Lovely Italian home perched cliff side in Praiano!

July 2023 - Unbelievably special home! What a dream to enjoy this comfortable and authentic space. Could not have been more thrilled to brew a cup of coffee in the kitchen as you overlook the sea, then sit on the veranda and soak in the warm sun and views of the sea, cliffs and beautiful vegetation that surrounds this lovely Italian home perched cliff side in Praiano!! Heaven.

Travel tips

  • We only scheduled one tour for the 11 days. The rest of the days we planned each day as it came.
  • The buses are not on time, which you can totally understand as the Amalfi Coast has only one major artery.
  • The Path of the Gods is a must do, visiting Ravello, Positano and Amalfi.
  • Praiano has amazing restaurants right on the beach.

Stunning views. Lovely apartment. A glorious part of the world.

May 2022 - The location of this villa is beyond belief. It's a 10-15 minute walk above the road — up 200+ stairs and walkways. It's an adventure not to be missed.

Pierluigi, the attentive, charming, punctual guide and caretaker of the property, introduced the magic of Appartamento Annarosa by meeting us at the local grocery and walking us up, helping with bags, showing us the space and answering questions. From this beautiful location in Praiano, you can tour Amalfi, Ravello, Positano — anywhere locally within an hour. Each view gets more glorious. The best way to do this, however, is not to rely on the bus system, which left us waiting up to an hour or .. didn't show.. Hiring a taxi or car and guide is a must to make the most of seeing the adjacent towns.

There is wonderful beyond-belief walking, hiking and eating everywhere, with stunning views. The house itself needs a few updates, but the experience of being there far exceeded those needs.

Can’t recommend this place enough or our host - enjoy!

June 2019 - We loved the spacious setting, the incredible views and peace and quiet away from the main Amalfi Coast road. The terrace and view was the highlight that we kept coming BACK to enjoying our evenings on the terrace - with our home cooked pasta meals made from fresh local ingredients from Mini Market Tutto Per Tutti. Can’t recommend this place enough or our host - enjoy!

You have to have a responsible level of fitness given the walk and steps from the main road - for us this made it even more of an adventure.

Our host Pierluigi [the caretaker] was fabulous, friendly and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful!

Summer In italy superbly helpful! Easy to review property availability and book online. We’d definitely use Summer In Italy again to book.

  • Loved the local walking and exploration of the back streets of Praiano, the Path of the Gods, Marina di Praia Beach for wonderful swimming and the local restaurants.
  • Mini Market Tutto Per Tutti had all we needed to enable a wonderful self catering experience.

The views from the terrace were amazing

June 2018 - Appartamento Annarosa C was very clean and spacious. Large enough for our family of 6. We had all the amenities we needed at the apartment and the views from the terrace were amazing. The kids enjoyed the canopy bed on the terrace and we loved eating outdoors on the terrace. We had a lot of privacy which we loved.

Pierluigi [the caretaker] in Praiano was a wonderful host and so very helpful! We could call him for help and he was so very nice to assist us!

We will definitely use Summer In Italy again. We were very happy with the service.

  • The supermarket was not far so we visited it several times.
  • We loved that Marina de Praia Beach was walking distance so we enjoyed that beach.
  • We rented a car so we were able to travel to nearby towns and beaches.
  • There was not much parking to be found so be prepared to walk.
  • Every restaurant we visited was amazing so try them all.
  • My boys enjoyed the Fjord of Furore.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay

May 2018 - My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Appartamento Annarosa C. As a family of four there was plenty of space for us, and it was nice to have the two bathrooms. The best place is the outdoor terrace, the view is truly breathtaking! We really liked all the loungers that were available for all of us to relax on. We had many of our meals outside on the beautiful patio table. This is a quiet and relaxing place, surrounded by a beautiful landscape of greenery and the scent of sweet jasmine flowers in the air! Even all the steps you have to climb are worth it. :)

Everyone at Summer In Italy was great to deal with, they are quick to respond to any inquiry and very detailed with all information about the apartment. Thank you!

  • It was great to have the Tutto per Tutti market so close by which had everything we needed.
  • We caught the local bus just near the market which took us to Positano for a day trip.
  • We enjoyed walking to the restaurants near the main town as well as the ones that were by the Marina di Praia Beach.

  • Praiano is in a very strategic position as it's between Amalfi and Positano. It's a perfect base to visit other towns on the coast without having to drive too far.

Beautiful apartment with a great view

September 2016 - Appartamento Annarosa C is a beautiful apartment with a great view. You will be truly rewarded after the many steps. It is clean and nicely decorated. The expansion is a bit old. But that did not spoil. The beds are large and comfortable. All in all it is a great apartment!

Summer In Italy web site is nice and clear. It answered quickly and has a lot of good tips. All is well communicated and of great help. Thanks for making my dreams come true!

  • If coming by car, there is little or difficult parking.
  • There are excellent restaurants in the turn.
  • The bus stop is close to the house.
  • Through the stairs on the left of the house you can go to the sea and the restaurant.
  • Great place to swim and relax.

June 2016 - Loved Appartamento Annarosa C. Beautiful views, everything we needed, very clean, good location big enough for 6 people, terrace is lovely. Would have liked a welcome pack (ie. water tea coffee and milk, we would have been prepared to pay as it is a long way back to supermarket).

  • A lot of steps and bit of walking but well worth. Try and get provisions at Tutto per Tutti when you arrive as it is a long way back after you've settled in.

Very relaxing and the view never got old! Would definitely return.

