartamento Carolina. The beautiful park setting was like being in the Garden of Eden. Having the hotel next door made it the best of both worlds. Having all the amenities and services of a hotel, while being able to retreat to our own private get-away!

This all made for a memorable vacation that we certainly would like to do again!

I would like to say to Summer In Italy "Keep up the good work!" I don't see how you could improve on your service as it was excellent! I will certainly recommend your service to friends, and look forward to working with you again.

September 2004 - Excellent place to stay. The apartment and furnishings are simple, but adequate. The gardens are exeptionally beautful, the salt water pool large and inviting and the view, steps from the apartment, of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvias is fantastic.

The Hotel provides convenient food service overlooking the bay and the center of Sorrento is a short shuttle ride or pleasant walk.

Plenty of good local restaurants and cafes and small grocery stores and a pharmacy and gourmet restuarants in central Sorrento.

Great place to hub.

September 2004 - We really enjojed our stay at the villa. We had lots of room and it was very clean. The dishwasher and washing machine were really useful. There were lots of complimentary toilteries and toilet rolls in both of the bathrooms.

The gardens were lovely and the view from the terrace magnificent. The cost of drinks on the terrace were a little expensive so we only had one!

August 2004 - The setting was lovelly. Having the use of the hotel pool and poolside towels was a real bonus. We loved Sorrento and overall had a great holiday.

The accomodation was fine and suited our purposes - it was nice and clean, which is the main thing. We had great weather so didnt spend much time indoors!

June 2004 - We enjoyed staying at Appartamento Carolina very much. We especially liked the fact that it was on the grounds of a 5 star hotel, allowing us to use the hotel's amenities, including their beautiful pool and beach.

The employees at the hotel were helpful when we ran into problems such as trash disposal, towels and ants in the kitchen area. These problems were expected, as we were aware that cleaning service was not included. In spite of that, the hotel staff did help out whenever they could.

The view from the hotel's veranda was worth the minor inconveniences we encountered.

Everyone at Summer in Italy was great. Your response time to my inquiries was terrific, even when our flight was delayed and we needed to change our transportation in Naples, you helped out tremendously. I have already recommended your website to many others. Thank you so much for a memorable Italy vacation!!!

June 2004 - The staff at Summer in Italy are first rate and the villa is gorgeous. It is positioned in the middle of some of the most lush and beautiful gardens you will find anywhere. While the view from the villa faces these gardens, a stunning view of the bay is just a few steps away.

The location is convenient to both Sorrento and Sant'Agnello yet it provides a quiet and peaceful setting, free of the bustle of the towns.

Living spaces were all clean, comfortable and functional if not ultra modern.

The pool is terrific for little ones to wade, adults to relax and for those who are daring, to dive.

An added bonus is the concierge and staff of the hotel, colocated on the grounds. I would not hesistate to stay at Appatamento Carolina again.

June 2003 - Both ourselves and our grown up daughters, who accompanied us, had a wonderful time in the Appartamento Carolina, Sorrento.

The appartment is a lovely old building that has been tastefully modernised. It was cool and spacious. We loved the beautiful gardens that were also cool, which was very welcome as the weather was so hot.

The salt water pool was excellent and sitting on the truly amazing terrace watching the sunset was the fondest memory of our stay. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and will definitely return one day.

May 2003 - We had a wonderful time at Appartamento Carolina. The apartment was ideally suited for us and our two children.

The gardens around the apartment were beautiful and the children spent hours exploring and playing there. As our children are quite young, it was also great to have the supervised pool and to be so close to the hotel facilities and the free shuttle bus service to and from the town centre.

In our opinion, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast is one of the most stunning destinations we have been to. And we will be back!
