Clean, quiet, and actually, just perfect!

July 2018 - Appartamento Ariele A has everything a traveler needs and wants to enjoy Rome. It was clean, quiet, and actually, just perfect! Although it is a bit outside the centre, it is well connected by public transportation, with the new metro line C not far at all.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

July 2014 - Appartamento Ariele A is a very comfortable, clean, modern apartment in a well maintained complex.

It was ideally located for our purposes, and the apartment manager was very gracious and accommodating.

We took a chance on online bookings and accommodation recommendations made by Summer in Italy in what was a cursory internet search for places to stay in Amalfi, Rome and Tuscany. We hadn't been to Italy previously and were somewhat dubious about internet transactions, but Luca and his staff were very helpful and covered all our booking and logistical needs very quickly and thoroughly. Having completed our trip with great satisfaction, we can attest that this chance encounter worked out perfectly. We highly recommend their service.

Travel tips

  • Try Restaurant La Pantanella on next door (recommended by the apartment manager), it was excellent. A very unassuming location specializing in Sardinian food and wine. We ate dinner their twice, and the food and service...we haven't experienced better in any of our travels... It's a gem.

Fantastic

August 2013 - Apartment is modern with all the amenities. And spacious and very comfortable. Perfect location as it is close to public transport and shopping convenience.

Ideal as I think it would be difficult to find such a similar apartment that is so centrally located.

Would definitely recommend.

September 2012 - We enjoyed Appartamento Ariele A. We were touring Rome for a few days and needed a place for 2 couples to say. This worked out very well for us.

Thank you for the beautiful apartment.

Additionally, Ms. Franca [the owner] was very helpful while we were staying in the apartment.

We cannot thank Summer In Italy enough for helping us locate this apartment. We had booked a villa on the Amalfi Coast for 3 weeks with Summer In Italy and when we decided to stay in Rome for a few days before going to our final destination we thought maybe they could help us find a location in Rome. Any time we had a question or an issue Summer In Italy was right there to help us. And they were VERY PROMPT. Travelling in a foreign country with a limited understanding of the language it is very helpful to be able to communicate and address your questions with the least amount of difficulty. We tell anyone we know who is talking about going to Italy about Summer In Italy.

September 2010 - We thought Appartamento Ariele A was wonderful!

We were made very welcome by Franca when we arrived, late at night.

The apartment was absolutely immaculate, extremely comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel - more space, and we felt free to treat it like home.

All arrangements made through Summer in Italy were very efficient, prompt and friendly - great! We didn't need help while in Rome, but felt certain that had we done so, it would have been readily available.

Will certainly investigate other properties through you in future. Thanks very much.

Travel tips

  • Excellent discount supermarket five minutes' walk away (behind the petrol station on Via Casilina south of the apartment). Particularly friendly assistant on cheese/meats counter.
  • Best (and oldest) ice cream parlour in Rome, at Palazzo del Freddo Giovanni Fassi, Via Principe Eugenio (on the 105 bus route).

October 2009 - We were very impressed with the Appartamento Ariele A; it was everything we had hoped for and more! It was ideal for my wife and I and our 2 teenage children and it was one of the things that helped make our week in Rome so memorable and enjoyable.

The apartment is in a great location. It is on the bus route (you can also walk to many places directly from the apartment), there is a grocery store just a couple blocks away and there is an excellent pizzeria just up the street.

The apartment was well furnished with ample kitchen/bathroom supplies (towels, soap etc) and there was even a clothes washer/dryer. The appliances all looked like they were fairly new and everything worked fine.

Thank you for providing such timely responses to all my questions! I was very nervous about booking an apartment on-line in Italy with a company I had not dealt with before but your prompt, complete and friendly communications put my mind at ease.

Travel tips

  • Bring your laptop if you have one. The wireless in the apartment worked great and we were able to get a lot of up to date travel information and make reservations on-line from the apartment.
  • Get a Roma Pass. You can walk to the train station from the apartment but you can also catch the 105 bus which will take you to the main train station (Termini).

September 2009 - The apartment is recently renovated with modern decor and is clean. The plumbing worked well also.

The owner Franca is extremely helpful and speaks good English. She assisted us enormously on our arrival to Rome and the apartment.

Travel tips

  • Via Casilina is a very long road leading beyond Rome's southern limits - if using GPS navigation ensure the right part of the road is selected (ie towards the city centre) - it could otherwise be a long way to travel along the road to get to the apartment.
  • The apartment building is not very distinctive (or clearly named from the road) and finding it without assistance of the owner may prove difficult. A useful landmark that many locals are familiar with including the taxi drivers is the Bingo Hall next door.

July 2008 - Definitely THE most comfortable beds in Italy and believe me, we slept in a few.

It was the most welcome site to arrive at this apartment after 24 hrs travelling from Australia. It was spacious, clean and really well situated in a beautiful suburb of Rome.

The owner was extremely friendly, prompt and helpful.

The public transport was so convenient and in the end we actually walked into Rome which was a gorgeous trip.

I am praying that I need to book accommodation through Summer in Italy again. It is the most fabulous service. The staff are so helpful, prompt in returning emails and full of really helpful advice. By the time I had to leave for my trip I felt like I had made some Italian friends already. The financial side of the process was handled so well and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any one lucky enough to need somewhere to stay in this beautiful, beautiful country. Thanks guys.

Travel tips

  • Once you step out of this apartment, you have so many options to get into the city. The trams and buses run really regularly.
  • There is a supermarket nearby which was so handy for milk for that long awaited cup of tea.
  • Really everything about this apartment is fabulous and we cannot think of any negatives at all.

October 2007 - The apartment is very nice, the size is good and it has all that is needed for a longer stay.

The management is very helpful, and very nice.

Unfortunately, Appartamento Ariele A can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