Summer In Italy has been great to deal with. The live chat feature helped us a lot while planning our trip. All questions answered quickly.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to walk steps. It was fine for us but would be a challenge for some people.
  • Tutti per Tutti grocery store couldn't have been more helpful. Pasquale made deliveries to the apartment on his scooter routinely and they offered us freshly picked basil when we asked.
  • Rented a 'rubber boat' for a tour of the coastline.
  • Boat trip to Capri was nice but not sure that anyone ever goes to the Blue Grotto as there was at least a two hour wait on a cloudy day.
  • Have a lunch at Restaurant Da Adolfo, it was amazing.
  • It was well worth hiring a driver to get to Praiano, driving is crazy.
  • Pompeii was good but I would suggest Herculaneum instead. Smaller and more to see.

August 2014 - Appartamento Annarosa C was great with all the amenities you would expect, other than a pool. The terrace area and views down the Amalfi Coast are excellent. The location is a bit of a walk along pedestrianized paths, but this might only be difficult when arriving/leaving with heavy suitcases.

  • Do not bring a car if you are staying in Praiano. There is nowhere to park and if you cannot get in any of the rarely available bays you will get a parking ticket.
  • The beach nearest the apartment is best and has most amenities but you need to get there early.
  • The beach at the other end of Praiano is good for swimming, jumping, diving but there is no real beach area.

July 2014 - Appartamento Annarosa C was a beautiful apartment.

It is not for those who are not into walking and climbing steps! After 5 days, we were in excellent shape from the aerobic workout!

Praiano is gorgeous, off the typical tourist path, and a real find. We would definitely go back!!!

  • Don't rent it if you have problems with steps. About 140 up to go anywhere. 236 down to the beach and a long steep walk back up!

The walk up to Appartamento Annarosa C is demanding (well worth it), but all the Amalfi Coast is either an uphill or downhill climb.

We are extremely pleased with the recommended accommodations (3 locations) and service offered by Summer In Italy. We had not been to Italy before and this was a first shot at dealing with Summer in Italy. A really positive experience and service given that all the arrangements were made over the internet and via e-mails.

  • Enjoy the view, relax and don't over-pack....
  • The walks from your vehicle (or bus stop), the beach and restaurants are demanding but enjoyable.

May 2012 - We loved, loved, loved our stay at Appartamento Annarosa C. Fortunata, our contact in Praiano was delightful and helpful and the management company was extremely easy to deal with when we were booking.

The villa was large and bright and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. The terrace was huge with amazing views. I would caution, though, that the walk to the villa is a bit of a challenge when dragging luggage. But, if you are up to the challenge the villa is well worth it.

Summer in Italy was extremely pleasant to deal with. The information we received and the constant contact made the arrival and departure seamless. Thank you for a memorable vacation. We plan on returning to Praiano in 2 years and we will definitely be in touch with Summer in Italy for our accommodation.

  • Since there are no kitchen extras in the apartment on arrival, I suggest packing a few necessities like salt/pepper,sugar, basic spices, if you plan on cooking during your stay. Saves on having to buy for the week and leaving it there.
  • The local market Tutto per Tutti is great and has selections of meat, produce, deli, wines/beer and cheeses to satisfy all. They accept major credit cards and even Amex so it is a great help. (No fresh fish). Pack a small knapsack to carry goods back to the apartment.
  • The walkways and (many) steps to the main road below are not lit well after dark, so dinners out may be tough while trying to return home in the dark, climbing well over 100 steps.
  • We cooked in every night and had our local restaurant choices for lunch. The local waterfront restaurants are a short walk and terrific.
  • We suggest you have the porter take your luggage on arrival and departure days. 20 Euro well spent.

August 2011 - We truly enjoyed our stay at the villa. Very clean with just about all you need, except beach towels. It was a beautiful setting with a wonderful view.

  • We spent our 7 days visiting the neighboring towns on the coast. The Sita bus system is very convenient if you avoid the busy times (we went in August and learned we needed to get the early morning bus to get a seat and avoid the crowds).
  • Praiano is a lovely little town. Tutto per Tutti market was a lifesaver. We stocked our fridge with the freshest Italian specialties!
  • Hosteria Il Pino was our favorite restaurant, where they treat you like royalty and the food is amazing!
  • Our best day was a boat excursion to Capri, which left from Positano. Just perfect!
  • Advice to future guest: beware of the steps!! Bring beach towels!! Avoid going in August if possible.

The property manager, Ms. Fortunata, was very pleasant and answered all our questions and concerns promptly.

Your website was very easy to navigate. Also, your properties were reasonably priced.

Travel tips

  • Please note that there is no car access to the apartment. It's a 10-minute walk from the road, and that includes 145 stairs (I counted them). It's a pleasant walk except when you're carrying luggage. After booking the apartment, enquire about getting a 'porter' to assist with luggage. We hired a porter when we left, and it was very helpful.
  • Also, the owners at Tutto per Tutti grocery store deliver groceries to your kitchen.: No cellular service in the vicinity of apartment, one needs to go to higher ground (near children's play area) to get a signal.
  • We recommend using limo services of Renato Cuomo ([email protected]) for transfers from the airport, train station and for a tour of the Amalfi coast... excellent service and best price! We took a tour of Furore, Ravello and Amalfi. Ravello was our favourite place!

May 2011 - The apartment was beautiful and everything we thought it would be. Although a few things did not work or were missing, the owners fixed immediately. The owners and the property manager were very hospital and readily available by phone.

All the rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated.

The terrace was amazing and we still all miss our view of sea.

Unfortunately, Appartamento Annarosa C can not be booked at this time.
